Are you planning to watch the Vice Presidential Debate tonight?

I probably will... because 1. I'm curious and 2. I'm a nerd.

Do you have any pre-debate thoughts? Who is going to "win?"

Feel free to post any mid-debate or post-debate thoughts here as well.

And, just in case you were wondering, there are drinking games out there as well. *

*If you do drink, please do so responsibly.

I want to be on the record as predicting the ratings for the VP debate overshadow the presidential candidate debates by a longshot.

If I had to quantify it, I'd say at least 50% more viewers will tune in tonight...

If it's balanced, (Ifill has a book with "Obama" in the title do out) Palin should lay Biden out.

Biden said Nuclear, Ticket of change changes again now Nuclear ok.

6 moths ago Obama was anti nuclear.

Pointed it out in McCain's plan.

I guess the Obama slogan is McCain is right!

Palin nailed Biden on his own words. and he still reading off cue cards.

He did say Obama was not ready.

He did say he'd run with McCain.

Biden often got the chance to make two points, and give Palin time to respond to one, then give Binden another run, then new Question

Fair and Balanced ?

when Biden was listing what McCain wasn't a maverick on, he discredit himself by saying the war.

Everyone Know the Surge was all McCain.

There was something to be said about Biden's body language. When he got a jab he smiled, and if he wanted to reply he stood forward.

But what's really interesting is, when Palin spoke about going to Washington to clean up, Binden sank backwards.

ras you're so busy trash talking , I guess you forgot to notice how many questions Sarah decided to ignore... she sang her stump song all night long... was there even a question or was this time for her to wink and "ya'll talk" us into liking her... and it seems to have worked like a charm on you... did you put sarah on your desktop image?

I think sarah did a fine job reading her talking points and getting friendly with America. Biden was pretty good too.

I wish he'd have directly addressed the many misleading statements Palin kept making as she ignored the questions and stumped.

So its one thing to claim your an aggressive tax cutter... but if you fail to clarify that Alaska has positive cashflow from the oil and timber resources they extract...

its misleading to the rest of mainland America where tax cuts mean less money for education, infrastructure, and public services.

Its easy to call yourself a maverick when your work is easy... but leading this nation through an economic collapse is nothing like cutting taxes by drilling more in your backyard.

I wish Sarah would have directly talked about, Biden 20 day old earmarks worth 51.5 million.

She did talk about the positive cash flow from the oil companies, And the rebate.

That was when Biden ask her to talk to McCain about the windfall tax.

Misleading, yes Biden was. now it's unfair, cause I researched so I knew when it was BS.

I thought it was great when Palin addressed the impossible 1.2 trillion in new spending.
Unless Gates and Trump die right after Obama replaces the death tax, of 35%, there is no way to pay for it. It will never get threw
the senate and the house.
And what about the sink back when she Addressed Corruption.

Biden said that he and Obama don't want to question people motives on bills. That is more of the same. That is why we have uncontrolded spending, corruption, and kickbacks.

They each held their own, Biden trumped her on foreign issues and she trumped him on energy. Those were the two big ones. What put her a step ahead was how many times she factually put him in his place with all of his flip flops on Obama. You know, how he felt when we was in the race during the primaries compared to how he stands now. Another cool point is how it started to become a he said/she said situation and she publicly stated to leave it to the pundants and their "truth 'o' meters to ummmm....how would you say, weigh it out. That fact check segment on CNN occured about 15 min. after the presidential debate. It DID NOT happen at all, as of yet, after the VP debate. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fact check on Cnn won't happen. The misleading facts came from Biden not Palin. CNN don't feel the need to be fair and balanced.

According to the preliminary Nielsen numbers, about 45% of American households watched the VP debate, versus just over 30% for McCain/Oblahblah.

That's jusssst about a 50% larger audience, as predicted by whooooom in this very thread yesterday?

Granted, I dig me enough for everybody, but feel free to join in anyway...

It was amazing...........numerous polls indicated that Biden "won"
.........yet.......somehow......Palin seems to have answered all the critics and has again garnered more attention than McCain or Obama..........and it isn't just because of her features.

She is REAL. You may disagree with her, but, one never gets the sense that she is thinks she is above anybody else.

How refreshing!

Dose...in other words...cutesy, folksy talk works with you, eh?
I thought she sounded incredibly fake and she was also using notes and talking points. Although I noticed she was using a computer and Biden had paper and pen. They both had their notes and talking points.
Palin avoided questions completely and Biden was boxing and would duck when the swing came.
They both were incredibly fake and pandering.
It made me ill to watch.
