Let him go!, Let him go!

It's Aaron's time to shine. Besides, no one wants to cry again at another Brett Retirement Ceremony.

I've said this before, I'mma say it again.

Brett Favre is a grown man and he should be able to make his own decision.

Everyone knows and even T.V.V. said it during Breaking News with Tom Pipines and Doug Russell that every since Brett Favre has been with the Packers, him and Ted Thompson have never got along since Day 1.

Brett left because he felt he got had enough and he was getting banged up and there was not anything left for him to do. Now all of the sudden, we hear the Breaking News and he is about ready to come back so he can finish up those two years on his contract.

Ted Thompson, as we heard from the 3 guys on the Breaking News said that "Aaron Rodgers is his guy and he always wanted him to be a starter and now that he is about to be when football season starts after training camp comes to an end after the Packers Scrimmage Game it's going to be game time.

See people don't understand that just because Aaron Rodgers is now the leading Captain of the team, doesn't mean Brett is going to come back and take the spotlight and steal the thunder over Aaron Rodgers. He doesn't want to do that and many of us already know Brett Favre isn't like tha. Why would he want to do that when that's not even his style?

But, if he wants to come back, let him comeback. Brett can play back-up QB just like when Rodgers did (I don't see nothing wrong with that). Yeah, they have one or two new rookies, but who knows if one or both of them is expected to stay because they can get cut just like that and someone else from other team organizations can pick other guys up.

It is only 2 years left. What in the world is the big deal? He can add more to his record stats and still make history? If he doesn't come back to the Packers, well people still are going to respect him wherever he goes, but it could and will be DOOMSDAY for the Packers if some other team gets their hands on Brett Favre, nonetheless possibly pay him extra (for example, like triple or quadruple times more the money) just for those last 2 years left, which indeed could happen for those who are looking for a QB.

Then what?

Somewhere down the line, the Packers Organization could feel very salty in the end, when they realize that giving up their best player in the league who is retired and wants or is ready to comee back can be the biggest mistake there is in any sports league.

Keep Favre

Favre + Packers = Superbowl Appearance

Rodgers + Packers = barely .500 season

If he gets released from the Reserve Retired List, it's all good and he is coming back. However, if he gets released from the Packers Organization, there is going to be a serious threat for another team to pick him up which is going to trouble for the whole AFC & all other teams in the NFC who will the wrath of Brett Favre "if" and I mean "IF" he gets picked up by someone else which is also the talk.

Ted Thompson is just the GM, and he doesn't have no say so whatsoever now that the new Packers President is on top of it. McCarthy wants him back and I know Mark Murphy wants him to come back and many of a few players who probably talk to him and broke into him know they want him back, but there are a few others that don't and Ted Thompson either because they probably see that they can be better off without him and that aint true because without Favre, the Packers would never be the Green Bay Packers if it wasn't for him.

3-Time MVP, Superbowl XXXV (35) Champion, NFC Division North Champions (The whole Packers team from the early and mid 90s to the 07-08 Packers of today).

What is it that he can or "CANNOT" do that he is already done with the Packers that the Atlanta Falcons haven't given him more time to prove himself out of that 1 year season with Atlanta that he has already proven himself to do in Green Bay?

Even though that he has done it all for the past 18 years in the leagu, he can still do more. Like I said, add to his stats which will still put him on top and keep him at #1 in everything.

Let Brett Stay.

Like my boy Chris said:
Favre + Packers = Superbowl Appearance

Rodgers + Packers = barely over .500 Season

Rodgers can start and lead, but he is going to eventually have to share the time in many of those games that will be played for the last 2 year seasons left on his contract.

If someone else picks him and is willing to pay him more, then it's over for the Packers. They will never EVER win a championship, nonetheless will probably even make it to the Playoffs and win another NFC Division North Championship ever again. I bet or GUARANDAMNTEE that 100%.

Anyone else can say what they want, but I'm not going to say I'm right and I'm not going to say I'm wrong, but I know what I'm talking about. I'm out of here. Holla At Your Boy.

I'll take Brett for another year. If I had a choice of Brett for a year or say a superbowl in 5.I will take Brett. He just gives the game and the team something to look forward to. You dont see it come that often in sports anymore.A player like that.He is a Packer and should be a packer if he comes back. Ted Thompson I think should be on the trading block.

Yeah right. Like Thompson's just going to release Favre and let him go anywhere. If Favre comes back, he'll get traded to Carolina or Miami. Two teams that many believe he through his agent "Bus" Cook, is now speaking with. And in return for Fave, the Packers will get a ton. They'll at least get a 1st rounder. This situation is a mess.

Wherever Brett Favre Goes, Many Many Many Packers Fans Will Follow Him Wherever.

That Means They'll Probably Be Paying More Attention To Brett Favre On The New Team (If He Is Going Elsewhere) Than On Our Home State NFL Team. I Mean People Will Be Still Watching and Going To See The Packers On TV or LIVE In Person No Matter What, But Just How Much Will People Be Tuning In Like That?

Thompson will not let Brett play, period. He has been trying to get rid of Brett ever since he brought in Rodgers. It's Thompson's ego that is in the way.
They can't even sellout FanDay at Lambeau this year. The fans are pissed. We all have the right to change our minds. Brett isn't the first and he won't be the last to rethink his retirement, especially since Thompson made him feel unwelcome.
No matter where Brett goes I will support him. I will order NFL TV just to watch him play again and , yes, I would love to see him play against the Pack and whoop them just to prove a point. I support Brett 100%. This release news is old news. We knew this already. I find it incredibly unfair to hold his contract and force him not to play.
I despise Thompson. Ever since he came here our team has changed. I will still watch the Packers, but the spirit is gone. That awesome feeling you would get when Brett would enter the field is gone.
We've seen Rodgers play and it isn't very impressive. The man sat out with a hurt pinky for God's sake. Brett played with his thumb broken on his throwing hand and played well.
Whatever Brett does he has my support.

This just in... Brett Favre was seen outside a restaurant blowing his nose. We believe he was blowing his nose to clear it of congestion, however we are not quite clear how congested his head actually was. For example, we don't know if a sneeze preceded the act of blowing. Sources also don't know if he used a traditional handkerchief, a tissue paper, or store bought kleenix. People close to the incident suggest that it was store bought kleenix (the scented variety), but these reports have not been confirmed.

More updates on the news tonight at 10.

"If you love somebody, if you love someone...set them free!"---a song by Sting

Since BF has been reluctant to speak for himself here...i'll kindly take the podium,

Favre loves the competitive spirit of the game.

But i'm guessing, he just might love the GAME a little bit more than some things:

...like the Packer Organization.

...and his fans.

...or cold weather at Lambeau Field.

I'm quite certain the only thing he loves more ......... is his wife&kids. FAMILY.

Living in Wisconsin and being a HUGE Packer and Brett Favre fan, you want to see #4 as your quarterback. I have been watching Brett Favre since I was 10. When I heard of his retirement I was shocked especially after his amazing '07 season. I knew he would want to come back after a few months of doing nothing. So what if the man made a mistake by retiring. So what if he wants to come back because he knows he can still play. I say let him! Let him be the quarterback of the Packers. Let him finish out his 3 year contract. The Packers have a greater chance of going to the Superbowl with Favre. No disrespect to Aaron Rodgers, even though this was a selfish act on Favre, but he earned the right to do what he wants. The game of football isnt the same without him. He is a true sportsman and a icon. I want him back as the starting QB for the Packers and no where else.
