I just heard on the news that some school (didn't get the name) has decided, in there infinite wisdom, that there will be NO TOUCHING AT ALL while you are on school grounds.

Is there a nation wide contest  to come up with the most ridiculous school restrictions possible?  Since the school shooting started it seems that school administrators are trying to out do each other with, "Who can come up with the toughest school rules".

The school shootings were very tragic, but it is impossible to completely secure a public building, it is possible to stop the flow of weapons with the use of metal detectors, since the schools so under funded I don't think that will ever happen.

If these administrators have convinced themselves that if they do nothing they look bad, if they continue to come up with these ridiculous rules they are just going to continue to look, STUPID!!!

Yes; the contest to see if we can elect the largest collection of morons to run a school system has already been won. Now the race is to find out who can make the most stupid rules.

Next step is you cant look at each other. Then you cant learn while in school.

How stupid can our government and schools get? I thought they were supposed to be the smart ones?

All the weirdness is a result of the minority opinion of leftist judges, and there's a lot of it over the last several decades. That's why the unprecedented blocking of federal judges should be the first issue on everyone's mind (the second being reliable and cheap energy). Last I counted over 40 Judges have been voted down, and several never made it out of committee; I stopped counting last year.

Only 2 (or 3)other times has this ever happened and the only one in recent history was the Left's campaign against Bork in the first Bush's tenure.
You wonder why schools freak out when someone wears a Jesus T-shirt, or want kids arrested for sexual assault, it's not their fearful, berueacratic self-preservation (well yes, it is, but)...it's the Political Correctness of the left, the leftist judges, and the well financed campaign of misinformation from the ACLU to school boards.

Normal folks just don't have the time for all the screaming and protesting, and litigation that the left loves.

your 100% correct. the squeeky wheel gets the grease. us the 90% normal people dont have the time to fight the system. maybe its our fault for letting it get this far. political correctness is putting this country down the drain. now kids cant even be kids anymore. we all had crushes and boy or girl friends growing up that all part of growing up. the worst part of all this is the kids have no idea how many freedoms have been lost over the last 40 years. i could not imagine having to be locked in the school and not being able to leave when i wanted to or police in my school, suprise searches of my locker, we all had pocket knifes not to hurt someone but if you wanted to carve your name in a tree. here in flagler county if your kid gets in a fight you get up to a 400 fine. when we were kids they let you fight it out and then you became best friends thats all part of growing up. i hope someday the 90% would get together never know unless we try
