See the truck explosion in Mexico?   They're coming to the US.   Ohio threw away billions of federal highway dollars by refusing to raise the speed limit for trucks.  Why?  Because they make more in the fines they collect for speed and 'safety' violatiions.  Most truckers have delivery deadlines-they can't afford the time it takes to fight a ticket so they just pay and go.  A safety violation can be serious-it can also be as simple as a single light out.  Either way there's a fine involved.  That makes stopping a truck fast money for the state.  If a driver is stopped that does not speak english inspectors and troopers are supposed to call for an interpretor.  Did you ever notice the trucks parked behind the scales or along side the road being inspected.  Except for the few vehicles that are forced to wait for a road service vehicle they're not there long.    Do you think they will hold Mexican trucks there while they will find someone to translate?   There's no fast money in that.  A US driver with a CDL will get his license suspended for not paying a fine.  This license is in a national database so if that driver's license is checked in any state that will show and the truck  will be parked until it's paid.   How will they TRACK drivers that do not have that license?   If they get a ticket with a fine what chance is there it will every get paid?   What about accidents,  how will these companies and drivers be held accountable.      Supposedly the first year 100 select companies will be allowed in on a trial basis, then it's open season.    Open season on US drivers and more US jobs.
