Our "representatives" in Washington don't understand what it's like to struggle everyday to put food on the tables and pay back student loans. It's not their faught they came from "old money". They didn't have to watch their parents struggle to pay for their education. They didn't have to pay back their student loans on minimal salaries.  It's time to hold open discussions with the basic family and find out about their daily struggles. How was the economy of the 1990's compared to now. What was good or bad? The constitution was written by ordinary folks. There were military men, inventors, small business owners, and towns people. You can tell what was written then is still good for today.

I hate to see us being called whinners by the people we elect to represent us. These people in Washington don't even need to do their own cooking or driving. They don't understand.

i coudn't agree more. i work a very low salary job and have lots of bills to pay. I work as a Photo Supervisor at a CVS and only make $8.00 an hour. these huge corporations don't care about us nor does our government. minimum wage should be at least 10 an hour. and why is it that welfare pays better than my job?

I agree with you both whole heartedly. When I dare to mention for the government to step in to make sure every man, woman and child have medical insurance, you would of thought I cussed out the Pope. Especially for people like DrumNbassFace who work every day, pay taxes, bills, etc but isn't offered healthcare benefits and making $8.00 an hour surely cannot afford to buy it individually.
I'm sorry, I wasn't born with a golden spoon in my mouth either. I had and have to struggle everyday to make ends meet. We've got to have a change in this government and we need it like yesterday. On November 4th, make sure you, your family and friends get out and vote. I know all politicians make promises that they don't seem to keep, but hopefully, this candidate, Sen. Obama, will make a difference. The changes won't come overnight but just knowing someone truly wants to start making changes is a mental relief.
