The story for today-tuesday will be the cold. Stay warm

Tonight i will say for all areas, NJ PA and the extreme northern part of Delaware, a coating to 3 inches. There could be a few spots over 3 but not many at all. Heaviest possibly after 7pm and before 12am. Drive safe, this snow will stick to everything.

Nothing really major looking in the future but i will talk about monday and feb 10th.

MONDAY- This would be a clipper but models want to keep it in the picture on one run and lose it on another. It will be very cold that snow ratios would be around 20:1. Tonight into tomorrow we should be able to know how this will turn out.

FEBRUARY 10TH- Models have shown this system for about a week now. Remember that the GFS can call the storm, just not the precip type or how much very far out. This needs to be watched carefully in the coming days because it can turn out to be a noreaster if everything comes together.

All eyes on this storm. What will it bring? It is still unknown. But here is my first guess.....

East of I95- 1-4 inches of snow changing to a mix bag. Possibly after 9am changing back to all snow before ending. Ice is a huge concern..

Philly metro- More of a snow situation then a mix, but you will change over to a mix eventually. 1-5 inches.

West of philly- 2-4 inches of snow. No mixed bag for you.

EXPECT THIS TO POSSIBLY CHANGE. IF IT DOES I WILL CHANGE THIS TOO.

Tonight expect widespread snows. Amounts lees then a half inch but wouldnt be surprised if a town receives an inch.

Thursday is a major weather system. As of now north and west of philly will get the snow while south and east gets rain but i expect this to change. I will have an update tonight or early tomorrow. Drive safely tonight guys!

I am lowering my totals due to the uncertainty of moisture that will be crossing the mts. so heres the break down.....

Lehigh Valley- up to an inch or so. Watch out for blowing and drifting snow.

Philly metro- 1-3 inches. Watch out for blowing and drifting snow. Expect higher amounts in some places.

South and east of philly- 1-4 inches. Watch out for blowing and drifting snow. expect localized amounts over 4 inches.

My certainty of this remains very low so if there is a change, i will be right on it. Take care!

We are in red mode due to the chance of accumulating snowfall tonight. The latest model run that just came in, 12 NAM, is now showing the brunt of the storm in NYC. Do I believe this? Yes. This storm will rapidly strengthen bringing very heavy squalls into the area tonight. Heres the break down....

Lehigh valley- coating to two inches. Watch out for blowing and drifting snow.

Philly metro- 1-3 inches. Winds will kick up during heavy snowfall bands. Expect localized amounts over 4 inches possible. Blowing and drifting snow will be a threat as well.

Places south and east of philly- 1-4 inches. Localized amounts over 4 inches nearing 6 is likely due to developing bands.

The bulls-eye in with this storm will be places inside this area. East of lindenwold, north of milville, west of hammonton, and south of mount holly. Expect the heaviest amounts of snow. 1-5 inches. Be careful.

My certainty is low so if there is any changes, i will be right on it.

I am saying a T-3 inches now in heavier bands. Watch out for blowing and drifting snow. Drifts up to 4 inches in some spots. The snow will stick to almost anything instantly by the way.

Thursday into friday. Snow flurries and snow squalls will make it into the area. Expect snow totals around an inch to two inches in most locations. Dont be surprised if there are isolated amounts of around four inches in heavier bands.

Sunday into Monday. Almost the same situation as Thursday's. Expect around a coating to an inch. I'll have more on this potential in the coming days.

Feb 1,2,3. This could be the hot spot for a MECS. The models have been flip flopping and will keep doing so. All we can do is hope that the cold is there and the storm makes a turn up the coast.

We are in orange mode for the possibility of another 1/2-4 inches of snow on thursday. Expect higher amounts in larger snow bands. I should have a complete update tomorrow morning on Thursday's potential as well as early February's!

Now we shift our eyes to thursdays potential...

We are in red mode for the potential of ice and snow accumulations. Im not going to issue snow totals because as of now it seems the precip will not get into our area. Even though people are saying be patient, well while we are doing just that, the storm is moving rapidly east and taking the precip with it. We will see....
