John McCain's campaign is appealing to his supporters to "fight back against The New York Times." The fundraising appeal follows a story suggesting McCain's relationship with a female lobbyist had worried his aides. McCain denies the relationship was romantic and says the story is "not true."
Our question to you -- do you think this is a smear campaign designs to crush McCain's candidacy? Or do you believe what has been written about the Arizona Senator?

Right now, it's looking like Republican Mitt Romney will cruise to victory in the Iowa caucuses on January 3rd. But there are some people who believe despite that victory, he will fail to ignite the Republican base and win the nomination -- because of his faith.
Here's our question to you. Even if you agreed with most if not all of Romney's positions on policy, would his being a Mormon be enough to sway you from voting for him? If your answer is yes -- tell us why?

America's biggest ally in Iraq is cutting back its commitment even more. Britain says by next summer, it will trim its troop strength by half, to a total of 2,500 troops. And by the end of next year, those may be pulled as well.

The testimony on Capitol Hill of General David Petraeus is stirring lots of fiery debate in our nation. Some Democrats say the General is simply a mouthpiece for the Bush Administration. And Republicans insist the General is speaking on his own accord and simply reporting what he's seen firsthand in Iraq.
What do you think about what's being said about the General and his testimony? BLOG IT!
Election Day 2008

I'm writing this blog entry on August 26, 2007. If election day 2008 is on November 4th, then that means we have almost a year and a quarter left until election day. If you've been watching the news, it would seem like the election is coming up.
It seems like the campaign for the presidency begins as soon as January 20th passed. If you don't know what that date signifies -- that's when the newest president takes office for the first day. I digress. With almost two years to go before people head to the polls to vote for the next president, you have seem campaigns start an earnest. Some have already ended for various reasons.
Is this early campaigning a good thing? Do you think we should have laws to regulate when candidates start their campaigns for the presidency? Is this early campaigning helping you understand the issues and candidates better?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
Former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson dropped out of the 2008 Republican presidential race Sunday. He cites the results from Saturday's Iowa Straw Poll and a lack of money as factors.
The race to the White House is brewing even more on the Republican side with Mitt Romney's victory at the straw poll in Ames, Iowa Saturday. Other candidates are now on the road getting their campaigns moving.
Democrat or Republican, the road to the White House is still over a year away.
So what are your thoughts on Thompson's departure from the race? Would you have voted for him if you were at the Iowa Straw Poll?
Share your Tommy Thompson thoughts on this blog.
