SIPEDO SEZ

When driving I try to keep a comfortable distance between myself and the car in front of me.  But it never fails, some bona-fide IDIOT has to cut in front of me, and of all things, drive slower, causing me to slam on my brakes and creating a hazard.

So I am looking for a parking spot in crowded parking lot, I see that someone is going to their car to leave.  They get in their car and I wait, and I wait, and I wait......Finally, what seems several days later, the car pulls out of the spot, and I am able to park there.  People are just as territorial as dogs are.

So I am at the gas station, waiting in line to get gas.  The guy/gal in front of me has pumped their gas, gotten in their car, and I wait, and I wait, and I wait....Finally, what seems to be several days later, they pull away from the pump so I can get some gas too.  Again, people are just as territorial as dogs are.

Sometimes I just want to yell at these people and say, "get the hell out of my way"

Does any of this sound familiar?  Or am I just impatient?

It sounds familiar.
I will tell you one thing I do and it may have happened to you.
When I come out of the mall or a large department store, you always see the parking lot vultures flying around waiting for the prime spots. When you come out they follow you while you are walking to your car. So I go down the isle adjacent to where I'm parked. When I get close I get my keys out and you can see the excitement in their eyes when my family and I stop at one of the closest spots. That all disappears when we go between the parked cars and get in our vehicle in the other isle and someone else gets the spot. Oh, the disappointment.
Yeah I'm a jerk sometimes. LOL

Great Idea! I'll do that!

How about waiting for the gas pump and someone pulls in from the opposite direction and grabs it. That's when I wish I were a dog. A viscous pit bull, eating their tires up.

How about all the lard asses that stake out the closest parking spots to park when they can walk the extra 20 yeards from empty spots. Maybe if they walked the extra 20-30 yards they might lose an ounce or two.

I get it but then I dont. If you were behind me in a gas station you bet I would take forever. I dont want wany distractions while I am driving. If there is loose change I will put it away and if there are gorceries I will take foreverto make sure they dont go flying. If I had kids I would take as much time that is neede to keep them safe and comfty.

The first thing I was taught when I learned to drive is that "everyone is stupid and you have to be the smart one" Precautions keeps others and I safe. I gladly slow down when the speed limit goes doen from 45 to 25 in my are because that is where cops are hiding and I know I can benifit myself, the drivers behind me and the pedestrians crossing the road.

Be a little more optomistic when driving. Its dangerous to drive mad.

Jangel, point made. But I can tell when someone like you has a legitimate reason to take their time. I'm talking about the guy/gal that just sits there combing their hair, talking on the cell phone and putting on makeup while you're waiting, and they know you're waiting. Time is precious in this fast paced world, time is money too.

Sipedo, I read it, and made a comment or two. I usually try and read all blogs which interest me. Sometimes no comment is written because it would be sarcastic or hurtful, so I keep quite. Or write them and delete them, just to get the remark out of my system. Can't let my thoughts cloud good judgement. Although I think it's funny.
Bruno-I resemble the remark about Lard-s's, but I actually will park as far away from the entrance as possible for those who are more handicapped than I am.
Jangel, if your gas is paid for pull up for the next person to get their gas. Straighten your stuff out in a parking space. You only have to move a car length to be out of the way.

If I see a person "vulturing" in a parking lot, more often than not, I will put the stuff in my car, rummage through it and make it appear like I forgot something and LOCK my vehicle back up and go back inside the Mall or Store (if I'm parked in a "prime spot"). However, most often I park AWAY from the prime spots since this is where most damages happen to your car from IDIOTS pushing and LEAVING shopping carts next to and RIGHT INTO your car.

So I try NOT to use prime spots.

As for gas, BE PATIENT. Some folks keep a running tab in an notebook of their mileage and how much gas (Co$t and Gallons) and may be writing that info down as well as resetting their trip odometer for the next time they "fill it up." So learn some patience there. Also sometimes, even though they may be finished, they may need to return to the store (if they pre-paid) to get their change from the pump.

I learned the hard way on this, NEVER and I MEAN NEVER PRE-PAY, then move your car to the parking area to retrieve your change. Some a**hole may just pull up and start pumping GAS ON YOUR CHANGE DUE! I got burned for $20 this way and not a damn thing I could do about it.

So I WILL NOT LEAVE the PUMP until after I go back in the store and get my change from a pre-pay sale!

When you hang up the pump it shuts off, and has to be reset. How could someone use your change? You got robbed! I bet you didn't even get a kiss. And moving up one car length to reset your mileage or do your paper work. You know it gets hot here. I have patients and I guess I'm just a little more courteous towards others, because I don't block the lanes.
