Weather
Wow, what a tease the weather was the past couple days! I can hardly wait for it to be that way on a daily basis! The kids had a blast outside! My daughter decided to teach herself to ride her bike. She did it in 2 days! Of course she's 10! We've been begging her to learn since she was old enough but she hasn't wanted to. So finally she decided to and wham, she can ride! I took Stevie outside for the first time. Well, not the first time outside but the first time playing outside. (she's just 1 yr. old) She LOVED it! We were out for a good couple hours, pushing her around the block in her step 2 car and sissy tried to teach her how to use sidewalk chalk but she prefers to eat it instead of draw w/it! LOL!
As you know, I've gone back to work at the school 3 days a week and I'm really enjoying it. The kids have been great and the weather nice....well till today. It was a bit chilly on the playground today. But we survived.

Today my babies first birthday. Where does the time go? My grandmother use to tell me that the older you get the faster time goes. I just laughed. Of course I was only like 18 at the time. I have to tell you, granmda was right! My Stevie has made so many milestones in the last year. She's my 3rd child. I also have an 11 yr. old boy and a 10 year old girl. Stevie was kind of an oops! But a total blessing in disguise! I just love this age, watching them grow and learn, but it just goes too darn fast! She's walking now, well, 80% of the time and the words she knows how to say are mama, dada, cack, cack (quack quack) and ickle, ickle, icke. (tickle, tickle, tickle). Her first word was the cack cack one! Go figure! LOL! We are having a big party for her and my hubby Sunday. Should be alot of fun. We have around 40-50 people coming. So we will be busy, busy, busy the next couple days preparing.

Well, I've made the decision to go back to work. Not like some of you moms but part time. Actually, even less than part time. I was working at my daughters school as a lunch monitor for 2 years. Acutally, 3 years one year was just subing. After I had Stevie I was off for 6 months. School started back up in September and I went back. At that time my husband was suppose to be working from home. He started just taking care of the baby and doing housework (which was nice) but he stopped doing his job. He still gets paid because he gets a residual check from what he does. But i was extremely jealous that I had to leave the house and be away from my baby while he did what I felt I should be doing. So we discussed it and I dropped to a sub again. Well, he started going to an office and doing his job for a few months but now he's back home. He's promising he's going to continue to do his job from here. We'll see! So anyhow, I don't think it's healthy to be together 24/7 so I decided to go back just 3 days a week. I only work for 2 1/2 hours and if he does what he says I'll be happy. I have to admit, it is nice to feel you have some other importance in life other than a mom and wife. I love the kids at the school and they seem to love me, I get lots of hugs when I go in. It's so nice! I use to be a secretary before kids but this job works out great, I'm off when the kids are off and I get the whole summer off! Can't beat that! So starting next week, back to work I go.

Oh boy, I keep forgetting to post here. I'm really going to have to try to keep this blog up! Maybe this will be a once a week blog. Maybe more. LOL!
The big news is I'm going back to work part time. I'm was working as a lunch monitor at my kids school and then after having Stevie decided I wanted to sub instead. Well, I miss it! I really do like the kids and as much as I love being a sahm it does give you some self worth to work outside the home. I'm very lucky with this job because it's only 2 1/2 hours a day. I get all the holidays off w/the kids and the summers. Can't beat that! so they have asked me to come back 3 days a week instead of 5 which will be great! My hubby works from home most of the time so he will be able to watch Stevie while I work. Plus I'll be with my daughter Taylors class and that make her VERY happy!
The kids were off for Presidents day yesterday so we had my niece and nephew sleep over. It worked out really nicely. All the kids behaved!
Now, back to the ole grind today.

Gee, I guess I missed posting yesterday! I was busy shopping and it just slipped my mind. This blog is so new and I do go to a couple other forums I'm going to have to remember to come here.
Absolutely nothing exciting has been happening. I haven't been feeling well, I think I have a cold. I've been taking lots of medicine and herbal suppliement to kill it before it gets too bad and I think I'm doing a good job a keeping it at bay.
Stevie seems much better. She's had a double ear infection and a cold. Her nose was soooo...runny! Poor thing, everytime we even try to wipe her mouth after eating she flinches cause she thinks we're going to wipe her nose. lol! Today is the first day we haven't had to wipe it. Thank goodness! I probly caught my cold from taking care of her. I guess tha comes w/being a mom.
Trent had a basketball game today. He plays for the Solon rec and my husband coaches. They lost. Hubby wasn't too happy but oh well, you win some, you lose some right?! Such a girl thing to say! Their record is 4-3 so it's not too bad.
That's about it. My life is sometimes boring, but that's the way I like it! : )

WEll, Stevie continues to get up once a night. Her cold seems to be getting better she's still a little congested and is coughing a little more at night but not much. She's been on her antibiotics for almost a week now so I know her ears have got to be better. She's not sticking her finger in her ear anymore and is a a happy baby durning the day. I sure hope she starts sleeping through the night again soon! Mommy's getting tired!
As you know, I like to exercise. It's been a part of my daily life for 20 years now. The only time during the 20 years that I didn't workout were when we were on vacation. I don't like to workout on vacation, heck, it's VACATION right?! I workout all year long. Vacation is my down time. And at the end of the birth of my last child I stopped working out. I currently am trying to lose about 40 pounds. I had put on some weight before I got pg w/Stevie. I've always had to watch my weight but after my brother Steven passed away from meningitis in 2001 I began toput on some weight. Then I got pregnant w/Stevie and put on more so now I struggle to lose it. So today I will had up to our rec center to work out.
Tonite I have to go to a middle school meeting for my son. I can't believe he'll be in the 7th grade already! I can remember when I was in the 7th grade! Where does the time go? I really don't like going to these things but I'm going w/a neighbor/friend of mine so it shouldn't be so bad.
Have a good day everyone!

Bad start to they day! First off, Stevie has been getting up once a night for the past 5 nights due to a double ear infection and cold. The only way I can get her to go back to sleep is to bring her down stairs and lay w/her on the couch. So as I'm coming down our steps this morning, I reach the bottom and what do I step in..... DOG POO! UGH! It was the grossest thing ever! My husband Jim was kind enough to come help me out after he heard me yell! He held Stevie while I cleaned and disinfected my foot and cleaned up the poop. DISGUSTING! So anyhow, now that there was excitment in the house Stevie was awake and wanted to play. I laid on the couch w/her and told her no, it wasn't time to play. After she laid nicely and clapped her hands and fooled around a bit she went back to sleep. We went back upstairs to put her down about 2:45 where she slept till this 5:15 this morning.
Ok, I hope I gave you all a good laugh for the day!

Goodmorning! It's almost 6am as I sit here and start my new blog. I saw Tracy had a baby blog and I wanted to post to her and saw I could start my own so here I am.
I also have a baby, her name is Stevie Nicole and she's 11 months old. Boy how time flies! It seems as tho we were just finding out that we were pregnant at the age of 39 and here she is almost 1! She has a big sister named Taylor and a big brother Trent. They are wonderful! Taylor especially is such a big help! I often wonder how I did it by myself (Jim traveled alot) when they were small and only being 18 months apart! Stevie is by far the most active of my 3 children. Or maybe it's just that it's been so long I don't remember? LOL! Anyhow, she's been quite a blessing and is loved by all of the family!
Being a sahm I don't have a whole lot of exciting things to write about. I like to exercise and shop. I try to participate at the schools. You'll find I write alot about Stevie because she's is my JOB right now. Yes, the other 2 are too but since she's a baby she's the main part of my day. So I'll try to keep my blog as interesting as I can.
