Have you thanked a Vet lately...??

Who leaves  a loaded gun around a 4 year old.?

How many times in your lifetime have you heard of a child finding a loaded gun in the house and pointing it at somebody and pulling the trgger ?..... A child that age doesn't know he difference between a real gun and a toy one ....... I'm sure in this case that the gun was ready to fire...... I can't imagine a 4 year old boy putting a shell in the chamber of a shotgun or taking it off of safety...... Guns should be locked up and children should be left with responsible adults...... It only takes seconds for tragedy to happen with a child......

Should anybody be charged in this incident....??

Such a sad chain of events cost the lives of 3 in the wee hours of the first day of 2009..... Fires are always unexpected and devastating when they occur...... My heart felt prayers go out to the family of those little kids and their father.......  Fires can't be  prevented but the odds can be sharply lowered with precaution...... Have you looked around your house lately ?...... There are so many things that can be done to make a home much safer...... Regular furnace inspections and gas inspections can head off problems before they occur..... Space heaters and cheap power strips should be discarded..... Long extension cords should be in conduit...... Fire extinguishers and properly working smoke detectors should be properly placed throughout the house.... Piles of junk, greasy rags, paint cans and paper are fire traps.... If you don't know your electrical system then you should have a licensed electrician inspect your home..... But  most important you should have fire drills with the young in your home and educate them on how to Stop, Drop and Roll....... Memorizing the best escape routes with flashlights in every bedroom will increase everybodys chances........ I am all about safety and I needed to vent..........

I find this math interesting....... Have not ever heard of this but stumbled across this formula doing a crossword puzzle........ It was a term I have not heard of so I had to look it up...... Working for a school district has given me the opportunity to meet and get to know many of the Goth kids...... I have found them to be very intelligent, talented, extremely polite and very quiet kids..... But  all eyes on them including the media doesn't give them a fair shake in the world...... When I was 14 the kids rebelled with rock music, long hair, and Bell Bottoms..... In the 60's it was the Flower Child....... In the 50,s it was the Greasers.... All these generations have gown up to be productive adults and I am sure the Goths will do the same and fear their kids just like all the generations have before them........  It applies  much to todays labor crisis... Most of this country has forgot how bad it really was.... I was not alive yet... Can anybody really give an accurate numbr of how may are unemployed today.... Many are not eligible for unemployment benefits.....

Where I come from if my wife was in labor and I was pulled over the officer would have put my wife in his car or given a police escort to the labor room...Instead this officer detained them and issued a ticket.... What happened to the public servants..??

We are all mentally ill....... Unless you live under a rock there will be something that will alter your mental realm and you will interpret things a little different than the next guy......... Most  mental illnesses are harmless and some are actually fun..... I have always loved the class clowns or the guy that is the life of the party sort......... There are neat freaks..... Pack rats....... Ones that can't stand for their food to touch the other food on a plate..... Exercise buffs...... Groupies.......  And many many more ..... One illness that seems to be very common these days is the Control Freak...... Although all of us suffer from it in some harmless form, some will take it to  stupidity and some even to a dangerous level

Many spouse relationships can turn deadly because of this obsession..... 

 Hopefully all of us have  normal mental illnesses...

There are some advantages to the recession.....!!!

Have you noticed that the lines are getting smaller and smaller...... Today I got a haircut, rotated the tires on my van, and went shopping at a couple of stores....... The one common element for today was no waiting....... Three workers at the tire store with nothing to do..... It wasn't even necessary to park before they took it in the stall..... No waiting at Great Clips....... Walked sraight to the chair....... Nobody in front of me at the checkout at the stores......... And the traffic on the road was next to none...... Numbers not needed to be taken at the meat market........ Today was like a scene out of the Twilight Zone..... It's a sign of bad times ahead but a day of no hustle and bustle was nice.....
