Unfortunately, what you and I want are not in line with what government thinks we deserve. There is a major disconnect between the American Government and her people. Nancy will not change her policies until we are a Socialist nation, and unfortunately, the Republican party seems to be right on board. It's amazing, we potentially have more oil than Saudi Arabia and yet we're, by law, prohibited from drilling. Our Country is now in the hands of the extremists. Unless we vote in people who will "take back" America, we will be a third world nation in 25 years...assuminng Barak Hussien Obama does not start WW3 with his passive view of extremeist threats and their intentions. If elected, he will not change energy policy, nor will he interviene if Iran (nix that) WHEN Iran attacks Israel. That my friend will be the start of a very long and involved war.....Are you ready???

You're right Move. I sometimes wonder if these two political patries will eventually become one.

"A govenrment by the people, for the people, of the people"....Yeah, right.

Yet, they keep removing more and more of our freedoms.

The solutions are simple, getting the "powers that be" to get off their roost is another issue. The solution is to provide energy companies/private industry incentive to explore/develop new technology. This can be done by removing punative laws and hurdles meant to slow down development and keep the oil industry under the Governments thumbs. Stop taxing the oil companies roughly 60% of profits (a particularly loathesome tax, Uncle Same then re-taxes us at the pump), and let them use the money for development. Open up all of our options with regard to oil, that includes ANWR,coastal drilling, oil and shale in Colorado, tar sand in California and use nuclear(cleanest)....But the biggest thing our Government can do to help America out of this mess is to promote "greenocide" .
