In college I took a course on the Presidents which taught about men like Washington and Jefferson and for what they stood. They  were men of character and morals willing to give all for the independance of this nation. I look at the crop of candidates running now and wonder how they would stack up against such men of yesteryear? Does the sense of freedom really burn in the bellies of these Presidential hopefuls? My gut feeling is the current crop cannot come close to filling the role established by our forefathers and the sad part they either don't care or do not have the honor to fill such shoes.

as a sixth grader last year I was taught a lot about washington and jefferson. All of the things they fought for I belive in also. These men had the curage to stand up for what they believed in to the most powerful force i all of the world at that time. They are men to look up to in the world and how they commpare to the presidents of today the prezidents of the colonial times would win hands down. They were honerablenoble men. Thats what you should look for along with the power to rule.

Our Forefathers,

May God Bless their Souls, because after all the EVIL they participated in (Slave and Opium Trades) they are going to need it!

Our Forefathers fought for their own FREEDOM but allowed African American Slaves to remain and live like Animals, thus 3/5 of a Human
:-o

Dare not mention President Linclon-a man who coveted the Wealth of the South and often referred to Blacks as Ni66ers, and wanted to send them back to Africa (Liberia) after the Civil War was over :-(

Our Forefathers built Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Railroads from the proceeds of Blood Money (Free Forced African American Slave Labor and Opium Trades).

Then you turn around and give Blacks Civil Rights and the RIGHTS to VOTE in the 60's, no wonder Blacks are Poor, Bitter and Cling to Guns and Religion!

So why would any Modern Politician want to be like America's Forefathers, when the Forefathers didn't practice their own Fancy Words as written in their Ancient Documents?

Looks like Jim has his own version of History. Darn shame he tried to lump everone into one basket. Sorry but that dog just will not hunt on this blog. I for one enjoy my freedom just like all Americans regardless of skin color. This is not the Rev Wright blog so show some care about this great nation and how it became to be the greatest nation on earth.

You're right we're not all in the same basket, especially when I look in the mirror and see a Black Face that is challenged by a Racists Society.

Here's the deal, I bet you're glad "Luck" made you White, so in your World America is a Great Nation.

In my World the Founding Fathers sat back while African Americans were Raped, Lynched, and Burnt at the Stake :-o

African Americans received Civil Rights in the 60's, and you say America is a Great Nation?

Guess you want me to feel sorry for you, well I don't. I wasn't around in the 1700 nor were you so quit trying to convince the world you are a vic and everone should feel sorry for you. I believe the American Indians have more of a gripe about the past. But that History and we learn from History, we don't continue living in the past. Get over it.

Dont Need your SORROW! I'll get over it when Congress and the Senate APOLOGIZE for Slavery, which Congress has already done!

Congress APOLOGIZED for Slavery, Jim Crow, and the EFFECTS the two has had on African Americans, so I guess the Nation still hasn't "Gotten Over It"...

I love all Races, but ONE has to admit Europeans and the White Race has done demage to America's History and Flag :-)
