I read on another site, that there is a suggestion that the Republican's may turn their convention into a fund raising event for posible victims of Gustav.
This all sound wonderful, but after reading that one of the convention planners called the timing of Gustav challenging to their event, I hope that no one is considering making campaign points off of what could be a real tradgedy.
I would hope that no one from either party would take advantage of a horrible storm, or disaster for votes--in fact this would be a good idea to show non-partisanism in action. Both candidates have talked about brining our nation together.
Now is the time for us to come together as a nation to help all those in need, whether they are victims of a disaster or victims of crime, drugs, and poverty.
