When Obama Takes Power

What will it be like for news corporations, public officials, and even individuals when Obama swears in. I just got a reply back from another blogger stating:

"If any sheriff, Mayor, or Governor thinks he or she can stand up to Obama without facing the consequences, they are going to be embarrassingly put in their place."

Is that true? Maybe it is! I took it as a foreshadowing of things to come when three newspapers were kicked off the Obama airplane, a Florida news station was removed from access to his campaign after interviewing Senator Joe, and citizen Joe was publicly humiliated immediately following an unfavorable question of the campaign. (By the way, the Ohio state official who authorized the background check on this poor soul was just  removed from her position, which is some small reason to hope.)

Should local elected officials expect the same fate as television stations, newspapers, and blog sites?

I read that response earlier. My first thought was that our fellow blogger has just let us know how oppressive the Federal Government is going to get.

The Tenth Amendment - The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

So, according to the Tenth Amendment, Sheriff Joe will be free to enforce our State Laws without interference from Obama.

You had it right pJ, the other blogger needs a refresher in Civics. Obamania has turned peoples brains into oatmeal.

And PJ was trying to explain to that blogger about states rights. We've lived in a flurry of Executive Orders in the past couple decades, AS IF the President has been made dictator without checks and balances.

The pendulum is swinging quite far against state's rights, and the states had best perk up because I see this thing too far out of control. The Federal govt. has grabbed much of the land, and now is bailing out/snatching up industry.

With the economy this bad, the states are in financial trouble. Ron Paul was the only conservative candidate for prez that understands and abides by the U.S. Constitution. I pray that we still have our Constitution after 2009.

Just out of curiosity, do any of you think the Three Stooges (led by BO) have any respect for what the Constitution says?
And the deviant "fellow blogger" to whom pJ refers is still in serious gloat mode, displaying a lack of class as always.

All I can say is "Be Prepared". I am willing to give the creep a chance but based on his words and past performance I expect the worst. If Obama and Congress move too far left, too fast, scuttling the Constitution, the American people won't stand for it.

dhw, that gloating blogger is looking more like a child with every passing day. And no, I do not think the three care in the least bit for the Constitution. And neither does our fellow blogger.

pvg, I agree, things have gotten out of control. We have bailout after bailout and the Federal Government obtaining more and more control. I too hope we have our Constitution after Obama takes over the White House. Something tells me that it will be dismantled before his term is up. No respect for the 1st, 2nd and 10th Amendments. Not enough respect to provide proof of citizenship. His transition team consists of people with ties to terrorists. Then his first appointment is Rahm for the Chief of Staff position so who knows who else he'll surprise us with. He plans on appointing judges that will not legislate based on the Constitution but instead from the bench. I can't say our Constitution has much of a chance.

Yes, dhw, deviant is gloating, but not forever.

Gold, we have no choice but to put up with the creep, knowing full well what he is. The American people are pretty powerless for the most part (and duped, of course). The Federal govt. has technology to wage war on us like nobody's business. We are poor, sick, and most Americans are dumber than a box of rocks.

However, what will work - is if we will begin to be independent and self-reliant (garden, produce something that we can sell) and the underground market will flourish. We need to build a sense of community with others who are like-minded and can be trusted. They will start that snitch program where 1 in 10 ppl is a govt. snitch.

Garden, do beekeeping, raise some chickens (hens) in your backyard. When you do this, you increase the food supply. This helps to offset attempts to ration (and there will be rationing) and gives you a way to continue eating and supplement your income when/if we hit hyperinflation.

They have worked hard to integrate 'tribes' so that we will all be inculterated into one, big, MUTT melting pot. We LOSE our diversity that way, and that's what public school is all about. TV/CABLE/MOVIES has made communities all over the SAME. You don't have different cultural pockets in the same way as in the past.

We all need to be who we are...individuals. The statists want us to be good little comrades.

To the folks who are more political than I am. From your comments, I guess I was right on my blog about B(ody) O(rder) BETRAYAL TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND IT'S PEOPLE.

He is not a respector of other people except for those from his heritage.

I question if BO knows anything about how the constitution works. I don't think so. BO thinks that he so great and has all the answers that no one will dare cross him.

Guess what I would given the chance.

I also think that the person who works for the FBI (FULL BORN IDIOT) needs to go to work for BO.

AGAIN I SAY "JUDAS ISCARIOT" THE TRAITOR HAS COME BACK.

"He is not a respector of other people except for those from his heritage."

In that scooter I think you are exactly right. Well, with the exception of family. He left his aunt in another state living in welfare housing. Can't say he felt too much respect for her either.

And I too feel he will be a traitor to the US.

Oh, that's right. The deviant used to say on his blog that he worked for the FBI. Is that what you're referring to, Scooter?

phxvalleygirl, Yes I am. He is not a deviant. He is a glorified sissy and a twit. Worse than I am. I got him figured out.

Also, not for sure, only through a comment on 15 that his ex was a news anchor and has moved to Utah to be with his quote family. This came from a reporter that I had asked at a crime scene at 7th ave and Camelback while waiting for a bus.

Phxvalleygirl, Here is what I suspect. When I was watching 15 news at 4 several months ago. The weather man made a joking comment about the alternative life style.

It was then that I put 2+2 and got 4. When his original comments about himself and someone else and gave a description and he was right. A beautiful, gorgeous looking man was a news anchor for a local TV station and it wasn't Fox. This dude just should have given his name.

Apparently he used to be married and does have children, again after listening to comments made on the broadcast. Then, when I asked the young lady who was at the crime scene of countrywide at 7th Ave. She had said he went back to Utah to be with his family.

If you have ever listened to 15 at 4 and saw a blonde curly hair type man that was him.

Beware of the Fairness Doctrine that has been reintroduced to Congress. If reinstituted, Congress and their Ruler will shut down talk radio and conservatives will be without.

It's too bad there isn't a Fairness Doctrine for television.

Thanks Tweety, the idea that Obama has authority over state elected officials is bogus. People say things like that for attention, I guess. Obama will have no legal authority to control state and local government. States have authority to tax and raise money, they don't have to take federal money.

I agree, the Fairness Doctrine is a sneaky problem. I do see a more changes ahead with how news outlets proceed though. Obama can harm media companies by not granting them access to his administration, or isolating them at press events as we've seen already. That means whoever does what he wants will get the goods and those who don't are out in the cold. We see the media kissing his ring even now, but can't you see it getting worse?

PJ that was just an ignorant retard that doesn't have a clue.
Obmana will break every promise he made, I can't wait to hear what the liberals have to say when he wants to send US troops into Darfur or the Congo as "Peace Keepers" A.K.A. targets.
