Looking into the future

Green Bay - Oct. 14, 2028 - The Packers announced today that their second year quarterback will be lost for the season after suffering a knee injury last week in a game against the Giants.  Brett Favre, the 59 year old Hall of Famer, contacted coach Mike McCarthy Jr. and offered to come out of retirement to help the team out.  Favre made similar offers in 2008, 2015, 2018, and 2025 but the team did not have him back on any of those occasions.  Favre, in an emotional announcement, said he still missed the game, knew he could still play at a high level,  and knew he was still loved in Titletown and just wanted to help.  He added that he had finally completed work on his estate in Hattiesburg and had plenty of time on his hands.  The coach reportedly told Favre to stand by and he would contact him after the season's final game to see if he still felt the same and they would talk about next year.  McCarthy Jr. also inquired about the status of Favre filing his retirement papers with the league to which Favre responded "oh yeah, Deanna mentioned something about that last night - I guess I'll get to it one of these days".

Your reaction to last week's Favre-might-be-back news was similar to mine.

My take was (and is) that Favre has effectively put a hit on Aaron Rogers...

I may not be a "special" Packer fan, as you put it, but I am a real one. And my blogs are real as well - which is more than I can say for yours. I don't know what you do for a living my dear, but commedy is definitely not your genre.
We don't all have to agree with one another - but this is supposed to be a forum for people to come and have REAL discussions about REAL issues.
Anyone can make up a "pretend future" story - but what, if any, purpose is there to doing so? Is your little fairy tale supposed to be entertaining? Were you hoping to showcase your wit?
To be fair, you did get some attention out of it - as this reply proves. So, if that is what you needed, I hope I've been able to give you at least a portion of the recognition you were seeking...
I sincerely apologize (in advance) for whatever I've said herein that you will find offensive, but I just had to say something.... I really did. You went so far out into fantasy land with your "look into the future" in regard to the GBP - I can only imagine what delusions you have for the future in general...
I'm just guessing - but I would not be surprised to find out that you are one of those "2012" believers, or worse... Set the GBP aside - I just wish you well and wellness in your own future...
