According to some stats, 70% of Evangelical Christians believe that Christ is one of many ways to God.  If that is the case, then they are not Christians.  Christianity is exclusive.  Jesus Christ is the ONLY way. One cannot be a true Christian if they believe that any other path leads to God other than Jesus.

Obama is NOT a Christian, as some espouse.  Obama believes there a many paths to God. He has made this clear by his refusals to answer such a question. The true definition of a Christian includes the words of Jesus, who said “no on comes to the Father but by ME”. If one does not believe that, one cannot be, and is not a Christian.  To believe that there a many ways is Pantheism, and is contrary to Christianity.

This country is in for a very rude awakening.  Yes, Change will come, but it will not benefit this country, it will be its downfall. Here are some problems, just three of many, that contributed to this.

1. Some people call it reverse racism.  I say, “what is the difference?”  95% of Black American voters according to exit and other polls voted for Barack Obama because he is perceived as black.  That people is racism.  This is just on example.  NOTE:  I do not refer to Black Americans as African Americans, I’ve found they don’t like it.  Being PC in most cases is for the feeble minded.

2. What about the people who vote straight tickets, regardless of who is running? I know a few People who do this, and that is an exercise stupidity.  Let me capitalize that STUPIDITY.  Rational people agree that voting a straight ticket shows the ignorance of a person, regardless of the party affiliation.  People who do this are a danger to our communities and our nation.  Any argument to the contrary is based upon nothing more than arrogance and a lack of education.

3. ACORN – We know of SOME of the fraud that has taken place in voter registration.  We caught stuff like Mickey Mouse.  But how much slipped through the cracks?  How many people voted twice? Or 3 Times under other identities?

This is just part of the list. But non-the-less, the people have spoken, as jaded and misled and they are.  Barack Obama will be the next President, and the Bible says that God has placed people in authority over us, AND, that he sometimes uses the wicked to carry out His will.  This time God is using the wickedness of Barack Obama to bring judgement upon a nation that has turned from God.

Am I bitter? Absolutely not! I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that HE is able keep that which I’ve committed unto HIM against that day. In today’s day and age, Christians have chosen to conceal their faith in this country for the most part.  But Jesus said, if you are ashamed to confess me before me, I will be ashamed to confess you before my Father.

Today is a sad day for the United States.  You can decorate it with winning slogans and celebrations, but it is still a sad day. It’s okay if you disagree with me on some of these points.  But on the essentials of Christianity, I stand firm, like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water.

I close with this, from Psalm chapter 1, in my own words: “Blessed is the person who does not take counsel from those who mock God,  and who does not do the work of the unbeliever, but HIS JOY comes from meditating on law of God day and night.”

So, like, are Baptists true Christians? How about those Lutherans! Methodists?

Vittorio, I know you're trying to be a smart ass, but I'll answer anyway.

It all depends on if they believe there is more than one way to God. Jesus said in John 14, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me".

A true Christian, does not and cannot believe that there are multiple paths to heave, i.e. Buddhism, Islam, Shinto, Unity.

You are pointing to denominations within Christianity, who have members that may or may not believe in the exclusivity of Jesus Christ as the ONLY way to God.

But those multiple path Baptists believe that they ARE true Christians. They read the same book.

No, I'm not trying to be a smart ass, I AM a smart ass. And I'm trying to understand how intolerant and disrespectful folks can say they're following in the footsteps of Jesus.

I don't follow you. I do not believe there is any other way to God. Jesus is the only way.

I had it put one way to me. You may claim to know God, but does God know YOU?

My answer, most who claim to know God, don't. They might think that they do. Then reality bites them in the butt, and they end up in hell because their "perception" and their "shared perception" has actully led others to hell, and God will holed them accountable.

Fine. That's what you believe and that's fine as long as you're comfortable with it. Others may not be, and that's their right as thinking Humans.

I'm trying to understand how intolerant and disrespectful folks can say they're following in the footsteps of Jesus by forcing their beliefs down the throats of others who are comfortable with their beliefs. Threats of eternal damnation fall on deaf ears.

It's all in what you believe the definition of a Christian is.

Many take on the name Christian. But like Mahatma Ghandi said "Jesus, I could follow". He chose another faith because of what he saw in Christianity.

Two denominations within Christianity are the worst offenders. The Southern Baptist Convention and The Assemblies of God. For the record, I am a member of a Southern Baptist Church, and was raised in and have close ties with the Assemblies of God. I am more critical of those two denominations than I am of all of Christianity.

I know one thing, if you say you are a Christian, and you hold the Bible to be the inspired word of God, then, you cannot be a Christian AND believe that their are other ways to God. It's in the book.

Please notice that my criticism here is of Christians, and not people of other faiths.

We are all entitled to our opinions (that's why we're here, right?) and to question the beliefs and actions of others. In doing that, I expect answers, as you have done. What saddens me is being told I will burn for eternity and getting inundated with quotes from the Bible, Talmud, Qu'ran etc. That shows a complete lack of respect for my right to make my own decisions.

Dear Readers,

VERY SIMPLE TEST! IF You believe The Bible to be The Word of GOD, and the Only Authority for the Born Again Believer... then YOU are A True Christian... Reguardless of Denomination!

(Ephesians 1:7-to-14) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace,
(Eph 1:8) which He caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding;
(Eph 1:9) having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,
(Eph 1:10) for an administration of the fullness of times, to head up all things in Christ, both the things in Heaven, and the things on earth, even in Him,
(Eph 1:11) in whom also we have been chosen to an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His own will,
(Eph 1:12) for us to be to the praise of His glory, who previously had trusted in Christ;
(Eph 1:13) in whom also you, hearing the Word of Truth, the gospel of our salvation, in whom also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
(Eph 1:14) who is the earnest of our inheritance, to the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Because GOD Said SO!

Thanks, Roger459

I prefer soft metal like silver and especially GOLD.

Good verses Roger, but John quoting Jesus makes it clear enough. NO ONE Comes to the Father but By Jesus Christ. Paul gives us more detail of that in Ephesians 1 for those who don't think John 14:6 is clear enough.

There is no other name by which man can be SAVED except Jesus Christ - Acts 4:12

Darryl,

I agree with the sentiment expressed in your article "Rainbow-colored coalition finessed Obama's victory". However, using the term "rainbow-colored" really is a poor choice of wording considering that in Florida, California, and Arizona, gay and lesbian citizens and taxpayers were slapped in the face and degraded to second class citizens by the anti-gay Amendment # 2 passage in Florida and Proposition 8 passage in California. The day after the election, while happy with the Presidential results, the realization that I am devalued as a human being and will not be afforded the same equal rights as other American human beings and taxpaying citizens weighed heavily.

It is reminiscent and equally as wrong as when slaves in America were counted as on 3/5 of a human being in elections. The Rainbow flag was torn, so I object to the use of this as a Rainbow victory, as discrimination and prejudice were cast in stone against the only unprotected minority group. It is shameful that other minority groups voted for this as if they had never experienced racism, discrimination, bigotry, hate crimes, etc.... There are no rainbow colored glasses until all minorities are equally protected under the law. It is with great hope and expections that Obama make sure his inclusion of gays and lesbians in his acceptance speech materializes in Civil Rights legislation protection.

I emailed Earl K. Wood disputing the taxes I am paying for schools for children

Sip, I think Woofy jumped on the wrong train.
I believe, without any hesitation,
BECAUSE JESUS SAID SO:
"I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to The Father except through me."
John 14:6
It's very simple, really. ALL of the answers to life's most perplexing questions, including
"How To Get To Heaven," can be found in The Bible, in between the pages of Genesis and Revelation.
B-Basic
I-Instructions
B-Before
L-Leaving
E-Earth
"You heard me say I am going away and I will come back to you..." John 15:28
It won't be long, either. The day is drawing near, and we'll ALL have some 'splainin' to do, right, Sip? LOL! I'm SSSOOOO glad "The East and The West" are in opposite directions!
