Now that more holidays are coming-it may be time to reflect.I changed my Will a few weeks ago. When my (four) parents died, the only items I got back were four funeral bills, and airfares all over the USA. My new Will leaves 40% to my daughter, 30% to my Executor, and 30% to the Foster Children's Care of St. Louis, Mo. Advertising pays well-I learned that in years of retail selling and from seeing the orphan kids on TV every day wanting a family and a home. My raising kids days are over, but I feel these kids are homeless through absolutely no fault of their own. I feel good about this decision to change my Will.

My neighbor lady, an African-American, told me that charity did 'NOT' begin at home. She sends aid to Africa. I hope her aid she is sending does not get into the hands of hooligans, terrorists and rebels who have devoured Africa. I feel our children here at home need help too.

For the new year perhaps check out your WILL and see it in your heart to help these orphans get the love and home and family they deserve. When I was little we had no money-we were dirt poor white folks-but we had family!

...from a white Vietnam veteran-my Executor of my Will is a fine black gentleman-and a true friend. Remember-charity 'DOES' begin at home!

Retired, divorced white male-Former German and Russian and English teacher, Vietnam veteran, writer, painter, musician, computer savvy, photographer, hard worker. Dare I say more? I just finished a 29 chapter novel entitled "So Help Me God"-about crooked lawyers. I just got it copyrighted and sent to a tv producer-It is now published and doing well. I have a website at www.gregorypikenovels.com
and you can see about it there and buy any of my four novels. Email me at kingfish63042@yahoo.com. I enjoy traveling-especially to Berlin-and read a lot and love movie going...and cooking. My daughter in Portland works in an Alzheimer's clinic and plays in a jazz band. My retirement finally got off the ground-I worked three years part-time and finally quit. My pet peeve in life is laziness and filth, as I've worked 50 years and NEVER have been late. I now have four books published. And the truck in the background? It was a trusted friend for 10 years. Now a repairman is driving it.p.s. Check out my other three new novels on my website above.
