Hello MyFox Bloggers of the Great Mid West

......I was over my mommies this morning have coffee with her and she was telling me about my nephew.  He was laid-off and a hero in the same day.   Being the true polock I was I misunderstood her thinking she was talking about their Shih Tzu..

My nephew was laid-off on Halloween day but that didn't stop him from going over to St. Lou  for the big Halloween Party Zone.   So, he dressed up as a doctor and they headed to the metro link.   They got over to the landing and a few hours later there was a fight that broke out.  The man that was getting beat happen to be laying on top of some girl while this other guy was punching and kicking him.

My nephew rolls this guy off this girl so she can get up and by that time the other guy stomped on the head of the other man.  My nephew referred it to a horror flick when all the blood starts gushing out the back of your skull.  By then everyone took off but my nephew who ended up calling 911 and took his entire Halloween costume off to keep pressure to this mans head till Paramedics arrive.  St. Louis PD there watching my nephew keeping pressure to this mans head but they did nothing to help he said. When the paramedics arrived they got the IV in and he started to come through all though he doesn't remember nothing nor his name.   Paramedics did tell my nephew if he did not keep pressure on the back of his skull that man would have died by time they got there.  Especially for the blood to drench a shirt, pants and lab coat before they got there.

Its only a matter of time because he thinks some people were taking pictures with their cell phone, and you know youtube.com will have something sooner or later.

So, my nephew....standing there in his boxers now because he used all his clothes to keep pressure on that mans skull asked the PD if they needed his name or anything and they told him no.  This happens all the time just walk away and act like nothing ever happen.   He asked about all the blood filled  clothing they left on this side of the road.  Police informs him the street dept will get it tomorrow..

Poor guy is now with no clothes and when everyone seen blood they scattered including my nephews ride..  LOL  His truck is at the Metro Station on the Illini Side and his only form a payment is a credit card in his truck..  He called a cab to get to his truck.

How ironic is it he dressed up as a doctor for Halloween? Yes, he is a true "hero" (nobel, courageous) and your family should be proud...your nephew sounds like a really great guy!

Your nephew is a hero you should be proud..
I had cusion who was at a buger kings when he was 17..Sone nothead came in with a knif an gun trying to rob it...

Pule then jumped the guy and everyone just stood an watched or ran out the door..Not one em tryed to help..

He was stabed in the side but he had control and finaly got the guy in a weresling move and keep him there till cops came..

My cusion had 9 stiches and the kknife mised all arters and organs so he was lucky..

But the guy who tryed to rob the place ended up with a broken arm..he was only 16 can you imagin that.

And the guys family tryed to sue my cousins family for braking there sons arm...Din't matter there boy stabbed him...

I hate it when cop's give that I don't care attitude. They could of at least took him to his truck or something.
Probably a guy that has been in trouble before and they just didn't care. Sad.
Thank's for sharing. It is nice to know people are out there that still will get involved. It is kind of scarry now aday.

Your nephew certainly is a hero...These days, most people don't want to get involved...What if that had been the case with this situation?
Sorry to hear about his layoff...I know that is hard...

Wow Perky; that's incredible! Good for him. I'm with Jeanette; I would have thought the police would have at LEAST taken him to his truck...OMG! Or maybe found him something to wear? Glad the cab driver; whoever it was; picked him up. Most may not have; seeing a guy just in his boxers.

CUDOS TO YOUR NEPHEW!!!
