Way to go America....and you know who I'm talking to. You're the person who is so consumed with yourself or you family that you have to be first in line fo a Thanksgiving day sale, the first to stamped through a door to buy your spoiled rotten kid that X-box or PS3. Just to save a few bucks. You're the same person who killed a 35 y/o man with family and friends because of your self serving pig headed belief that your entitled and so are your children. Your the same peson who uses the soft shoulder in traffic jams because you don't care about anything but yourself. You speed in traffic, cut people off. You are disgraceful. You're the person who butts into conversations to interject your question.

You may not have actually trampled that person, but it's your mindset that paved the way to this mans death.  I'm so small minded, I thought this stuff happened in other countries. What have we become when saving 10% is more important than a mans life. Life truly is cheap. Thank you and good night!

It is Jim, but a man's life over $$$. I also fault the stores, they whip the sheep into a frenzy and turn them loose. It's just crazy. You won't catch me near a store during Christmas (oops, the Holidays). I'd rather pay more, shop the net avoid the crowds and the waiting. Shopping at the mall is no bargain. Remember, it's usually a day long outing, that means lunch, dinner and time waiting in line.
I'm fairly certian you value your time. Besides, most people are either complete animals or their just plain rude. Is your time worth waiting in line and is your time worth the savings??? Probably not. In any event, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

That's why i hate black friday with a passion, people...Americans (the typical ones) are F*u*c**King idiots, that don't care about what happens to the other people around them....only to save what.....$14.

"(oops, the Holidays). "

You better be 'PC' with me, beetch!!!

Wild horses couldn't drag me out on black Friday.

We are becoming a 'me first'...'get the hell outa my way' type of society. This time of year, everybody has $$$$$ in their eyes.

Ahhh..for that matter, ALL times of the year.

Movealready - I couldn't have said it better. I work in retail. Watching people get punched, pushed and stepped on over these game systems, cameras, tv's,etc. - it's ridiculous! These people were so crazy that we kept the merchandise locked up and waited on the patient(surprisingly some)and left the crazy-greedy people without what they wanted. BLEEP them. It's the 1 time a year I see my friendly, nice co-workers turn nasty and mean.
It's disgusting what these customers in the New York Walmart did. I hope the stuff they got is broken and then I hope charma comes back around to bite them in the worst way possible.

I also have worked in retail, an have seen some pretty asinine behavior myself. It's like these people morph into some sort of money dominated entity that is single minded, thoughtless and carelessly driven in It's quest to save some money.

BTW. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving also, Move.

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!

Move, I agree. It's totally outrageous how these nutsos will get up before dawn and brave the cold to wait in line all for the sake of saving some money and/or gaining bragging rights that they're the first to have something. Heaven forbid they or their kids have to go WITHOUT something!

We dared to go to Target mid-Friday morning (only because we were 100% out of cat food and we knew Wal-Mart would be an even worse mob) and it was crazy how people were just snapping stuff up without even looking at prices. Isn't this whole impulse-buying-without-looking-at-prices part of what got us in this economic mess?

Now I kind of understand why my father (rest his soul) would wait and start his holiday shopping at noon on Christmas Eve...

Rainmain said it almost best, "K-mart Sucks", even better "Walmart Shoppers Suck."
I generally avoid walmart because of the people that shop there. Look at the Franklin Mills Walmart. It's sits in a nice middle class neighborhood, yet it's customers look like there in line for food stamps. Now add a killer one day only, first come first serve sale into that mix. Recipe for disaster.
If I sound snobish, too bad. I pay to live around people that don't trample employees to save a few bucks on some stupid Christmas present they couldn't afford otherwise.
Did you see the people coming out if the store with their bags full, walking around the dead man's body like it wasn't there. What a bunch of freaking animals.

Patrick - You don't sound snobbish to me - turns out we think alike. My only incentive to go to Wal-Mart is that they have cheap clothes (especially jeans) and the K-Mart by me looks like a rummage mart. I'm sticking more and more to Target nowadays.

Move - Keep in mind it wasn't just Americans acting this way. I heard on the news that busloads of Canadians were coming across the border to Detriot and North Dakota...

I always think of the song from the "South Park" movie called "Blame Canada" :)

Yeah Pat you don't sound like a snob. I go into that walmart sometimes and wonder where these "slugs" came from. I've seen some of them and then I understand some of the bad attitudes on the employees. They have to deal with these crazy, ignorant people all the time and I only deal with them for an hour of my shopping time and want to slap some of those customers.
