What do you think - does the newly unveiled Bronze Fonz look like Arthur Fonzarelli? Does it look like you pictured it would?

If you haven't seen the statue already, click here.

What a joke. I'm not sure what's more rediculous. The fact a bronzed statue of "Fonzie" was created or the coverage it's been receiving.

This is something to bring good publicity to Milwaukee (which it has). I think it looks cool. I find nothing wrong with the statue or with the good publicity for the city. The actors and actresses has only good things to say and they have told others that too. I guess some people are not happy with the city getting good publicity.

It looks like Ald. Bob Donovan or like a very young Ronald Reagan. The last person at all that it looks like is Henry Winkler when he played Fonzie.

Ya know, I saw an interview with the artist when he was still working on the clay model. He had a life size photograph, front and rear view standing right next to the clay model before it was cast and NOBODY pointed out to him that it barely resembled Henry Winkler before it was cast in bronze? It's not supposed to be an artistic interpretation of 'The Fonz', it's supposed to be a lifelike representation of 'The Fonz'. Clearly it's not. I hope the artist didn't get paid a lot. If it was me I'd withhold payment until I had a statue that actually looked like Henry Winkler as 'The Fonz'.

I noticed that too, folks. Henry has a much larger nose and was known for that huge smile.
His hair wasn't that tall either.
All I can say is I know I couldn't have done better.
I did think it was nice that he put Henry and his wife's initials on the top of the right hand where the veins are.

I don't think it's bad for Milwaukee at all. They have Mary Tyler Moore in Minneapolis and , from what I've heard, a few other cities have statues of famous characters that were set in their city.
I would have loved a bronze Willy Wonka to honor Gene Wilder who is REALLY from Milwaukee and graduated from Washington High School.
Honor a real homeboy.

I think that it is perfectly appropriate that we honor an illusion of Milwaukee, as Milwaukee's government is working with the illusion that Milwaukee is seriously competetive and not the dying dinosaur that it really is.

No, I didn't think the statue looked much like Fonzie, either. I was disappointed. I mean, if we are going to work with illusions, let's make it fun.

I personally think it's a poor resemblance.

I think we should bronze Ashton Kutcher because "That 70's Show" was based in Wisconsin too.

YES! I vote for Ashton Kutcher as the next downtown statute! Excellent idea!
