Well I asked about the actors so I cannot leave out the leading ladies! Who are your favorites? Are you the Angilina type? what about Keria Knightly or Nichole Kidmen? The list is endless! Do you look to Julia Roberts?

When it comes to the women, I like to see Diane Kroger, Nicole Kidmen, Elizabeth Banks, and as of late I've really started to like Anna Faris. She is very funny.

Are you the Nicholas Cage type of person? Do you like the hunt for treasure and a drama situation? Are you the Ben Stiller type? Loves to laugh in a dry comedy? What about George Cloony's type of person? Slick, shinny, everything goes your way and then one thing doesn't, but its cool cause you can make a plan work. Who are your favorite actors?

I'm a big fan of Nichols Cage. Almost every movie he does is good, besides Next, which sucked. I love the work that Steve Carell does in his movies, Get Smart was hilarious as was 40-year-old Virgin and Evan Almighty. And I also like William H. Macy. Wild Hogs, The COoler, Sahara...Just the list can keep going on with him. He isn't the most popular actor, but he does a good job in his rolls. I also like Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, and when it comes to comedy, I am really begining to like Justin Long and Seth Rogan. Justin Long you might know from "Live Free or Die Hard" but he is very funny. Seth Rogan you will know from "Knocked up" and "40-year-old Virgin"

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Tommy Lee Jones is suing the makers of "No Country for Old Men" for more than $10 million that the Oscar-winning actor claims he is owed for starring in the 2007 hit crime thriller.

The lawsuit against Paramount Pictures claims that Jones was promised "significant box-office bonuses" and other compensation depending on the success of the film, which went on to make more than $160 million.

The movie, which is set in Texas and based on a critically acclaimed Cormac McCarthy novel, garnered four Academy Awards, including "Best Picture."

A message left for Paramount Pictures on Saturday was not immediately returned. Jones declined to comment through his publicist, Jennifer Allen, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

"The paperwork stands for itself," Allen said.

The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Bexar County in San Antonio. N.M. Classics, Inc., a Paramount subsidiary, is also named in the lawsuit.

Jones, who played Sheriff Ed Tom Bell in the film, claims he was not paid promised bonuses and had expenses wrongly deducted. The suit says Jones was paid a reduced upfront fee in joining the film, and that his contract had known errors not corrected before the movie was made.

Jones, 61, is asking that an auditor be named to review financial records to determine how much he should be paid.

Did you see the movie? I did and it was very good. Do you think that Tommy Lee Jones will get his payment? What did you think of Tommy Lee Jones before this and what do you think of him now? I doubt anyone will say it hurt their views of him.

I was wondering... Who is it you look up to? I look up to my father, all of the men and women fighting over seas, and the occasional political figure, but there was always that one person who I wanted to be or who I thought was the coolest person in the world.  Mine was Richard Petty as a kid. He was cool. He was the king... He was the nicest person to any fan. Have you seen his signature? Its more loops then a Six Flags ride!

Then, as I grew older, I looked into my history books. I begain to read a lot about former president, FDR. How he helped this country though a bad war, though bad times, and delt with his own demons. He very well might be one of the best presidents this nation will ever see.

I also was reading about Local history. I found a tie with NASCAR of course and it was in Fireball Roberts. He was one of the greats in the early days of the sport. Grew up in Zellwood and then in Daytona. He was a great man for the city of Daytona as well. Took good care of his family and did a heck of a job on the race track. he raced 305 races and finished in the top five 45% of the time!

This time last year though, I found a new hero. A local fireman ran into a burning house and rescued two people after a small plane crashed into them. Ryan Cooper is a local hero. He is now going to help Kyle Petty, son of Richard Petty, run the new Victory Junction for Kids in Kansas City. Victory Junction is a camp for children with challenges. It is free for the children and most of the staff is there just to help, no pay! Ryan Cooper and Kyle Petty are American Heros. It brings a tear to my eye knowing the good these men are doing. They are my heros.

Who are your heros? Why?

LOS ANGELES - Academy Award-winning director Sydney Pollack, a Hollywood mainstay who achieved commercial success and critical acclaim with the gender-bending comedy "Tootsie" and the period drama "Out of Africa," has died. He was 73.

Pollack died of cancer Monday afternoon at his home in Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, surrounded by family, said publicist Leslee Dart. Pollack had been diagnosed with cancer about nine months ago, said Dart.

Pollack, who occasionally appeared on the screen himself, worked with and gained the respect of Hollywood's best actors in a long career that reached prominence in the 1970s and 1980s.

"Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better. A tip of the hat to a class act," George Clooney said in a statement from his publicist.

"He'll be missed terribly," Clooney said.

Last fall, he played Marty Bach opposite Clooney in "Michael Clayton," a drama that examines a law firm's fixer. The film, which Pollack co-produced, received seven Oscar nominations, including for best picture and a best actor nod for Clooney. Tilda Swinton won the Oscar for supporting actress.

Pollack was no stranger to the Academy Awards. In 1986, "Out of Africa" a romantic epic of a woman's passion set against the landscape of colonial Kenya, captured seven Oscars, including best director.

In accepting his Oscar, Pollack commended Meryl Streep, who was nominated for best actress but didn't win.

"I could not have made this movie without Meryl Streep," Pollack said. "She is astounding — personally, professionally, all ways."

Over the years, several of his other films, including "Tootsie" and "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" got several nominations, including best director nods.

Pollack's movies frequently had some of Hollywood's top actors: "Absence of Malice" with Sally Field and Paul Newman, "The Yakuza" with Robert Mitchum, "Three Days of the Condor" with Robert Redford, and "The Firm" with Tom Cruise, among others.

"Having the opportunity to know Sydney and work with him was a great gift in my life," Field said in a statement. "He was a good friend and a phenomenal director and I will cherish every moment that I ever spent with him."

In later years, he devoted increasing time to acting, appearing in Woody Allen's "Husbands and Wives," Robert Altman's "The Player," Robert Zemeckis' "Death Becomes Her," Stanley Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut."

Pollack's recent producing credits include "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "Cold Mountain." His last screen appearance was in "Made of Honor," a romantic comedy currently in theaters, where he played the oft-married father of star Patrick Dempsey's character.

In recent years, Pollack also produced many independent films with filmmaker Anthony Minghella and a production company Mirage Enterprises.

The Lafayette, Ind. native was born to first-generation Russian-Americans. In high school, he fell in love with theater, a passion that prompted him forego college and move to New York and enroll in the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater.

Studying under Sanford Meisner, Pollack spent several years cutting his teeth in various areas of theater, eventually becoming Meisner's assistant.

"We started together in New York and he always excelled at everything he set out to do, his friendships and his humanity as much as his talents," said Martin Landau, a longtime close friend and associate in Actor's Studio, through spokesman Dick Guttman.

After appearing in a handful of Broadway productions in the 1950s, Pollack turned his eye to directing — where he would ultimately leave his biggest mark. He helmed "The Way We Were" (1973), "Jeremiah Johnson" (1972), "Havana" (1990) and "The Interpreter" (2005).

"Sydney let the dialogue and the emotion of a scene speak for itself. Not given to cinematic tricks, his gentle and thoughtful touch and his focus on the story let us inhabit the world he created in each film," said Michael Apted, president of the Directors Guild of America.

But Pollack, who stood over six feet tall and had a striking presence on the screen, never totally gave up acting.

At the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival, Pollack said "Tootsie" star Dustin Hoffman pushed the director into playing the actor's exasperated agent. At that point, he hadn't acted in 20 years.

Pollack said Hoffman repeatedly sent him roses with a note reading, "Please be my agent. Love, Dorothy." At that point, Pollack hadn't acted in 20 years.

"Most of the great directors that I know of were not actors, so I can't tell you it's a requirement," he said. "On the other hand, it's an enormous help."

In the 1982 movie, Hoffman plays an out-of-work actor who pretends to be a woman to land a role on a soap opera.

"I didn't think anyone would believe him as a woman," Pollack said. "But the world did, they went crazy."

Pollack was survived by his wife, Claire; two daughters, Rebecca and Rachel; his brother Bernie; and six grandchildren.

I dunno if you know this, but there is a very popular rumor going around about Chuck Norris. Ok, there are a lot of rumors going around about Chuck Norris. There is a website, www.chucknorrisfacts.com, that is deticated to these "rumors". They have become so popular, they are in movies, commercials, tv shows, and even on shirts. Here is a few favorites!

  • Crop circles are Chuck Norris' way of telling the world that sometimes corn needs to lie down.

  • Most people have 23 pairs of chromosomes. Chuck Norris has 72... and they're all poisonous.
  • When Chuck Norris sends in his taxes, he sends blank forms and includes only a picture of himself, crouched and ready to attack. Chuck Norris has not had to pay taxes, ever.
  • Chuck Norris can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves.
  • Chuck Norris is the only man to ever defeat a brick wall in a game of tennis.
  • A Handicapped parking sign does not signify that this spot is for handicapped people. It is actually in fact a warning, that the spot belongs to Chuck Norris and that you will be handicapped if you park there.
  • If you spell Chuck Norris in Scrabble, you win. Forever.
  • The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Chuck Norris played in second grade.
  • Chuck Norris once shot down a German fighter plane with his finger, by yelling, "Bang!"
  • Chuck Norris once bet NASA he could survive re-entry without a spacesuit. On July 19th, 1999, a naked Chuck Norris re-entered the earth's atmosphere, streaking over 14 states and reaching a temperature of 3000 degrees. An embarrassed NASA publically claimed it was a meteor, and still owes him a beer.
  • Chuck Norris has two speeds: Walk and Kill..

  • Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris.
  • In an average living room there are 1,242 objects Chuck Norris could use to kill you, including the room itself.
  • When Chuck Norris goes to donate blood, he declines the syringe, and instead requests a hand gun and a bucket.
  • There are no steroids in baseball. Just players Chuck Norris has breathed on.
  • Chuck Norris sheds his skin twice a year.

Ok, I just wanted to know, what are your favorite shows on FOX? I'm into the Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, House, American Idol, King of the Hill, Prision Break and FOX 35 News at 10!

If You could bring back one show that FOX has canceled, what show would that be???

Drive, which only made it to TWO episodes, would be my pick. It was a good show and stared the guy from Firefly (On SciFi). It was like Prision break on wheels. I wouldn't mind seeing more Titus either.

Thursday night's unceremonious ousting of an American Idol former frontrunner, hunky Australian rocker Michael Johns, has sent shockwaves across the blogosphere. Servers are melting and megaherting under the pressure of all the angry message board stampedes. And astounded viewers are still rewinding and re-rewinding their DVRs--trying to confirm if it was all just a hallucination, or if Michael really did get cold-bloodedly cut in what might have been the meanest, most unsportsmanlike Idol elimination ever.

But this is hardly the first Idol elimination shocker. Practically every season, some fan fave who seemed untouchable, invincible, virtually guaranteed a golden ticket straight through to the Hollywood finale...gets cut. For some of these prematurely ejected rejects, it's sadly the end of an era, but for others it's just the beginning of a fabulous new career.

Let's hope Michael Johns falls into the latter category...

Anyway, Michael's exit this week was surely a surprise, but it wasn't the biggest upset in Idol history. So here, in honor of Johns and in ascending order of overall shockingness, are the five biggest surprise eliminations over the past seven seasons.

    5) Constantine Maroulis, Season 4 - With his David Cassidy-ish teen-dream appeal, theatrical flourishes, and bedroom-eyed manner of romancing the camera, Greek god (and future soap opera star) Constantine made all the girlies swoon. Unfortunately, there was one week when he didn't make them vote, so he was shockingly sent packing--this despite the fact that he'd never previously even been in the bottom three that season. Making matters worse was that Constantine lost out to charisma-free, socially awkward Scotty "The Body" Savol, VoteForTheWorst.com's season-4 poster boy and an alleged domestic abuser to boot. Yes, this was the evening when it became clear just how much influence Vote For The Worst wielded over the disgruntled, speed-dialing masses.

    4) Josiah Leming, Season 7 - This was far and away the most shocking cut NOT decided by a public vote. The judges' puzzling decision to not include Britpop-loving homeless ragamuffin Josiah--one of the most favored hopefuls in the earlier audition episodes, at least in terms of screen time--in the top 24 spurned countless outraged protest posts across American Idol message boards. Petitions to reinstate Josiah via the old "wild card" policy were politely ignored by 19 Management and Fox; however, a star-making guest appearance on Ellen DeGeneres, more Yahoo! Search queries for "Josiah Leming" than for any of the actual 24 finalists, thousands of visits to Josiah's MySpace page, and a rumored contract with Warner Bros. Records nevertheless followed.

    3) Jennifer Hudson, Season 3 - On one of Idol's most controversial nights, future Oscar-winner Jennifer was unbelievably joined in the bottom three by the season's other two African-American divas, vocal powerhouse LaToya London and eventual champion Fantasia Barrino. Meanwhile, lesser contestants like redheaded (read: Caucasian) Sinatra impressionist John Stevens were safe that evening, causing some protesters (including Elton John) to cry racism. But obviously Jen got her revenge, when she channeled all her hurt over this very public rejection into her Academy Award-garnering Effie role in Dreamgirls. She's yet to release her first album, but she's already a genuine A-list actress, with a plum role in the upcoming Sex And The City flick.

    2) Tamyra Gray, Season 1- From the moment then-unknown Tamyra auditioned on the then-unknown Idol show, she seemed like the clear one to beat. And week after week, her octave-straddling performances like "A House Is Not A Home" left Paula Abdul in tears and the rest of America in awe. So naturally, on the elimination episode when it came down to Tamyra and the vocally limited, fuchsia-haired Nikki McKibbin, no one for a nanosecond believed that Nikki would be the one who'd stay. Even Nikki herself looked utterly dumbfounded when the vote results were read. Not since the "hanging chad" 2000 Presidential election scandal two years earlier had the public so vehemently cried out for a vote recount...but the fact is, people just didn't realize back then how crucial the voting process was to this show. This was the first real elimination shocker in Idol history, and in this case Vote For The Worst, which did not exist back then, was not to blame.

    1) Chris Daughtry, Season 5 - Chris was another clear frontrunner from his very first audition, and in season 5 it looked like a rocker was finally set to win Idol. In fact, no one, not even Sylvia Brown, could have predicted that it'd be silver-haired, purple-blazered, drunk-dancing Taylor Hicks, and not Chris, who'd walk away with the season's top honors. The easily YouTubed clip of Chris receiving the stunning news of his early exit (via Ryan Seacrest's blunt and almost downright nasty delivery) has been described as a "snuff film for people who enjoy watching others' disappointment," and millions of viewers' hearts immediately went out to the rejected rocker. And millions of their dollars later went out to him as well, when Daughtry's album became the fastest-selling debut in SoundScan history and one of the overall top sellers of 2007. (This made him one of the four most successful Idols of all time, along with Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and Clay Aiken). Meanwhile, the two contestants who actually made it to the finale in season 5, Taylor Hicks and Katharine McPhee, have since been dropped by BMG.

Personaly, I agree with this list. Chris Daughtry is one of the best ever from American Idol. Is there any Idol you were surprised to see go?

Lindsay Lohan is about to see dead people. The 21-year-old actress will soon be working at a morgue as part of her punishment for misdemeanor drunken driving, her attorney, Blair Berk, told a judge Thursday. She has also spent two months in rehabilitation and has done some community service, Berk said at a hearing on her progress toward fulfilling the terms of her plea bargain. Her two four-hour days at the morgue are part of a court-ordered program to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. She must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room. Lohan was arrested twice last year on DUI charges and pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges. She has already served 84 minutes in jail as part of the plea deal.

Oh man I love this! Now if they could have done this when Anna Nichole Smith was in a morgue to teach Lindsay that all people die, even famous ones. I hope this really helps her. Lindsay is a little more standable the always in the media Spears girls, Paris, and Rosie O' Donald.

Reuters NEW YORK (Reuters) - Hotel heiress Paris Hilton's potential inheritance dramatically diminished after her grandfather Barron Hilton announced plans on Wednesday to donate 97 percent of his $2.3 billion fortune to charity. That wealth includes $1.2 billion Barron Hilton stands to earn from both the recent sale of Hilton Hotels Corp. -- started by his father Conrad in 1919 when he bought a small hotel in Cisco, Texas -- and pending sale of the world's biggest casino company, Harrah's Entertainment Inc. That money will be placed in a charitable trust that will eventually benefit the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, raising its total value to about $4.5 billion, the foundation said in a statement. Barron Hilton, chairman of the foundation, intends "to contribute 97 percent of his entire net worth, estimated today at $2.3 billion, including the created trusts, at whatever value it is at the time of his passing," the foundation said. Paris Hilton was not immediately available for comment on her grandfather's plans for his fortune. Jerry Oppenheimer, who profiled the Hilton family in his 2006 book "House of Hilton," has said Barron Hilton is embarrassed by the behavior of his socialite granddaughter Paris and believes it has sullied the family name. Barron Hilton, who is 80, has not commented on Oppenheimer's remarks. The foundation supports projects that provide clean water in Africa, education for blind children, and housing for the mentally ill. Its aims, based on Conrad Hilton's will, are "to relieve the suffering, the distressed and the destitute." "Speaking for the family as well as the foundation, we are all exceedingly proud and grateful for this extraordinary commitment," said Steven Hilton, one of Barron's sons and president and chief executive of the foundation. Conrad Hilton established the foundation in 1944 and when he died in 1979 left virtually all of his fortune -- including, according to media reports at the time, a 27 percent controlling stake in Hilton Hotels -- to the charity. But Barron Hilton challenged the will and after a nearly decade-long legal struggle reached an out-of-court settlement to split ownership of the shares with the foundation in 1988, The New York Times reported. The hotel group was sold for $20 billion in October to private equity firm Blackstone Group, while the acquisition of Harrah's -- of which Barron Hilton was a board member until 2006 -- is due to be completed by Apollo Management and TPG Capital in early 2008. Paris, a symbol of celebrity privilege in America, gained notoriety in 2003 when a home video of her having sex with a boyfriend was posted on the Internet. She parlayed her notoriety, fueled by tabloid headlines about her partying lifestyle, into a celebrity career that has included a reality television show, a book, a music album, and film roles. Then this year she spent more than three weeks in jail for violating probation in a drunk-driving case.

NEW YORK - Another Spears baby is reportedly on the way and it's not Britney's. Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old "Zoey 101" star and sister of Britney, tells OK! magazine that she's pregnant and that the father is her longtime boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.

"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," she says. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he."

Spears is 12 weeks along and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine, which hits stands in New York on Wednesday and the rest of the country by Friday.

"As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody," she says. "Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."

Spears broke the news to her mother, Lynne, just before Thanksgiving, the magazine says.

"She was very upset because it wasn't what she expected at all," Spears says. "A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive."

Lynne Spears, already grandmother to Britney's young sons, says: "I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."

She says her actress daughter, the telegenic heroine of the popular Nickelodeon series "Zoey 101," has known Aldridge for years and began dating him in high school.

Jamie Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana "so it can have a normal family life."

The third season of "Zoey 101" wraps up Jan. 4.

"I haven't spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities."

What message does she want to send to other teens about premarital sex?

"I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's better to wait," she says. "But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."

My god, will someone please introduce the Spears women to the morning after pill or any pill. Please no more Spears! I can hardly stand hearing about Britney. Now we will hear about her sister?!?!?! she is only 16 years old!  I might cry. What do you think of this? Will this get us out of Iraq early? Or will this be enough info to get Bush to attack Iran? We will find out on the next episode of American idol!... Seriously, What do you think?

    Associated Press

GAUHATI, India - With Rwanda off her charity calendar, Paris Hilton has turned her attention to the plight of ... drunken elephants in India.

"The elephants get drunk all the time. It is becoming really dangerous. We need to stop making alcohol available to them," the 26-year-old socialite was quoted as saying by the World Entertainment News Network's Web site.

In the wake of her jail term for an alcohol-related reckless driving case, Hilton is seeking to remake her image from club-hopping party girl to world-traveling do-gooder. She announced plans to do charity work in Rwanda, but the trip was postponed until next year.

Then opportunity for Hilton's "global elephant campaign" knocked last month when six parched pachyderms broke into a farm in the state of Meghalaya and guzzled farmers' homemade rice beer. The elephants went on a rampage, then uprooted an electricity pole and were jolted to death.

"There would have been more casualties if the villagers hadn't chased them away. And four elephants died in a similar way three years ago. It is just so sad," Hilton was quoted as saying in last week in Tokyo, where she was judging a beauty contest.

Sangeeta Goswami, head of animal rights group People for Animals, told The Associated Press: "I am indeed happy Hilton has taken note of recent incidents of wild elephants in northeast India going berserk."

"As part of her global elephant campaign, Hilton should, in fact, think of visiting this region literally infested with elephants," Goswami said.

Hilton's publicist couldn't immediately be reached Tuesday to verify her comments. Another conservationist said elephant alcohol abuse was just a symptom of the real problem. (No, he wasn't talking about celebrities.)

"Elephants appear on human settlements ... because they have no habitat left due to wanton destruction of forests," said Soumyadeep Dutta, who heads Nature's Beckon, a leading regional conservation group. "A celebrity like Hilton must focus her attention on this fact."

Wow. I Thought this was hilarious. That Paris Hilton! What do you think?????

HOLLYWOOD -- With his album The Ultimate Hits set for release on Tuesday (Nov. 6), Garth Brooks was honored with the ultimate award on Monday when the Recording Industry Association of America officially recognized him as the best-selling solo

artist in American album history. The RIAA saluted him for shipments of 123 million units in the U.S., placing him ahead of Elvis Presley, who stands at 118.5 million, according to the organization's Web site. Only the Beatles, who have sold 170 million, stand ahead of Brooks.

"This is a marriage between an artist and the people that allow him to be that artist -- the people that buy these records," he told about 100 fans who ringed the makeshift press area outside the Capitol Records building in Hollywood. "I can't thank you guys enough for your support."

Brooks, dressed in a black western hat, maroon shirt and denim jeans and jacket, gave his acceptance speech on a platform just five feet from his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the unveiling of that star on Vine Street in June 1995, Brooks buried the master tapes to his album, The Hits, beneath the concrete, assuring that the album's sales would be capped at 10 million units.

But most of his other albums have not had such a restraint placed upon them, and the RIAA's new sales level reflects updates on a variety of projects. Sevens and his self-titled debut album both received Diamond Awards, recognizing shipments of 10 million copies. Among the other certifications, Double Live was hailed for sales of 21 million units, Fresh Horses was certified for 7 million and The Lost Sessions logged in at 3 million.

"He has always been true to country music as a format," observed Country Music Association chief strategic officer Ed Benson. "He's never decided to cross over and be anything else, and so it's great that the No.1-selling solo artist of all time is a country music artist."

The Nashville-based CMA, which airs its annual awards on Wednesday (Nov. 7), gave Brooks a crystal obelisk award to commemorate the occasion. The L.A.-based Academy of Country Music also handed Brooks the first Crystal Milestone trophy, recognizing "a specific, remarkable achievement."

"My ... proudest moment of today," Brooks underscored, "is that this honor, this award, this achievement, rests under the flag of country music."

"You deserve it, Garth!" yelled one fan, eliciting whoops from the rest of the crowd.

In typical fashion, Brooks let the fans be part of the occasion as well. He took one of his awards to the edges of the metal barriers and allowed some of his followers to touch it. Others used their cell phones to snap close-up photos.

The event marked an extremely busy day for the Oklahoma native. Brooks had originally been slated to appear on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to promote The Ultimate Hits and it's special "pink edition" which will raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a breast cancer foundation. Leno had even moved up the shooting schedule for the episode to accommodate Brooks, but the Hollywood writers' strike, which began on Monday, forced a cancellation of new episodes.

Brooks was set to fly back to Kansas City for a Monday night concert, his first of nine appearances at the new Sprint Center. The shows are the only live dates on the schedule for Brooks, who officially retired from the road earlier this decade.

Brooks' definition of retirement has always been somewhat hazy, especially since he continues to issue new product and compilations and because he consistently leaves the door open to return to the road after his three daughters have grown up. He still has a manager, a publicist and his own record label, Pearl Records, headed by longtime associate Joe Mansfield.

"The good times," Brooks promised, "are still ahead of us."

The RIAA program is different from the SoundScan data that affects results on the Billboard sales charts. SoundScan, which debuted in 1991, reflects actual sales at the cash register. Brooks benefited specifically from the introduction of SoundScan. His Ropin' the Wind album debuted at No. 1 upon its release, demonstrating a strength for country music that most of the industry had not previously recognized.

The RIAA, meanwhile, reflects shipments instead of actual sales. In addition, multi-disc albums are credited with more than one shipment. The Ultimate Hits will be counted as two units because it contains two audio discs.

As a result, Brooks' RIAA figure of 123 million is certain to grow. Mansfield indicated the label has shipped 2 million copies of The Ultimate Hits, a three-disc set that includes two CDs and one DVD. He predicted that 1 million of those will be purchased within the first week.

This didn't really suprise me. Garth has been the force behind country music for a while now. I have ought everything he has ever done. he is my all time favorite. Please, if you have never heard of him, go buy one of his albums. They are 5 dollars at wal-mart. He is one of the best!

I own two years of DVD yearbooks from Pine Ridge high School. They are really great to own and everyone should pick up on the idea. Todd Denoyer had a great Idea and still does. If your in High School now, maybe set this up as an Idea. Everything up to prom and powder puff. This thing is awesome. Mr. Denoyer is a wiz at TV productions. This stuff is awesome!

I was Born in Burlington Iowa in Feb of 1986. I moved to Florida in 1992 and have been in the same town sence. I graduated from Pine Ridge High School in 2004. In High School, I found two passions. I fell in love with TV. Not, just the TV, but the idea to be on and make TV. I want to be a director. I go to the University of Central Florida. My other love that I came across at Pine Ridge High School is my future wife, Elizabeth. She is the sun in my day and the moon in my night. She is my best friend and the only woman on Earth that I ever want to be with. I grew up a NASCAR fan and it started two months after I was born when future NASCAR star Ernie Irvan was holding me at a local dirt track. The drivers I follow now are Jeremy Mayfield, Denny Hamlin, David Ragan, Jeff Burton, Tony Stewart, Casey Mears, Scott Riggs, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Bobby Labonte, Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch, Juan Pablo Montoya, Dave Blaney, Jamie McMurry, Scott Wimmer, Reed Sorenson, and A.J Allmindinger. I Think Dale Earnhardt Jr. is over rated. And I know Jeff Gordon isn't a fan friendly driver. My heros are Richard Petty, Ryan Cooper (The firefighter who ran into the Sanford houses in 2007) and Fireball Roberts. I also fell into the typical sports like football and baseball. I root for the Tampa Bay Bucs for the NFL season and for MLB I follow the Boston Red Sox. I Currently work at Lowe's in Orange City and love my job there as a Outside power equipment Associate. I'm treated well and the job is nice and relaxing. I plan on getting married really soon to Elizabeth. We set a date for March 6th 2010!!!!!
