I think we have went too far in the media.  By showing the killer's face and his video on every newspaper and newscast in America we are giving everyone of our children an idea to be heard that will work!!!  We are presenting this killer as a martyr to people who may have these thoughts in their mind.  Believe me if one person thinks this way there are many that think this way also.  The media needs to focus on the effect some news may have and not just the profit and ratings.

I would like to start my first blog by giving my point of view on Virginia Tech.  This is a complete tragedy that could have never been prevented.  I think that this can occur at any college campus anywhere.  Many of us as Americans try to escape a bad neighborhood or areas due to things like this.  This is a reality check for us as Americans.  It is time for us as Americans to take control and take responsibility for our roles in what occured.  How many times have we sat down at church away from everyone else?  How many times have we sat down on a bench and never even look at the person next to us?  Finally, how many of us actually know the names and number of five people in our neighbor hood?

These are some of the questions we need to ask ourselves.  In everyday life we need to start embracing each other a little more in our lives as Americans.  It may prevent that one person from creating a massacre.
