My heart and deepest sympathy goes out to the officer and his family. I believe no soul should be taken by another mans hand.

However my sympathy quickly turns to fustration, when I see these "cop killers" being found within 48 hours of the murder. But yet when a everyday citizen of Philadelphia is murdered on the same streets, we constanly here that there are no arrest made, no suspects, and no motives.

I have seen with my own two eyes on numerous occasions. Cops come, pick up the corpse of a shooting victim. Pack up and go, all within a half hour. I'm no forensic expert, but i do watch CSI, and there's no dusting for fingerprints, talking to bystanders, pictures taking, nothing, just scoop up and go. Like a trash truck driver, picking up trash.

These same officers who are here to "protect and serve" Philadelphians only seem to conjure up the drive to find the bad guys when it's one of their own. And then feed us with the BS, that these murderers are not being captured because no one is stepping up and speaking up.

Not only are they openly showing disrespect to the family of the victims of the 100 and something murders in 08. But they are sending out a messege to future shooters that " we don't give a darn, just don't kill one of our own". Wow, great way to protect us.

As if it isn't bad enough that this city has a mayor who backs a presidential candidate who less than 25% of the people in his city backs. The city who put him in the position he's in. That was a big slap in the face. And then have the nerve to wonder why people in low income neighborhoods show no respect for the law. Last time I checked, you have to give it to receive it.

HOW BAD DO WE REALLY WANT TO PUT AN END TO THE VIOLENCE?
