Instead of raising the age they need to tighten up the requirements for driving. Right now all parents have to do is sign a letter stating that their child has had so many hours behind the wheel with them. Its not enough. They need to bring drivers ed back to the schools. Also the people behind this law are forgetting the kids in rural areas. Arizona has more rural areas than big cities and this also includes the United States. These kids need to drive farm equipment, they also have to drive to school and work. Rural areas do not have bus systems or light rail. If Arizona really wants to do something about accidents they need to change the life time drivers license and make everyone renew their license every five years. They do all over the country. We have too many people who have forgotten the rules and manners of the road. Also it would help to elimenate older people who should not be on the road.

Weather
We had crazy weather in Casa Grande today. It dropped about 40 degrees and we got hail. Did anybody else get hail today? I felt like I was back in N.C.

I don't smoke, but I voted against the smoking ban for only one reason, capitalism. If people don't want to eat in a place where there is smoking, eventually the market will dictate that the owner should change his policies or face going out of buisness. But law makers seem to know what is best for everyone because we are too stupid to care for ourselves. Next thing you know they will put a limit on how much red meat we should consume in a week and pass a law banning smoking in your own home or car. Oh,by the way I have a smoking ban in my home because it was my choice, not the governments.
