Once again, we need your input!!

Let us know what conditions are like at your house:

How much snow....if any is falling right now...slippery road and/or sidewalk conditions...do we need time to scrape our windshields?

You get the idea.

We'll be passing along your observations all morning long.

Thanks in advance,
Sue

Good Morning Sue and David!

I measured my final snow total on my white snowboard as a trained weather spotter for the National Weather Service and I have picked up 2.8 inches of snow for the entire event.

There is also a signficant coating of ice under that snow on paved surfaces because of the snow mixing with rain and melting earlier last night. The temperature is currently 25 degrees here with an average wind speed of 11 mph.

Just a coating of snow on the lawns here in Abington. Temp 23.8 wind out of the east at 16 gusts to 29mph. I am a new watcher of the show and I am very curious about the metro (zoomed) radar behind Sue bottom left corner. Why is it showing the same loop? I started watching last Thursday curiosity made me check it on Friday and I was really scratching my head this morning. Same 4 sweeps...same radar return same refresh. Why show a fake radar loop? Is it a budget thingy? If you need a link to a free metro radar let me know and I can send you a link.

good morning sue! I live in sicklerville nj (camden county) and we've picked up an inch and a half. I was shocked because at ten pm we had little snow on the ground but when i woke up the street, grass, and sidewalks we completely covered. We must have had a nice band last night! Have a good day!

I have been the weather anchor on Good Day Philadelphia since December of 1997. It's been quite a ride, and I've been extremely fortunate. I've spent much of my time during the years taking weather on location. Those experiences have afforded me so many opportunities I never would have had otherwise. I've visited countless schools and been able to show our viewers some of the positive things going on in the classrooms in our area. We've been able to focus on the many teachers working very hard, and the students who will always remember when TV came to their school. I'm also proud of encouraging our viewers to be "tourists in their own hometown." We've taken you to special spots, like the Camden Children's Garden, the Constitution Center, and hundreds more. These are places I might have procrastinated about visiting on my own, but thanks to this job, I've been able to feel so much a part of this community as the folks out there have opened their arms. How lucky am I? My daughter has been a part of this program, periodically, from the time she was six months old. And even now, people who recognize me and Nia when we're out and about remember when I did the weather from our house on her first day of kindergarten. She is in fourth grade! So many of her childhood memories are preserved on Good Day, and I am grateful. Just in the last year, we've made astounding technological changes here at Fox 29, and it's exciting to work with the very latest in state-of-the-art technology. My latest thrill is this blog. I look forward to hearing from you!
