Driving home on Halloween, slowly inching my way down the road past little kids trick-or-treating and I turn on the mix:

"THIS NIGHTTTT . . . WE PRAY . . . OUR LIVES . . . WILL SHOW . . . THIS DREAM . . . WE HAVE . . ."

In mild shock I switched to another station. Maybe it was a prank. A few minutes later I turned back.

"J-I-N-G-L-E Bells."

Whoa. This is nuts. Christmas is coming earlier and earlier every year. I'm Catholic and I think it's nuts. I can't imagine how non-Christians feel about a favorited radio station switching to Christmas music two months in advance!

I just won't listen to them, Pinks.
It's that easy.
They can play it all they want, but they lose me as a listener.
Good to see you back, Pinks!

And when Christmas actually DOES come, I'm so Christmassed-out from listening to that stupid music for two months, I just want to get it over with.
Start it the day after Thanksgiving!
And yes, I don't listen to the stations that play it early either.

I read a e-mail from Katbird last week saying she already heard the music and and my way home Friday I heard the same thing. I changed the station real fast. I love christmas music in December. I turn it on my office radio the day after saint nick and not before. I will listen to a cd before I listen to christmas music on Halloween night.

I know that K-love played a couple of new songs that are out this year, but I did hear Christmas music on another radio station. How funny that people complain about Christian holidays, but they are usually the first to start marketing them. Oh well. The Christmas trees and decorations have been up in some stores for weeks now.

Despite the fact that Christmas is over commercialized (SP?) and considered the most depressing season of the year; Christmas songs kinda make people "feel" something good inside.
OK! It's WAY to early but they are here and I don't want to hear fighting about something else like the damn political blogs.
Like Fox6Fan says in the video, "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas, this year!"
Now "The Snowhawk" said it!

I won't listen to it until after Thanksgiving. Halloween decorations come down in stores and Christmas decorations go up. What happened to Thanksgiving???

Belle, the Christmas decorations have been up right alongside the Halloween decorations. It is rediculous

Hard to listen when it's 70 degrees outside. I'll wait to tune in until it gets closer so I'm not all Christmas-ed out!

It is absolutely ridiculous, there are actually 2!!!! radion stations in Milwaukee that are playing nothing but Christmas Music right now, and as far as I know they started Saturday morning. I can listen to different station, but I tell you what, I feel sorry for the DJ's that work there.

I don't listen to them; the problem is, 99.1 is my favorite station. Now I'm trying to find a new favorite. 94.5 is jockeying for my top spot.

My mom feels the same way, southernbelle . . . she thinks Thanksgiving gets glossed over and makes sure to make Turkey Day just as special as it would normally be, without the holiday music.

There are a lot of problems in the world, and if I'm the one to change them . . . I've got God on my side and I'm up to the challenge!
