McCain is seriously looking at Romney being his VP.  His second choice is John Thune of South Dakota; just incase he can't stomach Romney.  I like his second choice better then his first choice.

Romney is the most capable actually but I dont like the Mormon thing ( false teachers). But I wanted Romney over McCain all along. See my posts on http://IfIwerePresidentofUSA.blogspot.com

you might have to scroll a bit to see the time of the primarys.

But NO WAY Thune... he looks like a nerd and South Dakota will go McCain anyway. He needs Romney (helping in Michigan) , someone Ohio, or Crist for Florida.

But regardless, even with the liberal media talking up the Obama camp (like Air America and MSNBC, NY TIMES, NEWSWEEK) it wont help.

Obama will not win.

When people get into politics the first thing that happens is they are beaten with an ugly stick. None of them are good looking. I prefer not to see a picture. So, I agree that Thune is no beauty pageant winner, neither are the rest of 'em. I just like where he stands on issues better then Romney. I'm kinda shackled into voting for McCain regardless. The alternative is just so much worse.

I voted for Romney myself, but he isn't my first choice for VP. I like the woman from Alaska! She cleaned out the corruption in that state, and a mother with 5 children, who knowing her last child was with down syndrome, refused to abort and loves that child like all others! She would bring an end to Nancy Pelosi's self appointed throne, and would secure the woman's vote and even empower the Obama hating Hillary supporters!

McCain needs to get his head out of Alaska's ANWOR issue, and look closer through all the aspects of her!

McCain playing Romney… is that like a table game, if I may speak so plain
A match made in hell as republicans seek to ease their pain
Not since the Great Depression has numbers been so low
And now the die-hards are like pigeons on a bread trail casting their votes

McCain, Romney sounds good to the ear
Yet do you role over in their pig’s sty for four more years
Bush, McCain, Romney, what’s the difference
We all will pay for their repentance

So go ahead and throw your penny in a dry well
If McCain wins, we are guaranteed for more years of hell
Thus, one should rejoice with the fresh air of Summer
And then in the fall, cast your vote for Obama

I too voted for Romney in the primaries. He wasn't my favorite then, nor is he now. I like Sarah Palin, too. She would be great. Of the ones that seem to be on McCain's short list Thune is my favorite, followed by Jindal.

I voted for Thompson in the primaries, Romney would have been my second choice. I was talking with a project manager today about this. He liked Romney on the economic issues, but was reluctant due to his religion. I like Romney for his economic awareness, national defense beliefs and he wants corruption off of the Hill. For those dissatisfied with their Democratic choice, Romney as VP may make crossing a line a bit easier. I've got to believe that weighes on McCain's thoughts as well. Great post rexsmom ! Still wish we had Thompson for a choice. :(
