Obama and Lay-Away....

This country is suffering right now.  The economy is slow and things are tight for a lot of people, but I think things will improve soon if we all band together and make an effort.  What do Barack Obama and lay-away have in common?  They are both examples of how personal responsibility can make our lives better.  How?  Read on....

Lay-away, something a lot of kids might not know, allows a person to buy things they couldn't normally buy.  But unlike credit cards, you pay up front, just like your granddaddy said.  With lay-away a person can own something more expensive than they could usually afford by allowing the store to hold the money.   And having something that is paid for is far more rewarding than credit.

Barack Obama promised us change in government and international relations.  Like lay-away, we have to pay up front, not with cash, but with our vigilance.  Not only must we keep Obama to his promises by being informed and politically active, but we must also work hard to mend a broken system and broken relationships.  Obama asked us to elect him and support him.  This is our opportunity to meet the challenge of becoming a better nation, rather than spending all of our political dough fighting each other.

In a year like this one lay-away will allow people to buy Christmas presents without owing a bunch of money and interest.  Obama promises to do his very best to help improve our economy and security.  Both require self discipline and both depend on us to pay it forward.

I hereby promise to give Obama the same support the liberal left has given Bush for the past 8 years.

Funny how the left bashes, but as soon as they are in control, it's "geee, can't we all just get along"!!!

What is going to happen when you pay into this "lay away" plan and Mr. Obama causes the store to GO OUT OF BUSINESS because of the taxes he slams them with. There goes your wealth out the door and into his pocket. Until that clown is no longer in office, I will not trust anyone with my money. He could wave his magic wand and put anyone he wants out of business in a hearbeat. But wait! He is the great one.

I gave Bush a chance. He blew it when he left our guys hanging in Afghanistan and invaded Iraq. After that I have had nothing good to say about him.

Give Obama a chance. That's all I'm saying. If he does something crazy I'll be the first one in line to yell about it.

I completely agree with you northton on the vigilence thing. People did pay up front and they need to let the store know that if the merchandise malfunctions they will return it and want a full refund. That they will stop their payments if it is determined by consumer groups that the merchandise should be recalled.
People should expect good customer service and if they dont get it, and dont get exactly what they wanted, they speak up loud and clear. The advertising of a product does not always match what you find in the box after you get it home.

fesses up about his background, to include his relationship with Wright, Ayers, etc...there's some much poop on him, it's like a layer of paint....give him a chance...ha!

GAVE OBAMA A CHANCE, WHEN HE STATES THAT WE AS THE PEOPLE OF THE U.S. ARE NOT STANDING ENOUGH TO ASK ANYTHING ABOUT HIM, WHO HE IS, HIS BIRTH, HIS CITIZENSHIP, OR ANYTHING ELSE.

Yes and there are people looking into this, so until then let us not dwell on it. Think positive things. How do you know these people who talk about his citizenship aren't just starting rumors to get more hate stirred up. Not worth it. It is in the hands of the lawmakers, and they will find out the truth. If anyone is really looking at it. If it's true, then he will be held accountable for his actions. He would have tried to defraud our military and our people. It won't be a good day for Obama. Until then don't fuss about it. I believed in my heart McCain was a better choice, with far more experience. He stepped down and was the most gracious man for doing so. I respect him for his words and his actions. Now we have an opportunity to make him proud as a nation, so let us do so. OK
