News junkies are going to love what the media has ready for them when Pope Benedict XVI visits New York and Washington, D.C.

I think it's safe to say that every newsroom in both cities (and most in between) are quickly moving into overdrive when it comes to their papal coverage. (The pope will be in the U.S. April 15-20.)

For starters, here at Fox 5 News we're doing something we've never done before when covering a papal trip: we're using the web -- specifically your favorite website, MyFoxNY.com-- to present you with all the information we can gather.

Also, we'll be live streaming our television coverage.

What you won't see: shots from above (not heaven... think a little closer to earth ;->) ... there is a 'no-fly' zone over the papal motorcade.

Who said myfoxny was our favorite website?? :)
Okay, okay, I admit it! Where else can I share a joke, chat with friends and be viciously attacked at the same time. Myfoxny is a true one stop shop. I love it.

I would like to see the Pope in person, but I am not going to try and fight the crowds! Looks like I'll be checking myfoxny. You guys better not miss anything! No pressure, though.

No pressure? Sounds like pressure to me!
Just kidding, Daniel. We will keep updating that page befor, during and after the Holy Father's visit.

And speaking of your favorite website, who viciously attacks you? I'll come after them!

Thanks for the support, Kathy, but I can handle it. I am not easily intimidated. I don't even want to give any attention to it because it is so childish. You can see if you look. I'll say no more.

As to the page updates, that sounds like it will keep your group very busy. I will be checking.

I absolutely loved Pope John Paul. I felt he made changes that adapted to these new times. I feel he was the example of Unconditional Love of all.

I do not understand why I cannot feel the same about Pope Benedict, feeling that he is going backwards in time.

What am I not seeing?

Pope Benedict comes across as a more serious person than did the very outgoing Pope John Paul. But if the countless stories written and reported about him in the last few days are any indication, Benedict is a very nice person. Hopefully, we'll get to see that side of him during his trip to the United States.
