I am watching the Today Show as I write this. Oil prices have fallen below $46/barrel, and analysts say it could go below $40/barrel by year end. Don't get me wrong, I like the lower prices we have been seeing, but if you look at what prices at the pump were when it was $55/barrel in '07they should be a whole lot cheaper than we are seeing now.
Oil in the summer of '08 was upwards of $140/barrel, and prices at the pump were around $4.699/gallon (diesel). So, with the difference in price per barrel, diesel should currently be at $1.549, not $2.399 like we are seeing now.
Diesel is also cheaper to manufacture than gasoline, so why is it that diesel averages $.30 more per gallon?

It seems this really upsets the Liberals as they keep deleting it from "their" blogs. Truth hurts I guess.
Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?

.....our leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
Of course, they're all blaming each other.
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

Schapira's proposed smoking in vehicles with anyone under age 17 law is ludicrous to say the least. This is supposed to be America, land of the free, remember that? Last I checked, cigarettes in this country, along with probably every other in the the world is a "Legal" substance.
How dare he try and ban ANOTHER of our rights. Is it not basd enough that we were discriminated against in the last election when we were prohibited from smoking in public places? Yes, I wish everyone would quit smoking, not for the health of our people, we WILL all die from something, someday, but to show the lawmakers and all the anti's of this great land how much cigarette tax dollars do for this country. America was built on tobacco. Don't forget it.
