Any Bob Seger fans out there? In case you haven't heard, don't know, or whatever, on Friday August 29th at Lock 3 in Akron, is a Bob Seger Tribute Band, and I have heard they are good! Admission is free and the gates open at 6:30. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and will be nice for all to enjoy.

Are there any other Crohnies out there who want to chat?
I was first diagnosed in 1979, and for some strange reason, I have not had any surgery. Not that I'm complaining, far from it. So far I am in a remission, but who knows how long that will last.
If there is anyone interested, drop me a line.

Weather
Can't stand this humid weather. Anyone that says there is no such thing as global warming has got to be out of their minds. I long for summer days of gentle breezes, 75 to 80 degrees, and rain without storms.
Although I like and enjoy the ac, I'd much rather have my sliding doors and bedroom window open. I like hearing the birds, not the hum of the ac. I like sitting out on my balcony and taking care of my plants.. Guess I shouldn't gripe, because before too much longer we will be hit with cold weather again.
Started walking every day, but then the high humidity came, and seems to be staying...forever, so I either don't walk or walk shorter distances. Need to hit some of the trails.
Want a car so I can get to them, and the summer concerts at Lock 3. I feel like I have spent most of the summer doing homework or helping family. Haven't had a whole lot of fun. That stinks!
Hope everyone else, or most everyone else is enjoying the summer.

I have read each article about the senseless killing of Officer Josh Miktarian, and each time my heart grow heavier. I watched the covering of the funeral and all the people who attended or were roadside to pay their respects.
I have friends who are police officers, and before I was born, my grandfather was a Sheriff in Kentucky who was ambushed and shot to death. I never knew him, as Officer Miktarian's beautiful daughter will never know him. Through her mother and fellow officers, his memory will be kept alive.
I hope the person responsible for this senseless, violent crime pays to the fullest extent of the law, for he is nothing but a cop-killer and does not deserve to live.
May the family, friends, and fellow officers of the Miktarian family know that they have support even from people who did not know them. My deepest condolences to all of you, and may God help you through this. God Bless You All.
