Are they after Lori Drew or recognition....??

Milestone cases make great for the advancement of the careers of many..... Lawyers and Judges get a lot of attention and name recognition to advance in their fields..... This case being a first of it's kind has become a feeding frenzy for the media and the who's who wannabe's in the law field..... With all the eyes turned the only moves made by anyone will be those that will make them look the best in the eyes of others..... At this point it is any body's call what will happen..... My prediction is it will be allowed an appeal so there can be another round of this high profile grandstanding......

Shouldn't Politics be left out of the courts...??

Over time there have been a lot of people wrongly convicted and also those that should not have got off because the lawyers and prosecuters were more interested in their careers than they were in serving justice....

"Shouldn't Politics be left out of the courts...??" - mr_wildflower

Justice is as competitive as war and football when you consider that every one on the battlefield or playing field is in some way guilty of some thing. The reason I believe our justice system is one of the finest in the world is that it takes that fact into account. With four branches of government... Executive, Legislative, Judicial and the News Media or if you prefer... the People... then we have four chances to influence the outcomes of our judicial system.

Should politics be left out of the courts? Of course dishonest politics should be left out of everything from kindergarten to Sunday sermons. But to my mind an open and honest agenda is what we need more of... to me a person is fair and balanced who openly admits their bias. To find justice the options remain open so that good may ultimately prevail.
