i have one male campbell russian dwarf, one female roborovski, four female syrian, and four male syrian
all of them came from people who dont seem to understand that its easy to take care of a hamster, they were living in filthy conditions seven of the syrians were in one aquarium that had a tank topper on it and it hadnt been cleaned in at least a month, there was NO food or water, the hamsters were skinny and dehydrated, the cage reaked of ammonia, there was feces all over the shelves, it took me more than thirty min to clean the aquarium out
the roborovski hamster was in a 2-story my first hamster home and was also digustingly filthy, this hamster is about the size of a grown persons thumb, its a tiny little thing, anyway this hamster came from the same house as the seven syrians and had so much poop in its cage theres no telling how long the cage hadnt been cleaned, this hamster had a friend that had died a few days before, this hamster had no food and water also
one syrian came from a rescue and she was staying with a foster parent who hadnt been taking care of her either, she was in a five story wire cage that her legs fell through, house plastic house was stained with urine and there was poop lodged in places i never though it could go, the whole time i was at the ladys house i was swatting away flies
the male campbell russian dwarf came from some kids who werent taking care of it so an older couple took it until they could find a home for it. it was in a 2 story crittertrail cage and the lady told me that the hamster pooped in the litter box ONLY, she obviously didnt know what hamster poop looked or smelled like, and on top of that she thought it was a guinea pig!
anyway there all doing fine now and the cages they are in get cleaned every other day i and they would really appreciate these donations for these little fellas
oh ans on top of that the seven syrians may turn into forty because the previous owner had three males and four females in the same space!!! PLEASE HELP!
