We've had some great discussions the past few weeks about the debates... and now, we're at the final presidential debate. You can watch it streaming live on MyFoxMilwaukee.com (we'll be running it on tape delay after the 10 p.m. news because of baseball).

Just like my previous posts, I'm going to pose these questions to you bloggers:

Tonight's debate will focus on economy...

  • What are your expectations?
  • Do you think (or hope) one or both of the candidates will throw heavy punches?
  • Are you looking for a clear winner in the debate?
  • Will the debate help you decide who to vote for or is your mind already made up?
  • What topics do you think should be covered?

During the debate, feel free to come back to this post and share your thoughts while you watch...

Don't forget to come on back after the debate to share your thoughts on how things went.

Wealth

Funny about spreading the wealth around. Today at work, union shop I might add. A die hard union employee said her husband was on the phone with their mortgage co. finding out if the ones in foreclosure were getting bailed out with a 4% interest rate. 'Cause if they were, that would not be fair since they have been paying their mortgage on time every month they should get the 4% percent as well. I said welcome to the Republican party. Sucks having to work hard and pay your bills just to have the "less fortunate" end up on top. I told her to practice the way she votes and spread the wealth around. That family probably makes less than she does and that is not fair. She was not a happy democrat. But, still is voting for Obama cause McCain is trying to get rid of the middle class. All I can say is ignorance has now turned to stupidity sorry to say. When reality stares you in the face like that, how can anyone deny the obvious.........stunning!

Dang, sorry for the rant on this blog. Did not mean to get off course. I just watched the video and it had some relevance to my experience today, sorry about that. Now, onto the debate.

Obama and McCain will only repeat what they said at the last debate, they both seem to be reading from script.

This was McCain's best debate, but Obama seems to have the momentum right now.

Unless Obama slips up with a major blunder in the next 3 weeks...

it's looking more and more like some soul coming in the white house soon,

or... get the BLACK paint buckets ready,

or New National Holiday called,"Obama Day" November 5th!

Exact, clear differences with this debate. I am very happy with it. No need to rehash it all, but my overall perception is this. Either vote for more government involved in your personal life with defined spending plans or.... lose some government, leave more decisions for the family to make with less overall government spending. That's my take.

It was a very good debate. They were both strong and stood their ground. I appreciated that neither really ducked issues. McCain tried a couple times but he was put back on track.
I loved watching the facial expressions.
This one was the most informative.
Good questions and a nice free flowing feeling.

Bad news for The Senile One:

Joe The Plumber is not even registered to vote in Ohio.

I think McCain was just jabbing instead of a knock out because he want you to decide.
Hoover's tax plan is identical to Obama's, Hoover drove the country into the depression.

He challenged Obama to be honest about Ayers and ACORN and Obama gave the same old stump responds.

when it came to economics Obama repeatedly said the same old song and dance.

McCain gave clear responds to the root cause of the crisis. We have to get these houses off the market.

Investment by private sector into an energy explosion would and millions of high paying jobs.

Obama continues to want to use ethanol, a whole chicken went from $3 to $7 since the ethanol push, I really can't see paying $12 for a chicken.

Ras...how are they just stump responses? What if it's the truth? I think both men were being honest both in their words and facial expressions. They didn't give us all the answers, but they answered the questions put forth. They both used the same song and dance they've been using. The main focus of the debate was having them confront each other on the accusations they've made in their commercials and on the campaign trail.

they were the same responds he been making.

And that makes them untrue?
He said he didn't announce his campaign at Ayer's house. He said they were on a board together with many other people.
What more do you want?
You are assuming there's more to it just out of your hate for Obama.
Relax.

I intentionally did not watch it. The only moment I caught was a brief moment of Obama lieing about his "position" related to partial birth abortions...........that was all I could handle of it anyhow.

And this AM, I saw, on CNN of all places, a fact check on Mr. Obama's comments related to his relationsip with ACORN. Not suprisingly, he was less than honest there as well.

At this point, all Obama has to do is say the "politically correct" thing, and he will be fine. Most of the media won't call him on it, and Mr. McCain seems far too reluctant as well.

I actually was more curious to see what the "spin" would be. Seems that according to the media gurus, McCain lost the debate and the election is over.

Why even bother and vote?????

Exactly. One vote doesnt make a difference. LOL

Yeah, that's it, give up and then blame it on the media and the other guy.
What kind of sense is that, Dose?
Ask Jesse Ventura, who is one of the few Independants to win the Governor's office, how important one vote is.
I am sure the Obama camp appreciates you giving up.
I know I do. As someone who is writing-in a vote I know it will only help my cause.

GO read the Chicago Annenberg Challenge report, and tell me if he is telling the truth.

That is what Obama said was his experience. He has more then one time deal with Acorn. He was deeply involved in Acorn during the time Acorn was pushing bankers to give bad loans.

Just to be clear, I will vote. What I was saying saying was that there seemed to be a message of that the election was over, from the media of course.

Rasguy I think lying goes with the territory. They ALL lie, so forget that argument, they all cancel each other out on that one.
