Global Warming Is A Hoax! Repeat three times.

by phoenixJane from Arizona

Last Post 10 hours Ago

The price of one gallon of gas has dropped a minimum of $2 nationwide since Republicans responded to the public on the issue of domestic oil supply! That means, before producing one drop of domestic fuel, the price of gasoline fell from nearly $5 to under $2.50 per gallon. The price was CUT IN HALF within weeks! That's the power of drilling. Americans would be sitting pretty once new refineries and domestic fields start producing, and in the meantime, forcing the markets into reasonable oil prices. Oil independence would be a reality instead of a carrot!

I'm enjoying gas at under $2.50 /gallon and I want it lower. However, November's president elect announced immediate plans to issue an executive order to nullify the recent drilling legislation after taking office in January. Such an executive order will force US consumers to go back to paying $5/gallon for gas. It would force Americans to be dependent on foreign oil indefinitely. It's plain to see that the Democratic plan is not for energy independence at all.

This past April 2008, the USGS issued an update to Congress on oil fields in ND, SD and MT, the Bakken Trend. If you are over 13, the first paragraph from myfoxphoenix Don's Political Blog is required reading. Our own government estimates a whopping 503 billion barrels underground. Recovering just 10% of the oil at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion. That's five (5) government bail outs! Debt-free!  Read it, you will understand immediately what a brutally unnecessary shot in the butt the no-drilling movement really is.

PJ, What makes you think he has a job?

Obama has to keep US dollars flowing to the Middle East. He owes a huge financial debt to his Muslim buddy's for having financed his purchase of the Presidency.

It's a principal all "mutts" understand, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you".

Some relic, here's a town that was going broke. Just today it made news that all of the residents who were sitting on that oil reserve have leased their property. The town is booming! North Dakota Town Sitting on Oil Jackpot

Oh but I forgot, liberals hate prosperity.

According to GOV PALIN!!!!, you can't force an oil company to drill. She tried in AK during her year long stint as gov and FAILED. There is no way to make them drill and THEY WON'T DRILL. Why? B.c when they did so after the last oil embargo, they lost MILLIONS. Turns out, oil must cost at least $70 per barrel before we will drill here. ANd, common sense dictates that it really needs to cost around $100 per barrel since we will still buy gas at that price. Oil companies will make money and will not have any motivation to open up any new supplies since that will just decrease their profit while increasing thier work. Why invest money that you don't need to?

This is the problem with the ENTIRE Rep. platform. They expect the rich to invest in things that won't return more profit. Idiots. Time to find a new platform since that one is just dumb.

If oil is so good to drill drill drill. Why do alaskans pay three dollars fourteen cents a gallon we in arizona no drill we pay two dollars fourty five cents average? Is it to make up for the free checks they get for having oil drilled in alaska?Would you not think they would have the cheapest gas in the nation?Having the drill in the front yard does not pay.Having the drill in the back yard does not pay.So why PUT drills in more states? To charge more per gallon?

What's it going to take to get you two up to speed? First of all, CuCu, do you have a job or not? That's going to make or break your credibility on the topic of energy because you apparently have no first hand experience with the place of oil now and for years to come. Oil is good, we've got plenty, end of story. Second, Alaskan oil has come down from between $5 and $7 per gallon, that's an average 50% drop. Thank their current governor for the decrease, Alaskan prices wouldn't have budged at all without someone addressing the oil corruption in that state. Ak and CuCu, before you make anymore comments, do a little reading, you make absolutely no sense at all.

Also, calling people names or posting insults is not my bag. But CuCu, there's a little saying, "if you live in a glass house don't throw stones." You are painfully vulnerable on the whole intelligence-education front, but don't seem to realize it. A hint to the wise.

Obama will send the price of gas through the roof. My hunch is also that he owes people, and he will govern with the same patronage to "THE RICH" as ever before.

It is not the president's job to force people to use a particular product by manipulating market prices.

hehehe pJ

Don't panic CuCu, word is out, Obama will sign Executive Orders on day 1 to stop any and all drilling. Unfortunately there isn't anything 'green' to take its place so we'll all be stuck with ridiculous gas prices. The domino affect will be tremendous and this time there will not be a Republican in office to shoulder all the blame.

Election 2008 was a demonstration to show just how effective American schools have been in producing [a gullible public]. Next step, deliberately ruin the US economy—then tell a desperate middle class that only government will be allowed to save them.

PJ---what are you talking about? YOu obviously haven't done a drop of research about energy (nor on Gov. Palin.). Please, tell me where I am wrong. WHile researching Palin, I learned that she wanted to start a 'use it or lose it' campaign against the oil companies (something Obama spoke of as well).

The Rep. platform is give to the rich and expect them to invest in their employees in the form of higher salaries and hiring more people. And, as Greenspan and the inventor of trickle down economics said, 'it doesn't work b.c people are greedy'. WHy do you think for one second that someone would invest money in anything without expecting a return on thier investment.

You really need to learn about biz (like most poor/middle class Reps that are tricked to 'hook up the rich' by thier party), energy economics (you can google this. I did and learned a lot about the price of drilling for oil in USA and why oil companies don't do. Oh, you need to understand capitalism before you will understans USA econ. so you may want to start there) and Palin's fight with the oil companies before you pretend like you know what you are talking about.

Furthermore, let's say that we invested in the infrastructure needed to keep up with the new oil fields (assuming they decide to drill in these new places even though they won't drill where they are permitted. But, you guys LOVE giving the govt. more control over people and the land while pretending you are against govt. Liars.), how long will this take? And, won't we just get even more behind the Japanese who will soon have cars that run completely on electricity?

Let's say Obama invests in the infrastucture needed to power cars on something other than oil (how about natural gas. BTW I invested in CLNE and suggest you do the same as it's cheap right now), doesn't that provide the same competition in the same amount of time? Absolutely.

Now, let's say the unthinkable happened and idiot America voted in Mr. 'bomb Iran' himself, McCain. If you ever looked at a map of the ME and a map of the oil fields in the ME (again, simple google. Shouldn't take you more than 20 min. to figure out what would happen), you would know that between Dubai and Iran, the Straight of Hormez (sp?), there are no international waters. THerefore, oil tankers from IRaq, Saudi and Iran would be stopped. Therefore, they would have to use antiquated pipes to transport the oil to the other side of SA. Those pipes are leaking currently so they would have to invest money to fix it. The oil prob would be worse than it was under Carter. Oh, and let's not forgt that Chavez would starve his peeps rather than sell oil to the US if Ahmid. asked him to.

But, that's just coming from an educated elite who

Wrong. And it goes down hill from there. Your fixation on Palin is sad! Get over it. She's a class act and there's nothing haters like you can do about it.
