Now do you see how ridiculous this is?    Obama's tax plan is BETTER than McCain's continuation of "trickle down" economics.

All I know is I make about $65K a year, and I got a tax cut under the Bush tax cuts. Obama was against those tax cuts. And Obama has always been for higher taxes. Why would anyone think that he would change and give tax cuts? Anybody that thinks overtaxing the top 5% of wage earners, is going to be able to give the lower 95% a cut is simply living in la la land.

If PB was a tax payer, he would have something in this election. As I see it, he is a MORON that is a cause for the Bust we are in, WELFARE FOLKS!!

Consider this information from the IRS, that 86% of all federal income taxes are paid by the top 25% of income earners.

The top 50% pay 97% of all income taxes
The top 1% pays 39% of all income taxes.

I also benefited from the Bush tax cuts, and Obama will eliminate those and make me pay more. Seems like more of us middle income people will pay MORE under Obama. But the truth doesn’t matter to may voters.

Funny thing is, if this were true where Obama only taxes those with an income of "X" amount or higher, most of those people are business owners. Of course, they'll pass the extra cost down to the consumers and in the end, the middle class will pay one way or the other. But, PB still lives off of mommy & daddy, doesn't work nor pay taxes, so how can he possibly realize the way it is in real life? He cannot. He's just a follower and most likely someone from his generation who feels he will just live off the government all his life and not have to work for what he has.

Sadly, that is what this society today is leaning toward. If they don't have a mommy & daddy to support them, they lean on Uncle Sam and truly do not know how to work for a living.

Also consider this:

The top 1% has more wealth than the bottom 50%. What is wrong with that picture? The middle class is vaporizing and a select few are getting filthy rich and the rest are slipping deeper into poverty.

Next time know what you are talking about before you speak. You do not know me and you have no right to judge me. Why do you think I'm busting my ass in school right now? So I can make the money and help others, rather than needing to be helped. I don't respond kindly to people who talk down to me, you insensitive BLEEP. That's the problem with this nation today, everyone acts like we're inferior and incapable of doing anything. Your Republican government is high on the power of controlling everything. Yet we are going to be a major deciding factor this November. Like it or not, change is coming. The future is coming, and it's coming in Barack Obama.

Hey, even though I'm part of that generation that you are COMPLETELY ragging on right now... I totally agree with you, clevebtch. It is about free money. But I'd like to say that it is not only my generation looking for free money. It's every generation. I mean, look at our politicians for heavens sake.

I'd also like to add that I'm an outstanding member of that generation who is neither leaning on Mom & Dad or Uncle Sam.

And one last thing to add: with Obama's policy to tax those above $250,000, prices will go up on everything. Every kind of business making over $250,000 will have to raise prices, cut jobs, and stop handing out raises. So even if we ever see a tax cut from Obama (which we won't because he intends on spending too much), it might just cover the higher prices we all will be paying.

Okay, PB, who is paying for your education? Mom? Dad? The government? Do you work while you're going to school? Do you know what it's like to pay taxes? Maybe I am an insensitive BLEEP, but when you go through life working hard and always having to give to others who won't work as hard, you become that way. I'm tired of having to give hand-outs from my paycheck to people who do nothing to fend for themselves.

I also don't respond too lightly to wet behind the ear kiddies like you who think you know it all. Hon, you don't know it all until you've actually LIVED it all.

Robin Hood did not take from the rich's bank account and give it to the poor. He took the poor peoples' money back from the rich because the rich stole it.

The rich people aren't stealing poor peoples' money (well, for the most part). They are not coming to your house and taking money or cars or tuition payments.

I work full time PB and go to school.. does that mean I deserve a break? No. It does not. It means: I work full time (that means 40 hours a week, what your parents work). I pay taxes. I pay bills. I pay for my tuition loans. I pay for my car loans. I raise a kid. I pay for daycare. I pay for the unexpected things like my weindsheild cracking. I budget so I can take trips to Virginia and see my marine. You really can't comment on what it's like if the only taxes you pay is the tax on your large drink at taco bell.

Katie, for a young thing, you sure know life as it really is. I like your thinking, girl! I especially respect you for working to give you and your child a real life. Not living off of anyone to get the freebies and skate along. I only hope that my daughter will take the same values that I've tried to instill in her and be as honorable a person as you.

You rock, girl! Consider that a compliment because, as PB says, I'm a selfish BLEEP. Hence the screen name (LOL).

You don't need to see too close to know that Obama's plan won't work. By redistributing the wealth, people will stop working and sit to wait for their free money. Soon there will be no money to redistribute because not enough people are working. The country starves and strangles. People get used to not working and getting things for free. People settle for crubms. On the mean time Obama has the wealth and guess what will surely come next? Dictatorship. It is what happened in Venezuela.

It takes resources and money to redistribute anything. Maybe Obama should just set a fixed rate as a salary for everyone, from Doctors to Ganitors. That way there is a lot of money and time spared on redistribution of the money and nobody may just sit and settle to wait for their free money.

Obama should make up his mind. ON some campaigns he refers himself as African American, on others he refers himself as Half white and half arab. What is he??? Is he going to run the country like that? One day he is democrat, another day he is socialist. Sounds like Hugo Chavez, Venezuelan dictator. During his now 10 year presidensy, he has run all the repertoir of political trends.

For those of you who are voting for Obama because of his color, look at your decision hard. Color doesn't determine a good presidency. HIs conviction do. Yes, it represents a change to you, but change is not determined by the color of somebody's skin. You will be voting for an ideal change. You think tht because he is colored and comes from poverty he is the perfect candidate and you are forgeting to listen to him. Somebody who comes from poverty can come with best intentions, but is very easy prey of greed once he/she finds himself/herself in a powerful position. When reality kicks in and he turns out to be far from what you'd expect, you will end up hating people of his color. Does that make sense?

Taxers should be left alone. NO INCREASE. NO DECREASE. Everyone should pay taxes. No exceptions. We wouldn't need such high salaries if everyone paid taxes, therefore big bussinesses shouldn't be afected by this.

I like that last comment. I mean as other countries like Iraq raise their prices for us, of course prices should go up, which in the end would mean higher taxes. But taxes should go up for everyone, not just the rich, or not just working class people.
People aren't paying their taxes. People aren't paying loans. People aren't paying for their homes. Prices are going up because money keeps being handed out... What do we need MORE handouts for?
