Global Warming Is A Hoax! Repeat three times.

All he did was ask a question within earshot of a microphone. Now, Joe the Plumber is the subject of an ruthless invasion of privacy for his "outspokeness." Is this what dissenters have to look forward to in an Obama nation?

Police in Ohio confirmed that a Toledo police department records clerk is accused of using the police department data system to perform an illegal search on Joe Wurzelbacher's background. The clerk was part of the Toledo police Investigative Services Bureau. She claims she was doing a favor for a reporter. She has been charged with Gross Misconduct. Searching his records was a violation of State law not just department policy.

Immediately following the last debate, Obama donor and director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Helen Jones-Kelly, ordered a check on Wurzelbacher's background claiming, “Our practice is when someone is thrust quickly into the public spotlight, we often take a look.”

Well Joe is mad and I don't blame him. However, the intimidation affects the rest of us regular Joes as much as it does him. Now that his job is toast, I hope he can make up for it in a lawsuit and send a message back for us. Do you think people would be less willing now to get involved in politics after hearing how he is being treated? Wouldn't this affect citizens who are conservative more than those who are liberal?

Yeah, that really sux. Same thing happened to the owners of The New Times with this "sheriff". As a citizen, it is our duty to question; and intimidation only comes from those who don't want to answer, but instead send a message of threats. I think it's absolute crap. Look at the Clintons death list. Obama is Clinton II. His tax plan will not affect the bottom line of the 200,000.00 plus bracket. It will result in layoffs and higher taxes on us, just like with the Clintons. BALLZ TO THAT!!

Is all the fuss truly about the alleged "invasion of privacy" or the fact that Joe the Plumber was a complete fraud. I'm confused on why he would waste his time suing. As I recall he was exposed as a liar on numerous fronts. If I'm wrong, please bring me up to speed....

All he did was ask a question. Obama supporters then investigated him. Add this to the station that has been banned from Obama & the stations that he has told his supporters to call in and harass for asking tough questions, a scary pattern is evident. Don't cross him or ask him anything he does not like. You will be sorry.

I was going to say the same thing as riskman. So jt, this is for you.
I don't see where he committed any fraud. As far as I know, the media announced that he was not a licensed plumber. In fact, several disciplines require an apprenticeship under a licensed professional before you get your own license. Architects, engineers, pilots, and plumbers to name a few. He was appropriately working for a licensed plumber having moved from another state. I heard an interview with him explaining that he was working on his license before he moved to Ohio and was getting up to speed. There was no fraud committed. I heard about his arrears in taxes, but that couldn't be more irrelevant to him asking a candidate a question. And if he does owe taxes, I can see why he broached the subject with Obama.

I don't see where he invited this trouble. Obama came to his street, the media covered the event, the candidates used his name in the debate, then all hell broke loose. Multiple background checks, paparazzi camped in front of his house, looses his job, the deal he was considering is off the table. It's reported that his union blacklisted him. Top it off, I hear Obama has the support of most unions. Plus state employees (one Obama supporter who made the maximum donation) were responsible for the several of the searches into his background. That's illegal! So what's he going to do? He's ruined. I can see why he's mad now—why he would stay in front of the cameras at this point and stump for McCain. I say sue for damages and use the money to rebuild.

What else can we conclude but that it doesn't go well at all for people who ask Obama hard questions? The Florida television station that asked Joe Biden questions this week about socialism and Karl Marx was immediately cut off from further interviews. The Obama campaign canceled the station's interview with Biden's wife, Jill which was schedule next and wrote back:

"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign."

Free speech is an enigma with Obama. Fair questions are punished if they represent dissension. This is blatant in-your-face retribution, not the peer-pressure environment they accuse Bush of maintaining.

Joe isn't even his name to begin with. He never had enough money to operate a hot dog cart let alone a plumbing business. He doesn't even have a license to be a plumber. He was a plant from the McCain camp and he needs to be investigated further. Now he is stumping right along side of Palin on the same stage. If this isn't the most pathetic scene ever I really don't know what is. The smear of Barack ends in 5 days when he becomes President of OUR United States. And that's the truth because the loon says so.

The NWO doesn't like dissension. Those who fail to willingly comply and get with the program, will be sent to re-education centers. Should attitude adjustment fail, termination with "extreme prejudice" will be carried out as non-compliance is not an option.
Not to change the subject, but does anyone else find it a "questionable" coincidence that with the election less than a week away, Gov. Nappy(rumored to be Obama's pick to head up Homeland Security)has kicked the installation of "speed" cameras into high gear?
Traffic safety, or shades of Orwelle's 1984?

And BTW, in a speech the other day, Biden stated that the determining # for being classified as "rich" was now $150,000.00, no longer $250,000.00. If Obama is elected, anyone with a job will be classified as rich, and taxed into oblivion.
Sorry for going off topic PJ. :)

This is all from the guy that says he will always tell us exactly what he thinks and where he stands. Yep. He's just a bundle of information. If a citizen is asking a politician a question a citizen should not have to fear retribution for asking the wrong question. And one should not be illegally searched because of it whether physically or otherwise. What country does he think he's in anyway?

Now the Plumber is going to put out a cd? When will this guys 15 minutes end? And for all of your info anyone can do a background check on anyone one else. All you have to do is pay a fee. If any of you would like me to look up your backgrounds just give me your names and I can do it. Why are the little things such a big issue in the election? The little things can be blown so far out of proportion just to get some media attention it's stupid at this point. And that's the truth because the loon says so.

No problem 54. :)
I see rd...I mean looneyt is back with more denial. So looneyt, what is his name pray tell? Please don't leave a link to fightthesmears.com. And please don't say his name is really Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher...LOL. I doubt very much he was a plant. You're transferring Obama tricks to your opponents as usual. And WFTV's Barbara West was a McCain plant too. That means everybody who disagrees with Obama is a plant. What's more likely is that you're a plant!

The plumber needs to be investigated because he asked Obama an embarrassing question. That's the truth!

The state did a background check illegally and gave the findings to the media. Big difference!!!

A private citizen can do what he wants to make money (something Marxism strictly forbids BTW), that includes taking out a loan to buy a business or buying one that is owner-financed, writing a book, making a CD, getting paid for interviews. You ruined his living and now you want him to go to the back of the soup line.

Joe the plumber did a pile of damage to the Obama campaign so he became their target. You have to discredit and destroy him in order to salvage Obama. That's the way it works. Thank God it's not Hillary vs the plumber!

It isn't even a relevancy who he is. It only becomes relevant when Sarah Palin has him on stage with her. They have put him in the spotlight and he should be scrutinized. His name is sam or havent you watched every single news station lately. i watch every news station and read as much as I can to get all the facts. On your assumption I am someoneelse I have read some of rd's posts and I am in no way rd. I did not come here to argue I came here to discuss topics. rd has a tendency to be very crude from what I've seen. while that is good for some that is not my style. And that's the truth because the loon says so.

Is this but a but a small taste of what we can expect as Americans if we are stupid enough to elect the great megalomaniac Obama. Will his 'truth" squads be kicking down our doors in the middle of the night if any of us should be so bold as to speak out against him? WE've already seen 'youth for Obama' his version of the Hitler Youth. Whats next?

Here we thought socialism should be an issue to be very concerned with. From this it appears Communism is a very real possibility if Obama is elected.

Of course the Obama camp had to ruin Joe. Obama stepped in his own pile of feces and rubbed it on Joe in an attempt to save face and make Joe look bad. Never would Obama admit he was wrong or that he lied.

As for Biden being thrown for a loop. Is it any surprise from what we've learned thus far that the infidels will never get another interview? If people were truly believing in their Messiah would it bother them so much to see him presented with tough and voter concerned issues?

I would feel sorry for the people that support Obama. They all have a common trait, the inability to look at all the facts objectively. But I'll save my pity for our country. If Obama is elected we are at this time looking at the last of her.

This is very sad. To see people who are supposed to be Americans trash a man that wants to help the US succeed. Calling him every name under the sun is not going to win your cause. Now he's a communist he is Hitler? really? One mentions admitting he was wrong.Look no further then the present before you judge the future. Ihave to suggest that if you aren't happy with the man soon to be president you should just move out of this country because there is no room any longer for descent among us. we must all come together as a nation and try to right the wrongs that have been done to her. And that's the truth because the loon says so.

I did observe some similarities, but I apologize for the implication if it's not true, that would be a horrible stigma.

Now as to relevant...
The illegal searches occurred immediately following the debate prior to any public appearances or endorsements. That's the subject of this post. Your view that Joe is a plant is seriously unsubstantiated. So we accept your apology.

Also, am I alone thinking: what weak argument it is to say his name is not "Joe?" Scores of men, my brother included, use their middle name as a nickname. If you want to be taken seriously, I'd reconsider that argument as well as the bit about a plumber not being licensed!

State resources were used to invade the privacy of a private citizen in a politically motivated breach of trust! That's relevant.

A candidate for President executed retribution on a private citizen for asking an embarrassing question! That's relevant.

The problem with Marxism is that its converts don't view the term "private" as valid. Privacy, private property, private investments, personal income, these all go out the window with an Obama regime.

Please provide the proof that the Obama camp had him investigated and it wasn't a disgruntled state employee that did it. All of the accusations flying back and forth are not relevant at this point. Iwould like to say once again that we as Americans need to come together no matter which candidate gets in office and straighten out this country. the lack of working together is what got the US into this mess to being with. the lack of communication is very troubling to say the least. There are bigger issues at stake then joe the plumber or cindy the citizen. this country is in a mess and i think Barack is the man to get it out of the mess. I do not care what side anyone is on but it needs to be straightened out. I also do not care about the things that don't matter when it comes to this country. Birth certificates comes to mind as does the gay issue or the abortion issue or even religious preferences or any other thing that is not going to change the direction the country is headed. You will vote as you like I will vote as I like. I think all of us have been informed to the point of not caring about the issues that are not issues at all. I also have nothing to apologise for. And that's the truth because the loon says so.

"Joe" was a no-show at a rally in Ohio today, and left McCain looking a little embarassed in the video I watched. I also watched a video last night in which Spepherd Smith from Fox News interviewed this guy. It was enough for him to put a disclaimer at the end of the interview saying something like it was just "scary." (Not verbatim) I appreciate your point and see where you're coming from PJ, but I think "Joe" duped the American public into thinking he was something else other than what he really is. If in fact a crime has been committed, someone should answer for it.

Jt, that's the point. No one should care who Joe the plumber is. The point is that an ordinary Schmoe got Obama to spill the beans—play his hand—about "spreading the wealth." The Obama camp along with FOX and the alphabet people turned it around to focus attention on who the Schmoe was or wasn't. I don't care who Joe is, I care what the candidate said in his answer. So should every voter.

The plumber didn't dupe anyone in my opinion. Anyone who was duped was duped the moment they failed to identify a problem with the phrase "spreading the wealth" and, instead, became more interested in some dude's plumbing credentials.
