I finally broke down and ordered a new computer. I've had my laptop since my last year of college and, well, it has seen much better days!

I'm making the switch to Mac with a 24 in. iMac and it's coming tomorrow!!! Good thing I don't work Fridays, because I'll be setting up my new computer and transferring files all day long.

:)

I've been watching some of the Mac commercials at Apple.com today. They are so clever (and hilarious).

What's your favorite? I would have to say that the two I posted below are probably my favorites so far.

That is sooo cool that you are getting a new computer. My exchange student ordered one from Dell, and we have had nothing but problems. And we have not even gotten the computer yet. Today I spent an hour on the phone, trying to get a manager while getting hung up on and argued with and transferred to the wrong area before I gave up and sent an e:mail to their "Unresolved complaint" center. I am sure that is the same black hole they put our calls in. This experience is actually making me appreciate Time Warner's customer service.

Sounds like you have a computer curse MrsT. Were you the one who had trouble having one delivered at Christmas time?

That was my mom, and that was also a Dell, but it was DHL that was giving us the trouble. Surprised you remembered. But I do have a horror story regarding gateway though. But since I won't be using them again, I don't need to repeat it. But these people are ticking me off. All I wanted was to talk to a manager, and after 4 days of requesting, being hung up on, blindly transferred to the wrong area, argued with that the rep on the other end did not need a manager because they could handle it, I finally e:mailed their unresolved complaint line. But so far, I had talked with over 9 people had to re order my computer two times aside from the first time, and now they won't give us the promotion from the first time eventhough they messed up the order. Now I am looking through the board of directors and will start sending them e:mail or calling them if I can find phone numbers online even if it is their personal home numbers which I have actually done in the past. I finally told them they had three options, first credit the account for the promotion, second, send a gift card for that amount, or they can just send two computers and bill for one to repay me for my wasted time. LOL

Now you sound like my husband. LOL. He will not have anything but a Mac except for his work computer which happens to be a Dell. I am not liking them too much at the moment. Maybe I will have to blog this experience, but I want to wait and see what the resolution is first.

Thanks everyone for the comments! I love my new computer! I call it "mac daddy" because my friends said it needed a name.

@gardendesigner I've actually used macs before so I dont think I'll need any lessons, but I'll keep that in mind!
