This just in...... Pirate's demand 25 million for hijacked oil tanker containing 100 million dollars worth of oil.

Update

3:00p.m. EST.

 Pirate's told to pound sand, the oil is now practically worthless.

Piracy has been going on but lately has surged because would be pirates realized how easy it is. We as a nation have not hesitated to send special forces into other countries for things such as drugs and terrorism. The time has come when we need to shift a little military attention to the land bases of these criminals.
My guess is, that with all those warships patrolling the waters, they are also gathering intelligence on the land bases, and that this will be soon to come.

I wonder if these pirates have hooks and eye patches. They probably stormed the ship and said Arrrrggghhhh....we take this ship me hardeeeee.

You'd think that with as much as America depends on oil we would do more to protect the shipments.

This is right out of a Mad Maxx Movie. We should do only two things. 1) Adopt a shoot to kill policy, if any boat approaches freighters, unless it's expected, then the crew is armed (with military style weapons/rockets) and have standing order to fire on sight. 2) If hijackers do manage to get on board, then we attain photos of the hijackers (via ship camera/ sattelite) then we round up their family/children and use their tactics against them.

Did you see, Somali Pirates raked in 150 million last year...Man I hope the offer an IPO. If they do, I'm buying in!!!

Who in hell, in their right mind would send a ship through pirate infest waters, with out armed guards????
Remember the pirates took the ship with the Russian tanks on it?
For the value of the oil and the ship it wouldn't kill them to put a could guys on there with machine guns...

P.S. why the hell did they stop? I would have put the tanker into high gear and got the hell out of there (while my armed guards with machine guns are laying down a hail of bullets).
