In another blow to the criminal enterprise known as the "Reign of Error of Dick and Dumb", a Federal judge ordered the release of 5 "terrorists" (NOT)  held illegally in Gitmo, stating the evidence linking the 5 to Al Qaeda was "held on a thin reed". The lads have been illegally held since 2001. 8 years of sitting in prison on trumpted up charges is yet another example of the hideous inhumanity practiced by this modern day :"gestapo" of Gonzalez, Bush and Cheney.

No wonder  Michael McCaskey collapsed during a speech last night....he may realize that his name is now in the pot of criminals to (hopefully) face charges in the world court for crimes against humanity.

Can we hope that justice will prevail and the forces behind this dark period in our history will pay for their crimes?

Lads? You make them sound like little school boys that were just waiting for the #5 bus to Mohammad Elementary School! Leave it to you to defend ANYONE in Al Qaeda! Sometimes dude you sicken me!

the truth hurts....the imprisonment of innocent people should be the "sickening" part of this story.

If you take a second to look up from your bowing and scapeing at the feet of President Gulag, you may see the light.

Innocent? I don't give them the benefit of the doubt after 911. The only scraping I'm doing is when I scrape the crap off my shoes that you drop every time you blog! If you think they are soooo innocent, take one of them into your home! Better yet, send a huge chunk of your income to their defense lawyer!

You forget when the poster boy for the liberal left Franklin Roosevelt put 110,000 Japanese Americans in internment camps! And they weren't even shooting at us! Get a life Duck!

the crimes against the Japanese Americans was another example of corrupted power...I guess you think that was a patriotic and wise abuse of power too?

Yellowdog, I do hope Barack lives up to his words regarding closing Gitmo & restoring the fact that the United States does not sanction Torture.

If not, I hope he, unlike Dubya, at least has the decency to not lecture other nations who do torture as if we still have a Moral standing over them.

If he can actually do those two things, I will be happy.

"the crimes against the Japanese Americans was another example of corrupted power...I guess you think that was a patriotic and wise abuse of power too?"

No but they weren't even shooting at us! And it was a Democrat that put them there! Your argument has no moral high ground!

FDR was wrong and Dumbo is wrong...where is the issue? FDR did not condone torture nor did he kidnap innocent men from other countries and hold them without trial for years.

Crudo did not violate international law because he was a Republican, he did so because he is criminal, disguised as a "leader". Hopefully justice will prevail....indict the torturers and liars,, off to the Hague with Dick, Dumb and his Cabal of Crooks.

"FDR was wrong and Dumbo is wrong...where is the issue?"

The issue is that in this case, these thugs were actually engaged in combat against us! Or do you forget that fact?

Like I said before, you make these people out to be innocent little "lads" waiting on the school bus as the evil American's scooped them up like the child catcher from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!" The movie and your assertion are both fantasies! They might not have been carrying Al Qaeda membership cards but I really couldn't care less when they are shooting at us!

EVEN the Judge that ordered their Release does NOT say that they are INNOCENT..He just said that the evidence isn't strong enough to HOLD them..NOT surprising coming from a Judiciary that conveyed CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS to TERRORISTS..

And I HOPE and PRAY that IF Obama closes Gitmo he releases these INNOCENT people in the Neighborhoods of those who CALLED for it..

Now THAT,,,would be JUSTICE indeed........

Speaking of Cuba, I hope relations are normalized soon.

I have ALWAYS considered the relations with Cuba to be something of a mystery..If SANCTIONS don't work after a couple of Years let alone DECADES,, they're NOT going to work at ALL..We're STILL beating a 40 year old for what they did when they were 6...

ALL we managed to do is set ourselves up to appear as the Goliath to Cuba's David and CEMENT into place the VERY regime that we started out opposing..

Between THIS and the Countries that got themselves involved in the Oil for Food Scandal with Saddam,, THUS violating their OWN Santions,, It's NO wonder that Places like Iran and N.Korea LAUGH at the Threat of Santions...

Two reason for the sanctions being continued.
1. Influential Cuban Americas (Republicans)
2. Pissed off Cuban Americans )Republicans).

These lads are obviously not guilty enough to be imprisoned and I am surprised that the torture didn't cause them to admit to kidnapping the Lindberg baby.

Oh Yeah and it was a Pissed Off Influentisl Republican that INSTITUTED the Sanction, wasn't it....

Like I said before,,YD..YOU are in danger of making yourself as Irrelevant under a Democrat Administration as you were under a Republican one..

LMAO..

Duckster,

I told you, they held the ladder!

___________

Good point Hawk!

Dr Duck will not respond to the fact that the sanction were put there by their hero. He'll quack his way around it as per normal.

Scenario: Terrorist are working within our Nation to explode a nuclear bomb. It is only a few hours away from detonating, the CIA are holding 1 or 2 terrorists who know what is going on, hundreds of thousands of US citizens will die or become sick from the fall out, what do you allow? Do you afford the terrorists a lawyer..or do you allow the CIA to be "persuasive" in getting even the slightest information out of them? They better be doing their best work for the sake of all of us. Would any of us here have denied any Law Enforcement Official (local, FBI, CIA, Secret Svc etc) told anyone to go easy on the lone hijacker (the one that did not make the plane on 9/11) or what if we had been on to them and stopped even one plane from taking off (even if it meant sending 2 or 3 Saudis to paradise from "persuasive" interrogation? No one has any civil rights if they are planning to take away mine with a bomb or some other disastrous method. If they let these men go then they better make sure they send them back to their kingdom and get them the hell out of mine.

You're assuming any information gotten would be accurate. Big assumption when a terrorist is willing to die for his goals.

I liked it better when we sent people to other countries to be tortured. Then we could at least pretend to believe we had some kind of moral high ground against uncivilized nations who do use barbaric methods. Usually to unfruitful ends.
