Arizona’s Supreme Court chief justice has agreed to enforce the demand from the Hispanic Bar Association to ban the terms “illegal” and “aliens” in all of the state’s courtrooms.

Also banned: anchor babies and illegal immigration. Any objections?

Are we hurting their feelings by calling them what they are? Illegal is Illegal!! It's as simple as that!!!

How do we ban the Hispanic Bar Assoc? And does the Hispanic Bar Assoc. know that not every Illegal Alien comes from Mexico?

The Hispanic Bar Association is discriminating and divisive. No surprise that they want to water down the terminology used to describe illegal aliens. The laws of our state and country are inclusive of all citizens. If you are here illegally then you are subject to punishment for the laws you have broken. For the Supreme Court to cave in to the demands shows favoritism to one set of criminals.

Maybe a real bar association will file a rebuttal. I'm not sure how much difference this makes in processing cases, but there is a problem with the courts since they gave this issue any time. I would have thrown it out and issued a warning about wasting the court's time. Isn't this the same court system that keeps turning illegals back onto the streets?

To me this isn't about PC. This is the same problem as trying to legislate from the bench.

Im sorry but I didnt think the Mexican cartel oops, uhhhhhhhh Im mean the Hispanic Bar Association had any LEGAL authority on US soil? Are they taking and passing any American Bar Association here? Or are they simple talking out of the part of their mouth's that they sit on, and our judicial judges are actually considering there plea's?

If you think this is bad just wait till Obama puts his judges in place. We haven't seen anything yet. The law of the land will have nothing to do with decisions coming out of our highest court.

So, a spokesperson from the Chief Justices office was on KFYI today. She said the Justice McGregor did not ban the terms, but did refer to the terms as derogatory and routed them through the Arizona court system.

The spokesperson also said that the Chief Justice routes these requests through the entire court system as standard operating procedure. A request from a private citizen would get the same treatment, and requests from opposing groups would too.

If I got it right, any or all of us could write a letter the the Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice urging the elimination of certain words in state courts. We would then get a personal letter back from the Chief Justice thanking us and stating she would route it throughout the court system and to any related branches of the court. I guess it's worth a try.

Kudos to alternative media—radio and bloggers—the Arizona Supreme Court had to take a second look at this idea because folks were paying attention.

thats how they get these little things pasted into law, this is food for thought! I think i will start reading up more closely on ARS statutes. By the way, the only way to learn the truth any more is to not watch the tube. It's been radio and internet for me for about a year now, in fact i consider tv news to be a lie until i can confirm something. you will be amazed how much most people don't know only because they think if they heard on the tube then it has to be true right?

Yes, unfortunate for everyone that's true. If it's on network news, it's pure unadulterated fact for most of the public. I think people trust in government to keep everyone honest and keep the reigns on false reporting.

I heard it said years ago that the mexicans will take over this country without firing a shot, now I can see how that can happen, the amount of legals are not far from 30% of american population, if the illegals would get amnisy that would put them nearing 40% of population, then all you need is a mexican/ american to run for president and there you have it. I would bet the first order of a mexican pres would be open borders, second order bilingual nation, then we are finished

and the irony would be that the mex/amer president would probably be an anchor baby. if we dont get a real grip on this illegal Immagration issue we will lose america, the courts the laws and all the law enforcements need to get with it,

but then again even if they clean out all the illegals, the legal mex`s are pumping out so many children they will become majority in less then 30-40 years anyway??

If by some chance a "judge" decided on such a decision, then this person is going against the laws of the past and amendments shows and uses the words illegal aliens to describe anyone from any given Country who has entered into this Country illegally or without permission.
Judges have made very stupid decisions like forcing us the legal citizen ,using our tax dollars to fund schools to teach illegals English for one or the Federal Government going against their very laws on illegal immigration and putting up billions of our tax money for services such as welfare, food stamps and the biggest battle of free health care services and we the American must pay or face charges in one way or another .

Awww, we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. You are in this country ILLEGALLY, getting paid ILLEGALLY and you end up in court for doing something ILLEGAL. Oops, sorry, I forgot, I can't use that word.

LOOKOUT PEOPLE the supreme court is trying to soften the way these ILLEGALS are looked at so that 5 or 10 years from now they will be accepted just like the gay marriage baloney we are going through now!!!
