scottythecomic's whimsical rantings

After months of pre-production "The Platinum Peacemaker" cast and crew is set to descend on Glen Rose, Texas to make an action-filled romp of a movie.  Principal photography is scheduled to begin on Friday, November 21st.  With a cast of 100 it is sure to be a chaotic (explosions and bullets) but fun shoot.

The short film (less than an hour) is a family, comedy-western set in 1877. With all the unfriendly movies 'out there' I set about to write and produce this  G-rated script, with the hopes of making  true family entertainment.  Interest from a local affiliate has already been expressed. The film will also be making the domestic and international film circuit.

For those of you who like westerns, movies or just good family entertainment, here is a sneak peek at the secure location.

Wow. Although some snags arose during the shoot, we shot about 80% of the movie. Due to actor scheduling, we'll return in January to finish up principal photography.

In the next day or two I will put up some short video outtakes.

We'll screen it here in Dallas then it'll hit the festival circuit both domestically and internationally.

Right now I am set to begin working on a new secreenplay, a western horror.

Did you see the teo clips I put on another blog this morning?

Native Californian transplanted to Texas in 1989, and I love the Metroplex! I'm a veteran paratrooper/infantryman and very conservative minded. I have no qualms about confronting policies that are detrimental to the United States of America regardless of any political persuasion. I support a strong military, tough, no-nosense politics, truth, justice and yes, even apple pie. I am against the Oprah-ization of this country, liberal politics and seditionists at every level. I'm a firm believer in the idea that the coddling mentality has backfired and served to ruin the backbone of America. There's nothing a good ass-kicking or some firm policies won't fix. I love sports, most notably NASCAR, the NHL, the NFL and MLB. I am a season ticket holder for the Dallas Stars and out at Texas Motor Speedway. Win or lose, I stick to my teams: Dallas Stars, Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers, Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians and the San Diego Padres.
