Here goes my New Years Resolution

1. I will spend less than one hour a day on the Internet, this, of course will be hard to estimate since I'm not a clock watcher.
2. I will no longer waste my time relieving the past, instead I will spend it worrying about the future.
3. I will not sit in my living room all day in my night cloths, instead, I will move my computer into the bedroom.
4. I will try to lose 20lbs., I am now at 1?8.

On the rear of the One Dollar bill, you will see two circles.

Together, they comprise the Great Seal of the  United States . 
  
The First Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and

a group of men come up with a Seal. It took them four years to

accomplish this task and another two years to get it approved. 
  
If you look at the left-hand circle, you will see a Pyramid.

 Notice the face is lighted, and the western side is dark. This country was just beginning. We had not begun to explore the west or decided what we could do for Western Civilization.  The Pyramid is uncapped, again signifying that we were not even close to being finished.  Inside the capstone you have the all-seeing eye, an ancient symbol for divinity.  It was Franklin's belief that one man couldn't do it alone, but a group of men, with the help of God, could do anything. 
  
'IN GOD WE TRUST' is on this currency.

The Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, means, 'God has favored our undertaking.' The Latin below the pyramid, NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM, means, 'a new order has begun.' At the base of the pyramid is the Roman Numeral for 1776. (MDCCLXXVI) 
  
If you look at the right-hand circle, and check it carefully, you will learn that it is on every National Cemetery in the United States It is also on the Parade of Flags Walkway at the Bushnell, Florida National Cemetery , and is the centerpiece of most hero's monuments. Slightly modified, it is the seal of the President of the  United States , and it is always visible whenever he speaks, yet very few people know what the symbols mean. 

The Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons: First, he is not afraid of a storm; he is strong, and he is smart enough to soar above it.  Secondly, he wears no material crown. We had just broken from the King of England Also, notice the shield is unsupported. This country can now stand on its own. At the top of that shield you have a white bar signifying congress, a unifying factor. We were coming together as one nation.  In the Eagle's beak you will read, ' E PLURIBUS UNUM' meaning,'one from many.'

Above the Eagle, you have the thirteen stars, representing the thirteen original colonies, and any clouds of misunderstanding rolling away. Again, we were coming together as one. 
  
Notice what the Eagle holds in his talons. He holds an olive branch and arrows.  This country wants peace, but we will never be afraid to fight to preserve peace.  The Eagle always wants to face the olive branch, but in time of war, his gaze turns toward the arrows. 
  
They say that the number 13 is an unlucky number. This is almost a worldwide belief. You will usually never see a room numbered 13, or any hotels or motels with a 13th floor. But think about this: 
  
13 original colonies, 
13 signers of the Declaration of Independence, 
13 stripes on our flag, 
13 steps on the Pyramid, 
13 letters in, 'Annuit Coeptis,' 
13 letters in 'E Pluribus Unum,' 
13 stars above the Eagle, 
13 bars on that shield, 
13 leaves on the olive branch, 
13 fruits, and if you look closely, 
13 arrows. 
  
And finally, if you notice the arrangement of the 13 stars in the right-hand circle you will see that they are arranged as a Star of David.  This was ordered by George Washington who, when he asked Hayim Solomon, a wealthy Philadelphia Jew, what he would like as a personal reward for his services to the Continental Army,  Solomon said he wanted nothing for himself but that he would like something for his people.  The Star of David was the result.  Few people know that it was Solomon who saved the Army through his financial contributions but died a pauper. 
  
I always ask people, 'Why don't you know this?'  Your children don't know this, and their history teachers don't know this.  Too many veterans have given up too much to ever let the meaning fade.  Many veterans remember coming home to an  America that didn't care.  Too many veterans never came home at all. 
  
I for one, plan to share this page with everyone, so they can learn what is on the back of the  United States  one dollar bill -- and what it stand for!

I wonder just how many children have been missing first of all  in and around this area, Yea a body could had been dumped there to get the child way past a persons home, But the back of my mind says this could very well could be Caylee. If so, I think Casey is going to crack!! She will not be able to hide the truth no longer.

Since when was a human's  life valued less than a Flat screen TV? I think this whole "Black Friday" is named wrong, they should re name it  "Black and Blue Friday" People pushing, shoving, fighting over items that you only get $5.oo to  $10.00 off. I have never shopped on Black Friday, just because of the whole blown out of control people. Some of these stores will only have 10 of what 100's are standing outside waiting on and we all know people are going to get hurt trying their best to get the 1 outta 10. So we have this young part time worker man get killed and another lady that lost her baby by trying to help a person out, this is insane!  Why not start putting things on sale way before Thanksgiving and keep all on sale til after Christmas??  Or until supplies last.

You give Thanks one day for all that you have an go out the next and get killed!

Mayor Willie W. Herenton and Memphis City Council are pleased to announce that the City of Memphis again will sponsor a summer enrichment and employment program for the city's youth. The Memphis Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) for 2009 is a major component of Memphis Youth Achieve-a new effort by the City of Memphis designed to ensure that the needs and aspirations of Memphis' youths are better served year-round.


 

Eligibility: Resident of City of Memphis Youths 14 to 21 as of June 8, 2009 are welcomed and encouraged to register. Participants shall be selected by lottery.

Program Period:

June 8, 2009 - July 31, 2009 (eight weeks)

Registration:

November 15, 2008 through January 11, 2009

Ole Tom, I was thumbing my way threw the traffic blogs yesterday and said to my self, "Self, Tom is running outta blogs to read on air and he will soon be reading comments" HAHA! Yup I/Self was right, LMBOOTAYO!!, uh hum, so you got me again. I think rubber necking is to far into my system that I cannot stop it, I would like to say I would try to,  but Nah, I don't think I can.

 Here is the update on the guy I was telling you about, I hope you enjoy this along with whoever else reads it.

Greetings from India - yes, I had some R and R that I needed to 'use or lose'.  After doing some medical work, dental work, new keyboard for my computer and another Afghan visa here in Delhi I head to Goa, just south of Mumbai, where I'll be a beach bum for a week and watch the terrorists come ashore in the rafts from my beach hut - wink - trouble always finds me.

Good news project-wise:  We've been awarded the grant to provide capacity building to Kabul Municipality in the form of city planning mentors, organizational management mentors, and IT capacity.  Kabul is the fastest growing city in the world - with argueably the poorest infrastructure, boasting 4.5 million people in a city designed for 400,000.  Interesting trivia is that the World Toilet Association - true, not fabricated - ranks Afghanistan last in the world in sanitation.  It's a 2 year project for $1.5 M which includes a component to do assessments and a pilot project in the needy hillside developments.  It's a very timely and much needed intervention.

Along with that award we have a $500,000 project to educate the people of Kabul province in mitigating the disastrous earthquake effects of the imminent 'big one'.  Again, it's a 2 year project which will utilize public service announcements to cover the local population, mentoring engineers in the University and technical institutes to incorporate seismic mitigation measures in construction, and working with the Municipality in developing policy related to building codes and inspections.  If it is successful it will minimize the inevitable damage and loss of life as at the present Kabul isn't nearly ready to absorb such a disaster. 

The water project up north is completed, we've begun construction on 3 bridges, and the livelihoods project helping 200 women in Takhar province is ongoing.  I've updated the water supply album and added an album for both the bridges and livelihoods which can be viewed online at www.picasaweb.google.com/williekish.

As I mentioned before I have chosen to leave the organization I've been working with.  Now that we've obtained the funding I feel free to start looking for employment.  I hope to remain in Afghanistan in some capacity.  If any friends on this mailing list have any ideas or leads I'd appreciate hearing from you. 

So, I will arrive Stateside Dec. 21st and be there unitl I find something else to give myself to.  I expect my time will be short but I would love to see as many of you as is possible.

I found this pretty funny after a few people were saying the  Outsiders could find or should find work in their own city  and that the people of Memphis,,, let me make this clear {Not all the people in Memphis feel this way and adding blogger's too} Just the one(s) that was bashing the outsiders. And also to add,  they did not need our money inside Memphis.

Here is the Kicker! I was watching the news and they were reporting on a lot of Memphis City shoppers were going to Horn Lake/South Haven to spend their money, due to the taxes and not having to worry about being robbed due to all the police and security they have. I wonder if our  bloggers,  Sexomatic was among one of those shoppers?? HAHA!

Kelly Osbourne, 23, and her 18-year-old model boyfriend Luke Worrall are now open about their engagement. It was Worrall who made it official by releasing the news on his Facebook profile, changing his status to “…engaged to Kelly Osbourne.”

Kelly, 24, has been dating her BMX biker boyfriend, 18, for four months. She has been seen wearing a ring on her engagement finger and recently, she moved in with Worrall. This last weekend, Worrell officially announced his engagement on his Facebook book.

I just heard about this today and I have to say she is lookin good with her soon to be even cuter   husband. Luke also asked Ozzy for his permission , I wonder what Ozzy said and even if Luke could understand him, Uh yum lung as yum stake berry gould care uh her. mumble mumble mumble.
Congrats to them both!!!!

Janis Fullilove &  Wanda Halbert need to chill , there are reason why people are not getting hired,

Maybe we should forget about those shiny new flyovers and pay the police enough to attract and keep our brightest, most dedicated, career-oriented young men and women? Don’t we want to hire the best people we can to protect our families and enforce the laws of our society?

Nah… let’s just lower the standards so we can hire lower-qualified people. The kind of people that we never would have trusted before with a police officer’s authority. Yes, let’s hire people who aren’t educated enough to compete in the real world employment market. Why not lower the Fire department, Truck driver's, any  place else that may need many people to fill the job, lower their standards as well!!.

I am sure that many people that live outside of the city and county spend their hard earned money inside the limits. So why don't they even give the people a chance?

Ok, most of you know I like to run my mouth a lot, since todays' blogs are kinda slow and with all that I have on my mind, I thought I would share something to all my friends and anyone else that wants to read. I went to see my Doctor this week for a follow up on some blood work and x-rays I had done a few weeks ago. Well my X-rays on my lungs turned out lookin better than it was a few weeks ago. So my blood work came back not good again, it's my white blood cell count, he said it was actually higher this time than 3 weeks ago. So he told me that he wanted me back in 2 weeks to follow up again. He gave me a B12 shot and he has me on Folic acid pills due to it all being very low. He said if my blood work comes back high again he was sending me to a blood specialist and he said they may want to do a bone marrow test on me because he thinks I have or I could get Lukemiea. So with me already having a bad liver and fixing to have a biopsy done on that, I have really be down a bit. I mean who wants to hear that you could have Lukemiea? I was in a state of shock when he told me this. So I have to sit and worry about this until my blood work in 2 weeks and if it turns out high still, well I will have to worry even more til they day I go have this precedure done.
So you never know what will happen to you at any givin time, but I know God knows just what he has instore for me and I will deal with it.

You all should remember this lady/man that was being beat by an officer  a while back, last nite she was found dead.



Duanna Johnson

A deadly shooting in north Memphis overnight has homicide investigators are looking for suspects.

Police were called to Hollywood and Staten just before midnight where they found the victim laying on the ground dead.

A witness told police three people ran away from the scene but couldn't give anymore information.

Johnson made news when a video showing a cop hitting Johnson was released to the public.

Duannel Johnson was born a male but identifies as a female known as Duanna.

Johnson and was arrested for prostitution at the time the beating video was made.
