I just looked at the poll on the front page here @ MyFox.  Personally I like the age of 17.

I have told my boys driving until you are depended on it getting to point A 2 B its a luxury.  You are not ready to be in the working world yet and most companies will not hire a teenage unless they are 17.   At the age of 16 you just want to play around and show off you got your license.  But, how many of those 16 yr old kids have a job...They think its fun and games still they are not ready for responsibility yet.

My oldest will be 18 yr in April and he still does not have his licenses.  I was 22 years old when I got mine.. Not that we don't know how to drive we both were not ready to get behind that wheel.   All though at the age of 16  I did have a job and I mostly walked..That is where my oldest is lazy..  He will not get a job,but he thinks we have all this money to toss around.  I love how I mention to him about a job he complains no transportation.  Darlin' those 2 hoofs at the bottom  can hustle around town in joyful play  so what's stopping you from walking and getting an application.

Classic here:   While I am out running errands he will text or call me to pick him up applications while I am out..  WOW, he has a lot of courage to ask me that.  What  is the deal here.  Oh, And I llove the talk about how they will raise their kids totally different.. HA, well, you may in some ways, however, mommy and daddy's stamp  is all ready buried deep with in.  So, for this driving age I say 17 works well for me because I know my kids are not ready.

Yes spring has sprung and everyone wants to get out there and enjoy every moment of daylight.  Remember though with this spring comes construction whether its road, housing its still construction.  I am posting this in memory of Jeff Staley who was killed in MO working on the job.

Pretty day and I was out.  255 S / Horseshoelake RD construction going pretty strong, but I don't see the driving vehicles slowing down. I know I slowed down to 45 and had Jeff Staley in my mind as I watched  2 vechiles take that exit at least doing 55.  Orange is a color which means CAUTION on the roadways or so I thought.  People remember to slow down and be a responsible driver.

This goes for neighborhoods too! But, I like to see 20mp or lower!

I hear sirens!    When an ambulance, police car, firetruck, or any emergency vehicle with their lights on mean pull the heck ALL the way over to the side of the road.  O'fallon ILL driver please wake up and pull all the way to the side of the road.   Ambulance is coming and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  I pulled to the curb in front of a gas station and the 3 cars behind pulled over like 5 ft.  The on coming trafffice doesn't have a shoulder to pull over too and the ambulance needs room.  So, because these drivers don't know what the meaning is the ambulance had to go around them on the curb.  There was plenty of room for these cars to get out of the way of the emergency vehicle.  If you all do not know the common courtesy then maybe you need to go back to driver's ed.   There are way more drivers on the roads today and less courtesy.   When you went thru driver's ed  did they not teach you the correct form for an emergency vehicle.

Let me tell ya....its mean pull off the road and give them the street because next time that ambulance maybe coming to save your Dupa, and I bet you would be a little upset to find out that the traffic wouldn't pull over to let us thru!

Thank you and you can hang up the phone the story is over.

HA!  Let me tell you about the adventure on 3-4-8, Hey, that's today.   I waited until the heart of this storm to really roll in so I can go out and play in the snow.  My honey and I started out first like many others that decide they could be brave!

So much for washing my car on Friday.  From there we are heading to Granite City, told ya I was hitting the bank. I even had my own driver. HA!  The roads are very slippery in areas especially the side roads, or so we thought.  Usually Caseyville 's Street Department is on top, but today guess they all decided to take a break.  They deserve a break now and then.

From Caseyville until  we approached the New Collinsville Crossing we only seen this:

Yes, 1 vehicle on the road, or in the distance there could that be a snow plow?  I don't know I am Snow blind. But, once you reached Collinsville Crossing off 157 comes the excitment.  We watched many spin outs, people doing U-turns in the middle of  157/55-70.  And I like to know where are the Troopers during this?  My honey and I got past that area and onto Horseshoe Lake Rd.

Oh, a dry patch..LOL  Once you hit 111 the roads are terrible as 157, but the drivers are worse.  I gave up taking pictures thought I would distract them more and my luck they hit my car.  I just yelled at him for kicking my car!  Yeah, I know last week it was the radio.  So, out of the 24 cars we seen 20 of them all need lessons except the lonley car above.

Have a Good Day!  Please, Be Civil out there!  The Place you are heading too will still be standing, so take you time we have lots of it.

Well, this is a pet peeve I have with it comes to someone else driving my car.  I don't care if my seat and mirrors are out of place, but when you mess with my radio that bothers me. Especially when I get in and its always on Talk Radio.  Dang it if I want to talk I sure in the heck with not do it on the radio.  That is something I have never got into and I rather talk in person then thru a mic.  I want my radio on FM .  So, when my honey gets in my car he always forgets to get rid of the evidence. LOL Meaning turn that BLEEP off!

Have  A Good Day!

Omg, yesterday while my honey and I were out finishing the school shopping we happen to take a different route home.  We happen to come through this green light and what a sight I seen.

Now, I do not have a picture of this because I did not have my camera and now I wish I did.  This car was down right unique.  So, if any one comes across this car please get a picture of it. Its killer!

Look, we have more motorist out there than pedestrians, however, no one  wants to stop and let them cross.  Even the crossing lights mean nothing today.  Today, watching a lady cross the street and once she got across I watched the driver of another vehicle look at her like she was cutting in her driving time.  Excuse me, but I thought they had the right-a-way?  We R not living in New York, so try to start being a bit nicer.

Now, I would just stick my arms out and stop traffic and let my kids cross, because I am not going to stand at the corner half the day wondering if anyone is going to let us cross over.

Its almost like Why did Perky cross the street?

Make up your own punchline, because I am all out of goober talk. HA!

On Wednesday a 41 foot boat made of wooden planks and reeds set an amazing voyage across the Atlantic Ocean from NYC towards Spain.  The craft had to be towed down the harbor before they release them to be on their own.

Dominique Gorlitz, 41, a German botanist has spent years preparing hisself and crew I believe for this journey.  He wants to retrace the waterways and prove that  ( prehistoric people ) crossed the ocean both ways.   His crew is established with 10 men and 2 women, food for 100 days, fresh water, and only knows what else they need to survive.   The top deck holds 2 huts and a toilet shack.

I hope their experiment is a success, considering they left during hurricane season as well.  I wonder how many lbs of reeds they had to use.

What is going on. Beautiful day and most convertibles I seen today have their top up. Oh, I seen 5 tops down with their windows up, and I want to know What is up with Dat? And, I seen 7 convertibles with their tops down, + mine that makes 8. Now the other day when it was about to rain, I seen every top down and I know I seen over 20 vertibles out on that day. So are we backyards, or just playing a game.

I detailed the car out last week, and dang I wish I had a power shield because I have to wash her again. Also, I name all my vehicles, our blazer is called the black *itch.. She is bad mama jamma! I love that beast, and my covertible is called the purple pansy. HA!

Are we all so busy in our own world that we forget what curtesy is?  Pull over to the side please when the Ambulance is heading your way. What do people think that the medical isn't important enough to wheel your car to the side of the road.  That is just pitiful.  So, people that want to be idiots on the street in your cars are the ones that should not have a license.  Its bad enough people do not slow down during the construction on the highways, and R.I.P. Jeff Staley for he is one that was hit during construction. People start taking some consideration and think before you act. Because one day you will be inside that ambulance and others will be doing the same to you.

Yesterday while I was out on my adventures in my convertible ( top down ).   I happen to be at the stop light near my childhood Hood.  They have stop lights there finally due to many accidents coming out of the area.  I was at a stop light  and one of the local PD has someone pulled over.  Nothing like sitting there and then BAM!  Semi Truck rams into the back of a car.  How many accidents really do happen because people are to busy watching want the PD has that person pulled over far.  So, now I have to sit longer until more PD pops to direct traffic.  I must admit the officer alone did the best her could under the circumstances with having one pulled over for no idea what and now a accident.  All though the PD's can have a bad rap, however, they still try to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.   So, I guess I can say to this: Good job Collinsville Police, and thank you I was the not the one you pulled over for speeding probably!
