Huh?! Say what?!

You got it -- there's a report on ESPN that says Brett Favre has the "itch to play." What does this mean exactly? Who knows.

How would you feel if number 4 returned to the Pack? What do you think Aaron Rodgers would have to say about this?

After what Aaron said, I say welcome back Brett. Brett always accepted his position when playing. Whether he played poorly or outstanding, he always admitted his faults and and was humble when winning. Aaron should learn to watch his words.

first of all, i would like to say is that the web team did a great job on the posting of this blog. NOW, getting to the favre topic, you know darn well that favre will not accept a backup qb postition in the league. i don't know where this christ mortinsen got his resources from. anything that comes from that guy is unbelieveable. if favre does come back to play with the packers, he will not be able to wear his #4 jersey anymore. does chris mortinsen have an inside guy to get all of his information? i think that this is just a rumor going around the nfl. once again, web team, great job on the posting of this blog.

If Brett comes back I will lose all respect for the man. He made a class decision to go out while on top. Now he gets the itch and wants to change his mind? He knew that could happen when he retired but now suddenly wants to come back? That never bodes well. And if he has a bad season? People will just remember him with a taint.

Give Aaron a chance. As you all remember Brett was wild in the beginning too.

All I need to say is this -- I hear that Brett is coming back and Ted Thompson doesn't want him back and will not allow him back on the team.

Here is my comment -- HEY TED, IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO ALLOW BRETT THE BEST QUARTERBACK TO PLAY THE GAME BACK ON THE TEAM, IN WHICH HE IS AN STILL AN ICON, YOU BETTER START WRITING YOUR RESUME BECAUSE WERE GOING TO ASK TO HAVE YOU FIRED. Remember we the people of Wisconsin own you and the Packers. So choose your words correctly. Brett Favre has been a Packer a lot longer than you have and he has been the Number 1 Guy for a long time.

Welcome Back Brett !!!!!

I think that after everything that brett has
accomplished, and been thru he should be welcome back until he cant play any more!

Its called loyalty people !

If brett can can play, we all know he will and with all his heart.

If he does there will be a really good reason to watch this season.

I say welcome back wholeheartedly. Who among us hasn't made a decision we regretted? How can you turn away the greatest and most loved quarterback to ever play the game? I always felt Ted Thompson and his crew were pushing him out. Would that not cause conflicted feelings? He has proven he can still play. I can't believe the Packers wouldn't want him back. If that happens, Thompson should be sent packing

As far as I'm concerned that so called report from ESPN is bogus. The Mississippi Sun Herald had contacted Brett Favre and Brett said it's all a rumor, which I thought it was.

A quick and false looking de-bunk there, bond. It looks so familiar.. as in like late april or may when they said he was gonna come back to another team and he debunked it right away.

I really don't know about this.

I think Brett should come back and play the game that he loves so much. HE's the man that took us all the way and can do it again and win. Brett has always been a Packer and always will be a Packer. As for Ted Thompson- who needs him. Find a different job.

We want Brett back!!!!!

WE THE FANS WANT TO SEE #4 BACK AND SEE TED GONE. RODGERS CAN WAIT!!!

For those of you who didn't read what Rodger's said in a Sports Illustrated interview here it is:

"I don't feel I need to sell myself to the fans," he said in the article. "They need to get on board now or keep their mouths shut."

It seems obvious that Ted wanted Brett out when he brought Rodgers in. Yet they won't release Brett. While I don't want to see Brett playing for the Bears, I wonder why they won't release him if they don't want him?

Run Ted Thomson out of town! What a piece of crap, all that Favre has done for this team and he does not want him back. He would not even have a team that is as good as it is if it were not not for Favre. The chance to go to the Super Bowl is worth more than Arron Rodgers to me. After the comments made by him I would rather take just about anybody. Look, I have been a Packer fan all of my 33 years that I can remember, and I have seen plenty of losing seasons, I would like to have one more Super Bowl before I leave this world and I think at this time Favre is are only chance. I leave anybody who reads this with this thought, wouldn't you like to see Brett play one maybe two more years and possibly win a Super Bowl, or take a chance with Rodgers; the answer should be very clear. I WANT FAVRE TO PLAY FOR THE PACKERS!!!! Anyone who says otherwise sickens me!

Get off the Ted Thompson kick. You are all responding to rumours and conjecture. He is planning what to do with his team this fall. He needs to know now - not at the last minute.

Farve has admitted being tired. Do you really think he will get you the Superbowl ring? What happens if he does not have a good season?

As for Rodgers - give him a chance. Farve was wild at first too. He is probably tired of people who will not accept that Farve has retired.

"Run Thompson out of town". Such maturity. Just who do you think should come in? Someone who just wants to listen to fans whining? Get a grip people. How many of you complained when Farve was brought in originally and insisted Wolf get fired? Thought so. Selective memory again.

I think it's important to remember that Favre wasn't playing like an almost-40-year-old player this past season. If he was fumbling and falling down and getting hurt and making bad plays, then it'd be different. But look at how far he brought the Pack! There were so many rookies this past season--imagine how good we'll be if we combine their honed talents with Favre?

I'm all for it.

Centauri...I loved Brett from day one. You could see the kid in him and his love for the game. It's refreshing to see a player that wants to play and puts his heart into it.
Rodgers hurts a pinky and sits out.
Thompson wanted Brett out ever since he drafted Rodgers and Rodgers has yet to prove himself.
This will be an interesting year after the comment he made. You don't insult the fans you need to support you.

Pinks...I agree with you. Brett had an outstanding year last year. One of his best.
I would be saddened to see him play for another team, but happy just to see him play.
