Global Warming Is A Hoax! Repeat three times.

by phoenixJane from Arizona

John McCain announced plans to run for his fifth-term as Arizona Senator in 2010. Senate terms are six years in duration. John McCain does not have a reputation for helping Arizona and he's well-known for his pro-illegal alien/pro-amnesty voting record. The Republican Party dismally surprised everyone by ignoring their own primaries and pushing McCain to the forefront. Wouldn't Mitt Romney have performed better?

Are there any good reasons to re-elect John McCain to the U.S. Senate for six more years? Are there good reasons not to re-elect him? Personally, I can think of more reasons not to re-elect him, chief of which is that he doesn't listen.

Also, we need term limits and shorter terms. Six years is too long.

No reason to re-elect him.
He made a half-hearted, half-azzed attempt at beating Obama.
He agrees with Ted Kennedy on immigration.
He has made nice with Obama and jumped on his bandwagon.
He voted for the bailout.
Done nothing positive for Arizona.
No PJ, I can't think of one good reason to re-elect him. Assuming of course that we will have future elections.:)

Shorter terms? You bet!

PJ and BOB, I agree, no need to re-elect. We need change! Is there an echo in here?

Arizona's motto should be 'what have you done for me lately', should be asked of all politicians.

Its wayyyyyyy past time for ALL of them to go, especially the ones that have been there for ever like Kenedy. We need to throw them all out and elect non lawyers.

Term limits aren't working either. Just ask Bloomberg. When you have the power and the money you can write your own future.

Look at all of the Clintonites. They didn't lose their jobs...they just lost a turn...but they are baaaacccckkkk.

Deb, that's the 'change' we got! I think Obama may live to regret that decision.

McCain is an old geezer and should retire from the senate. But it is a moot point anyway. When Obama can't scare up a birth certificate, McCain will be our next president.

Put McCain out to pasture. His time is over. Term limits are a must. I would like to see an aptitude test showing a basic understanding of civics and the Constitution, required to register to vote.

DP, New York deserved what Bloomberg did since they did nothing to stop it.

Arizona doesn't have to suffer the same fate, but we need to get busy before 2010. Just waiting around for the next ladder-climber to run for office is not good enough. But that's another blog post.

This election year was not the record turn-out the media predicted. The numbers were no different than the previous "record" turn-outs. Conservatives need to be self-motivated when it comes to politics. That means speaking out and not being afraid of these rude, violent, sexist, racist, hate-filled liberals.

I agree with 54, McCain's concession speech sounded more sincere than his run for office. Can we say: never again?

McCain should be done. After the butt whipping he took from Obama, he should take the time to lick his wounds! And the comment about a half azzed campaign...is exactly what he ran! The best speech of his campaign was his last speech!

As far as shorter term limits go, I do not like them. I agree career minded politicians are not needed, but it takes time to learn the ropes once elected. Shorter term limits continues to put inexperienced people in the place to represent us. Represent us, just don't make it your home!

KenofAz....your an IDIOT! One of those "Good old Boys", the South will rise again. BLEEP...you lost and he got his ass kick by a MAN WITH MORE EDUCATED THAN THE ENTIRE REPUBLICAN CAMPAIGN. Your party is going down for the count. People are tired of hearing that racist BLEEP. You voted for a man who doesn't have the IQ of his shoe size and his VP is a BIGGER dummie! Where do you dig up these people on the back of match boxes. You the Republican party should just ride off into the sunset. It's over, just like the civil war, give up the flag, again you, LOST!

I have never liked McCain. But who are you thinking could take the seat from him in a primary race and not give the seat up to a Dem.??

You have to be pragmatic, unfortunately. Any plausible, ELECTABLE ppl to substitute in for McCain that will carry the election as well?

I'm all for it, if it can be done w/o sacrificing a Rep. seat to the Dum-Dems.

I had to laugh when I read the paper this A M & seen where kyl & mccain both endorse napolena to take a job with obama, you can see that they are afraid she will run for his senate seat, & upset him, she'd dumb not to do this, if she goes to wa. the job may only good for 4 years, where at the present time, she may be doing 2 more years as governor & 6 as senator, a wise move on her part, I could care less as I wouldn't vote for her again myself, & as far as kyl... he's like ol' phil gordon, "badly over rated", best senator & best mayor, but compared to "WHAT" ? kyl is also an "enemy" to seniors, he & mccain, with bush, vote against every thing that comes up for seniors too, just check their "records", people should quit voting for parties, & vote for "new blood", & the best person for the job, not "party cronies", or you'll never change wa. ........

Agreed, pecos. What "new blood" out there do you consider worthy of promotion? What do you think of Ron Paul's CAMPAIGN FOR LIBERTY . End the Fed!

Well chicken-little, I don't think anybody that has anything to do with politics, is "eligible", as look at what we got with "geo. jr.", "W" wasn't a "washingtonite" & look at the "mess" he's got us & the whole world into,

Anybody that goes to Wa. "solo",don't stand a chance "in hell", of doing any changing, as they "clue them in" in a hurry, they tell them to either "play ball", & "shut up", or they will be "shut out", of their "cozy jobs & pensions", & their wives too, so why would they "take a chance on changing a good thing",
would you ????

McCain needs to "retire", I wonder where in the gov. it sez, that all those "ol' cronies", male or female alike, have to "die in office" ??? they are just "so greedy", that they "won't let go of their "good racket", & let a "new scounger" in, he should stay home & spend some of "Cindy's millions" $$$$$, or she could give me a couple !!! LOL....

Ron Paul would have done much better than McCain. I don't know if he could have defeated the Obama democrats but he would have done very well.
