Thanks to Steve Noviello for the DTV information today.  I was anticipating purchasing an analog/digital CRT TV (small screen) for my kitchen,  and was under the impression I needed to purchase a digital/HD antenna for optimum reception on the set.  Now I know a regular VHF/UHF antenna will work, and can save some money.

Flat panel TVs are not made in the smaller sizes (below 19 inch ) yet so  this was the best approach for me.  I didn't want to pay extra to have cable on a kitchen TV which will be used occasionally as I already pay for it on my large HD flat panel TV.

I didn't even know they made digital CRT TVs until I researched it on the internet.  This is a good way to go for RVs, kitchens, spare bedrooms, kids rooms, etc..  It's much cheaper than purchasing a larger flat panel TV if cost is a factor in your decision, and you don't need all the bells and whistles.
