So John McCain needs to get to Washington to help fix the economy. I caught myself watching Letterman tonight and McCain was spose to be on. McCain canceled because he had to get back to Washington ASAP. He told Letterman, himself, that he was getting on a plane as they spoke. Well David Letterman made fun of him a little bit early into the show, typical for any late night talk show host, and goes on the say how much he respects the man for being a hero. Then, half way through the show, a live feed comes in that mcCain didn't blow off Katie Curick to get back to Washington. This made Dave very mad, of course. I want to know why not send Sarah Palin in to Letterman while McCain went back to Washington? Put in your back up QB when the first stringer has been taken out. Isn;t that what she is for? She has to know what to do if it comes time to replace McCain if, god forbid, anything should happen to him. This would have been great practice for her. A no show is worse then a replacement.

Why are you interested in who's on a talk show? to get grilled by a liberal comedian?
This post is so ridiculous that it shows that website mgmt has taken a liberal turn, and will post mostly anti-McCain rhetoric.

Why hasn't Obama made a move, to return to Washington, to do the job he's failed to do for the past 2 yrs? Serve his people?

Obama does serve his constituents and contributed mightily to making sure legal oversight and protection for common folk made it into any bailout plan -- things purposefully omitted from Bush's original proposal, whose notorious Section 8 mandated no responsibility, accountability, legal recourse or public record for the Secretary of the Treasury's doling out $700 billion of your taxpayer dollars in white-collar corporate welfare to his investment banker buddies. What Obama is proving is that he is capable of doing more than one thing at a time, near or far. McCain running to Washington is melodramatic, but his "suspension" of his campaign shows a weakness when it comes to multitasking -- an essential skill in a president. In the meantime, the strange disappearance of his running mate, sequestered from the media and kept out of sight, is odd. Vice presidential candidates have always stood in for presidential candidates when the latter is indisposed. Does the GOP team have so little confidence in Palin's preparedness, they're afraid to let her fly solo, without props? If that's the case, it's the first absolutely correct instinct they've had in ages -- and the most potent argument as to why she ought NOT to be one heartbeat away from the presidency.

Letterman with the most liberal biased news commentator who now has been banned from comment on any political venue?

Between the two of them.. did they happen to mention all the times McCain called for debate and Obama refused? Likely not.

Sensiblejoe... Bush's banker buddies? LOL! Talk about ommitting facts!

Nice try.. but YOUR boys voted down party lines not to have regulation, blocked and fillabustered EVERY piece of legislation that would bring regulation, warning shots fired for YEARS and Franks, Schumer, Dodd, etc all ignored it while they in turn received HUGE contributions and donations from the FORMER CLINTON folks working at Fannie and Freddie! Even now those same folks are ON OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN STAFF!!

You want ALL the truth there joe? I don't see anyone on the left demanding an investigative commission to get answers. You libs certainly bring one when you think there is GOP blood to spill....

Media today is having to cover itself on their silence and damage control efforts, FOX and others are calling them out, and the people are starting to smell the truth!

Then we are going to attach that association to Obama. Now try as you like to rub McCain in the savings/loan issue of the 80s, though back then the Democrats didn't find him bad enough to put in prison.

Want to go back and look at history? OK LETS JUST DO THAT! I DARE the media to go there! The "new" media will handle it for ya!

The fact is McCain lied, went on a different show, and Palin is an idiot. They wouldn't dare turn Letterman loose on her. He would chew her up and spit her out.

LOL! McCain lied? Seems to me he is still in Washington because Republicans are NOT falling for the sky is falling hype from the Left.

Democrats are scared to death that if we fall into a depression that when the people start looking for heads they can't defend themselves, and Republicans will be telling the I told you so story to EVERYONE!

A panic that bad times just migh hit BEFORE the election, and Democrats are literally on their last leg of being trusted with ANYTHING!

I usualy watch the Daily Show or Leno, but for some reason I was on Letterman. I just thought it was weird how McCain said "I'm getting on a plane right now" to Letterman and half way through the show McCain is caught doing an interview with Katie. I just thought it was interesting.

I was Born in Burlington Iowa in Feb of 1986. I moved to Florida in 1992 and have been in the same town sence. I graduated from Pine Ridge High School in 2004. In High School, I found two passions. I fell in love with TV. Not, just the TV, but the idea to be on and make TV. I want to be a director. I go to the University of Central Florida. My other love that I came across at Pine Ridge High School is my future wife, Elizabeth. She is the sun in my day and the moon in my night. She is my best friend and the only woman on Earth that I ever want to be with. I grew up a NASCAR fan and it started two months after I was born when future NASCAR star Ernie Irvan was holding me at a local dirt track. The drivers I follow now are Jeremy Mayfield, Denny Hamlin, David Ragan, Jeff Burton, Tony Stewart, Casey Mears, Scott Riggs, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Bobby Labonte, Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch, Juan Pablo Montoya, Dave Blaney, Jamie McMurry, Scott Wimmer, Reed Sorenson, and A.J Allmindinger. I Think Dale Earnhardt Jr. is over rated. And I know Jeff Gordon isn't a fan friendly driver. My heros are Richard Petty, Ryan Cooper (The firefighter who ran into the Sanford houses in 2007) and Fireball Roberts. I also fell into the typical sports like football and baseball. I root for the Tampa Bay Bucs for the NFL season and for MLB I follow the Boston Red Sox. I Currently work at Lowe's in Orange City and love my job there as a Outside power equipment Associate. I'm treated well and the job is nice and relaxing. I plan on getting married really soon to Elizabeth. We set a date for March 6th 2010!!!!!
