Look. As far as I can gather from the speech, BHK got it wrong. It was not specifically a complaint about race. It was a complaint that the people near and dear to BHK are 'hate USA';his pastor, his wife, his biological father, his stepfather, his wahhabbee maddrassa, etc. Look them up and see. I may be wrong or getting this as a biased view.
Also I may be falling into the trap of looking at a person because of his associations.

His comments about "change" and race are entirely racial!

After hearing Barack Obamas speech this morning, I no longer have any respect for this man. he is such a "Racist". He said that society still treats blacks as they were treated back in the 1950s era before their civil rights and they do not have the same opportunities of the white man. That is total BLEEP!!! Black, White, Asian, Hispanic etc. Everyone is given a choice on what they do with their lives. Race has nothing to do with your future. If you work and fight for something, you can accomplish it.

This political campaign has turned into a "Race Campaign". Blacks are voting for Brack Obama just for the fact that he is black. Look at the Mississippi primary last week, several blacks even admitted that statment. I have also heard comments from black americans stating "It is about time, we get a Nigg#r as President". That is horrible. Our country is not in the best of shape and needs a president who is going to help secure our future.

This country has no place for a "racist" like Barack Obama. He needs to step down from the Presidential Race.

After reading Barack’s speech I don’t see any racism in the way he responded. People hear what they want to hear and the media distorts things. If your a negative individual you will find negativity in anything he says the fact that people are trying to hold Obama accountable for what his pastor said is absolutely ridiculous and shows their ignorance. Reverend Wright is a individual man that has his own opinion of what he feels and most intelligent adults can agree to disagree, this is a man who spoke his mind, and now the idiots in America wants to condemn Obama and call him a racist after they elected a lying President in office for two terms of lies, deceitfulness he sent our men and women to a war they he claimed was because of “911” then he claimed “weapons of mass destruction” Not . The one who cause 911 is still free and the country that has weapons of mass destruction still have them!!!

Taz2008 if you think all races are treated equal then you need to take off those Rose Colored Glasses. There is racism everywhere.

The American people need to stop worrying about the negative stones being thrown by people who are not even running for President and listen to the message of the Presidential Candidates and what they’re promising us and our children, will we have jobs, health care, homes, financial growth, education, because your current President screwed this economy up!!!!!

Obama's speech seemed very real and thoughtful to me. Any candidate's race is part of of his or her identity and individual perspective. Obama admitted he heard and disagreed with his Pastor's more radical opinions. I think the main point is that Obama himself is trying to lead the people of this country beyond our racial divide. I admire Obama's frank words and willingness to discuss a topic that is difficult in our country. As I white person, I do not feel Obama is racist or divisive, infact, he strikes me as just the opposite.

What has not been spoken about enough after his speech is that he now admits to having heard his Pastor's condemnation of America and saying and doing nothing. Just days ago he said he never heard his Pastor present these views and if he had he would have spoken up. This shows he is just like every other politician, he is just a smooth talker. How can people still believe what he says any more than they can believe any other politician.
