Sue's Musings

I have to blog about this thing that happened to me the other night because I think it's good information.

I came into the kitchen area from the basement, and smelled something strange. I knew I had bathed, so I went about investigating, since I thought it might be gas. I checked the burners on the stove, etc. and all was ok.

Since I knew I wouldn't sleep with the fear of my house blowing up, I called PECO's 24 hour number: 1-800-841-4141.

I was amazed at how quickly the technician got there. And I'm happy to report that there was no gas leak at my house.
And no, it wasn't a poor attempt at cooking on my part.

I appreciate the peace of mind I got from PECO's quick response. And I thought you should know in case the same thing ever happens to you.

I had a funny smell in my house recently. It turns out it was just a result of too much cheese at the Office Christmas Party.

This would make my morning, seeing Sue have one of those gas leaks when she is tossing it over to Dorothy at the traffic center.

I was hoping the title of this blog entry would amuse those who appreciate a touch of bathroom humor, like my nine-year-old. Lukesdad, thanks...you did not disappoint!

I have been the weather anchor on Good Day Philadelphia since December of 1997. It's been quite a ride, and I've been extremely fortunate. I've spent much of my time during the years taking weather on location. Those experiences have afforded me so many opportunities I never would have had otherwise. I've visited countless schools and been able to show our viewers some of the positive things going on in the classrooms in our area. We've been able to focus on the many teachers working very hard, and the students who will always remember when TV came to their school. I'm also proud of encouraging our viewers to be "tourists in their own hometown." We've taken you to special spots, like the Camden Children's Garden, the Constitution Center, and hundreds more. These are places I might have procrastinated about visiting on my own, but thanks to this job, I've been able to feel so much a part of this community as the folks out there have opened their arms. How lucky am I? My daughter has been a part of this program, periodically, from the time she was six months old. And even now, people who recognize me and Nia when we're out and about remember when I did the weather from our house on her first day of kindergarten. She is in fourth grade! So many of her childhood memories are preserved on Good Day, and I am grateful. Just in the last year, we've made astounding technological changes here at Fox 29, and it's exciting to work with the very latest in state-of-the-art technology. My latest thrill is this blog. I look forward to hearing from you!
